She did not know what was more amusing. The fact that they thought that they were stealthy enough to stay hidden or how they think that she hasn't noticed that they were following her wherever she went. Right now she was walking through the mall in Seattle. Headphones in and music up at decent volume, she walked leisurely through the building. Her hair was up in two messy buns. The outfit she chose wasn't as revealing, even so, she took immense satisfaction at seeing the looks that were thrown her way. Wearing a long sleeved blue top along with light faded blue skinny jeans with knee high heel boots. Around her neck was the necklace Maria gave to her for her 22nd birthday. It was a heart shaped locket. Right now she was trying to look for a gift that she could get for Beth while she was here. This morning was a wake up call. Beth apologized for not being able to contact her until now and Bella was happy that she was okay. It was a short conversation as her mom called for breakfast.
She could tell her stalkers were surprised that she was shopping for this long. Several bags laid at her feet as she sat in the open food court. Her legs crossed with her right foot swaying up and down softly as she browsed through her phone. She smirked before texting her boss. Texting Beth next, she raised her eyebrows as she felt a presence behind her. Said figure had pulled one of her earbuds out gently and spoke. "We keep meeting up at random places, shame its' not on the dance floor again."
Smiling she pulled off her other earbud before turning slightly in her seat to face him. "Yes, it's such a shame. Wanna join me, stranger?" Her foot tapped against the empty seat across from her.
He stood straight and walked to sit down. "Why not? Maybe I'll finally get to meet the woman who can dance the soul out of me."
A laugh escaped her. Pushing the nachos towards the middle, she plucked a chip out. "And I get to meet the man, who can kiss someone into a stupor like you did last night."
He licked his lips before leaning forward. "I can do it again if you want me to."
She looked up from under her lashes and grinned when he tilted his head suggestively. Biting her lip, she leaned back and started eating. She swallowed before reaching to grab another.
"Maybe if I learn more about you." She compromised. He chuckled and the timber in his voice dropped another octave that made her shiver.
"You drive a hard bargain, sweetheart. Usually I can get someone to fall for this charm."
Raising her eyebrows, she locked her lips and watched him. His eyes flickered down to her lips as she sucked off the cheese. "You sure you wanna play this game with me, No Name?" She asked, leaning forward, laying her head on her folded hands, elbows on the table. "I always win."
He leaned back away from her, eyes riddled with lust. "I always get what I want."
She huffed a chuckle then stood up. Chair scraping slightly against the floor, she walked around the table. Throwing her leg over his, she sat down directly on his lap and laid her chest against his. His hands came up to grab her waist and were trailing downwards. She could feel the growing bulge between his legs start to press against her center. Leaning up to his ear. "Are you sure about that?" She whispered as she wrapped on arm around his neck as the other laid straight past his shoulder.
His hands grabbed her butt harshly and she felt him press her more into him. "I'll get what I want beautiful." His voice rasped in her ear. She had to hide the shiver that trailed up her spine. It took a lot though. Blowing on his neck, she smiled then planted a kiss in the spot where his shoulder met his neck.
"Well I doubt you'll get me to bleed over you, but you're more than welcome to try." His hands tightened on her and she snickered before untangling herself from him. His eyes spoke for her as she planted a kiss on his cheek and grabbed a sharpie from her small backpack. Taking his arm, she wrote down her number. His hands reached out to grab her and she twirled away.
"I'll look forward to our game, handsome." She bent over and started collecting her things as she felt him press behind her. Standing straight with her back to his front as he spoke one more time.
"You're playing with fire."
She pulled away and spoke to him from over her shoulder. "Well let's see if you can get me burned."
Bella whistled as she made her way out of the mall, her hips bouncing as she walked out with a slight hop. Her headphones were back in her ears and she listened to a new song that made her energetic. Stuffing the items in the backseat, she jumped in the vehicle and started it. Pulling her way out, her eyes caught the tall russet skinned men walking towards the rabbit. A smirk graced her face. She would end up making the reservation feel like fools by the time she wanted her vacation to be over. Next she went to the grocery store and was pushing a cart half full of ingredients and snacks when another cart bumped into hers.
"Oh my goodness, I am so sorry."
Raising her head, she smiled gently at the woman across from her. "It's fine, no harm no foul."
The brunette blinked at her slowly, glasses falling lower on her face. "Bella?"
Bella tilted her head at her. "Yes? May I help you?" She jumped when she was suddenly brought into a huge bear hug.
"Oh my god, you look gorgeous!" Pulling back, the young woman looked her over. "It's me Angela."
Her eyes widening in shock, she looked over the petite healthy woman. Angela hadn't changed too much though she looked more mature. Her face slimmed down and her hair was cut short and layered.
"Ange," Bella smiled, bringing her back into her arms. "You look great, how are you?" They pulled away from each other.
"Good, good. Things have been pretty good. How was college?"
It was like they were back in class, making small talk. She did like Angela and she regretted losing contact with her when she graduated and left for college. They ended up going through the store together. Catching up with everything she missed these past few years.
"This weekend, our old classmates are getting together for an old reunion thing on First Beach, wanna join?" Angela asked as they made their way through the parking lot.
"Hm." Bella tilted her head. A sinister grin spread across her face. "Sure why not? I bet Lauren and Jessica would be just happy to see me again."
Angela laughed loudly. "They would get a huge shock of their lives though." She looked her over from head to toe before giving Bella her own smirk. "It would be nice to watch." They giggled before waving goodbye to each other.
Pulling into the driveway, she spotted the rabbit in front of the house and shook her head. Of course they were here. Walking inside, she paid no heed to the bodies that was gathered in the living room and laid the bags on the counter. Pulling out the ingredients to the dinner she wanted to make, she made sure her headphones were up a notch so she wasn't disturbed by unwanted guests. Swaying her hips to her playlist, she sung along softly. Washing out the vegetables, she boiled water and brought out the board and started cutting some the washed vegetables. She did not know how long time passed, she was stirring the pot of homemade sauce, when a hand reached past her to reach the finished platters next to her. Her left arm stuck. Turning, she eyed the wolf that stood behind her, holding his right hand against his chest as he stared at her with teary eyes. Seth Clearwater. She sighed internally. While she knew there was nothing he could do but voice his opinions against the slander on her, she did not like how someone as pure as him can be under such narrow-minded people. She resented Victoria for forcing his change by her games. She took satisfaction on the game she played with the revenge bent vampire. And the end of her. She stopped stirring and took a sample of the sauce with the wooden spoon in her hand and stretched it out to him.
"Taste." She ordered. His eyes lit up and he made it known how well it was when he opened his mouth again. Looking at him for a few seconds, she held out her box of Pocky's.
"Dinner is not ready just yet. Give me about 5 minutes." She shooed him off after he pulled about 10 Pocky's out and ran out of the kitchen. Taking one herself, she chewed idly and stirred a few more times before turning the heat off. Looking at the time, she knew her dad would home by now with Sue. Setting up the table for four, Bella took on earbud out and started arranging the food on the table when Sue walked inside the kitchen.
Bella gave her a small smile. "Hey Sue, you hungry? I made dinner for tonight."
"Oh Bella," Sue drew her in a side hug. "You didn't have to do this." Bella shrugged.
"I love cooking, you're not gonna win with this one Sue," Her smile grew. "It's the least I can do.
Sue kissed the side of her head. "Thank you, that's very sweet of you Bella."
She held back a laugh when her dad came in the kitchen sniffing around before plopping on the chair with a satisfied smile. Filling up her own plate, she moved her way to leave the kitchen when Leah came in. Bella smirked and maneuvered gracefully out of the way when Leah tried to shoulder bump her.
"Gotta move better than that Clearwater. That kind of slowness will get you killed." She grunted, trotting up the stairs with a satisfied grin at the snarl that was directed towards her.
"Leah, come and eat before your brothers eats it all." Sue chided.
"I'm not eating anything she cooks." Leah hissed.
"Trust me, I didn't cook for solely you, go hunt for your own food then fido." Bella called, closing the door to her bedroom. A terrible snarl rumbled and then she heard the back door slam. Laughing, she picked up her phone and called Beth. The phone rang twice before she picked up.
"Hey Bumblebee!"
"Hey HoneyBee." Bella smiled as she started eating. "What're doing?"
Beth groaned. "Ugh, absolutely nothing. If we were at our apartment, I would be either at a club or the restaurant or the gym with you."
Bella shook her head. "When you say it like that, it sounds like we don't do a lot other than eat and shake our asses."
"Well...you have to admit, when we do shake it, things go crazy."
"Ha! You eat?"
"Yeah, but I want your cooking!" Beth whined. "You make everything from scratch and it's so good!"
"Don't worry, I'll cook you a buffet when we get back."
"Deal!"
They talked for a few more minutes before ending the calls with goodnights. Her phone vibrated gently as a message notification flashed. Pressing on the icon, a sultry smile graced her face.
'I will have you. This game is mine to win.'
She texted him back, after creating a contact for him under 'NoName'.
'If you say so.'
A couple knocks came through her door and she felt like if she rolled her eyes once more today, they'd fall out of her head.
"Who is it?" She monotoned. Keeping her eyes on her phone as another message came through.
"Bella, we need to talk." Jacob's voice rang out. Snorting, she replied back to NoNames' message and spoke aloud.
"If this is about you and your little puppies following me to the mall, I honestly don't want to hear it Jacob."
A harsh sigh and a slight bang knocked against her door. "Bella, I'm serious."
"So is stalking. Be glad I haven't had the cops called on you already." She snorted.
"What happened to you Bells?"
She had to give him props. He actually sounded genuinely sad. Getting up from her bed, she stretched her hands high in the air then proceeded to strip.
"I grew up. It's called life." She clicked her tongue. "Something you wanted no part in and I really don't need you in it now. Go away already and stop following me." Throwing her clothes into the hamper, her hands were unclipping her bra when the door was forced open woth a bang. Her eyes flickering to a surprised Jacob as he stared at her with wide eyes. Keeping her falling bra in place, she bent over her bed and pulled out a pistol from under her pillow and let out the first shot, letting it fly by Jacob's face. Any closer and it would have clipped his ear. She got the desired effect as he flinched back as the surprised stayed but disbelief colored his eyes. Another shot was aimed at h and he rolled out of the way.
"Bella!" She heard her dad call and thundering feet. He cautiously made his way to the entrance of her room, lifting his hands up as Jacob scrambled to his feet. Lowering the gun she watched as Embry, Seth, and Quil, standing still, as they all gawked behind Charlie. Sue soon ran in and took one look at her before pushing the boys away.
"JACOB! Downstairs now!" Sue growled. Her face started to turn red as now as her father's as he turned to give Jacob a dirty look. Her dad rushed forward to push him out completely before slamming the broken door in his face. Letting the gun fall from her hands unto the bed, she quickly dressed in the oversized shirt. The unclipped bra was taken off and thrown in the hamper. Her father was still staring at the door. She diligently went up and touched his shoulders. Concerned about the color he was turning, she moved him to her bed.
"Dad?" She called out.
"He should know better. To barge in a woman's room." Her father huffed darkly under his breath as he started to shake. "And my daughter's room at that!" He hissed. Knowing that this anger was deserved, she still needed to calm her dad down.
Placing her head on his shoulder, she quietly started unloading the gun and dismantled it piece by piece.
"Remember when I came back during my second year of college. We went hunting and when I shot out the deer and ended up missing and hitting a bee's hive."
Her father laughed. "The damn thing exploded Bells. Thank god we were too far away to be targets of their wrath."
"And the same deer I tried hitting ended up paying for it." She giggled along with him. " It was running and it attracted too much attention." Laying the pieces on the shirt, she smiled gently. "It was the best day of my life, it's when I finally banished Edward Cullen from my heart and learned that they're are plenty of fish in the sea."
"Best thing you've ever told me Bella." Her father hummed, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. "No boys!" He stated. Her eyes sparkled with mischief.
"Dad what if I want to give you grandbabies? I have to grow up sometime." She laughed.
"Adopt." Her dad chided. "Though I won't stop you if you want to take it to the next level with your significant other." He looked weirded out. And it made her grin wider.
"Dad, just don't worry about that right now."
"Bells I'm not stupid. I was in college once and you were states away."
"Dad, I'm a virgin still." She laughed louder as her dad jumped up and shook his hand towards her.
"Ah, yeah dah duh. Okay, good." He grunted. "Keep it that way until your married."
"Yeah okay dad." She smiled at his stink eye.
He sighed and looked at the door again. "I'll get someone to come in and fix this for you Bells. Keep the gun on you always." She nodded at him as he opened the door and closed it behind him. She looked at the slightly splintered door and when it was open she saw the crushed knob. Her thing was she did not regret shooting. Her body was her temple and something that wasn't flaunted in just her bra and panties. Sure she had revealing outfits but this was more private and it was violated. Clinking her tongue, she reassembled the gun slowly, then clicked the safety on. Instead of under her pillow, she moved it to under her covers. Falling back on the bed after barricading her door. She thought about the party that was going to be thrown and grinned evilly. What to wear, what to wear...
