Epilogue
The Aftermath
On the streets of Juban, Cloud Strife stood looking up at the sky above him, leaning on his Motorcycle Fenrir. With the Dark Kingdom gone, he could now hunt Sephiroth freely without them, but he didn't know how to deal with Usagi and her friends having their minds wiped, and their memories of being Sailor Guardians sealed away.
"Guess it's not gonna be easy dealing with them being regular people now," he said.
"That may be, Cloud, but you gotta understand that one day, Sailor Moon and the other Sailor Guardians, including Tuxedo Mask may be called upon to battle new threats, unless Luna and Artemis permit it," replied Barret.
He knew that his daughter Marlene would be watching and cheering for him from Radiant Garden, which did make him happy.
"As for what comes next, we may never know, but I do know one thing about your personal feud with Sephiroth will never end, as long as he haunts you in the dark shadows of your heart," he said.
"Yeah, for now. But until then, we'll stay vigilant, even after I broke ranks with the Dark Kingdom and struck off on my own to continue my vengeful hunt for Sephiroth," replied Cloud.
He soon got onto his motorcycle, started the engine, and raced off down the streets of Juban.
"Stay strong, SOLDIER boy, and may your heart be your guiding key," Barret said quietly, as he watched Cloud turn a corner and disappear.
Meanwhile, Luna and Artemis decided that they would meet again later to discuss when the next threat would arise, after seeing to it that the memories of Usagi and her friends would return of their own accord.
"Luna, while I understand that they may live normal lives, we must still be vigilant, even if Sora and his friends do show up, and continue their role as Serenity's knights," he assured her.
"Yes, these are the moments that we strive for. When the hope of victory becomes real, and the darkness upon our world is forever banished, can the princess become queen of a reborn Silver Millenium on this world. Until then, may our hearts be our guiding key," replied Luna.
The two cats then departed, as Usagi returned home from school, and dealt with the consequences of her failure from her parents, despite Shingo's rude behavior. She soon went outside of the house so that her mother and father could vent their frustration alone, which did make them relatively at ease.
"I guess, dealing with the consequences of my actions is better than not dealing with them," she sighed, but something in her heart was making her sad, as she looked up at the sky.
Deep down, Usagi's sealed memories of Sora, the Guardians of Kingdom Hearts, and her friends, lingered in the back of her mind, as a small tear rolled down her cheek. Then, after night fell, she soon fell asleep in her own bed, after trying and failing to complete her homework for a few hours after dinner.
