Destroying all hope

The Once-ler asked for a oneshot of a villain kidnapping Snowing and Emma and making Snowing watch as they poison Emma. Set during Neverland. Let's pretend Charming was never poisoned and that they never found a way to transport it across realms.

"Well isn't this lovely. A little family reunion. Well, a partial one, at any rate. You still haven't found poor little Henry…"

"Yeah, but we have you now, and you'll take us right to him if you know what's good for you." Emma snarled, breaking ranks from her parents and pinning Pan against a nearby tree, her poisoned tipped blade held dangerously close to his throat. Yet still, Pan didn't look remotely frightened. In fact, he smiled.

"Well we have grown brave, haven't we, Saviour?" He taunted her, knowing she wouldn't poison him.

"Just tell us where Henry is, Pan. We don't want to hurt you, but we will if we don't get our answers. You're not going to hurt Henry." Charming warned him. Both he and Snow also knew Emma wouldn't poison Pan, but if it came down to it, one of them would. Pan disagreed.

"Where would the fun in that be? No, you've still got a lot more searching to do before you get even close to Henry. Even if you do find him, he's not leaving this island. Not while I still need him. Now, neither are you." Before anyone could ask what Pan meant, with a flick of his wrist the tables were turned. Pan had a firm grip on Emma with her sword in his hand, now pointing at her neck instead. Emma held as still as a statue, lest the poison pierce her skin. Pan chuckled at the panic on the family's faces. "Not so bold now, are we?" He said smugly.

"Alright Pan, you've had your fun. Let Emma go." Snow demanded. Pan didn't move.

"No, no I don't think I will. You never learn, any of you. You were never going to poison me. How weak do you think I am? No, I wanted you all here, so here you are. I always get what I want." The whole family felt dread creeping on them. Of course this was a trap. They might have thought they had the upper-hand on Pan, but he was always in control. He now had the family right where he wanted them. "So here's a new twist for our little game. Dearest mummy and daddy want to go back to Storybrooke so they can have a brand new baby and forget Emma ever existed…"

"That's not true, don't fill her head with such lies." Charming growled.

"Oh, is it not? So you would give up your chance of having another chance for Emma?" He questioned them.

"We don't have to. We get Emma and we get to have more children, like we always would have done." Snow responded coldly. She didn't have to justify herself to Peter Pan. "Emma knows she will always be our child too."

"Will she if she's living agelessly on another realm though?" Pan continued. This stumped all the Charmings. What was he talking about? Emma was the first to clue in.

"Time stands still here." She said, her throat going dry at the thought of Pan's plan. "Ergo, no new children can be born. He pricks me with that sword and the only way to save me is the water that would have saved Hook's brother. Water that only works if I stay on Neverland." Emma explained.

"Clever girl." Pan said, confirming his evil scheme.

"No." Snow said. Neither she nor Charming could believe it. Once again their family was being denied their rightful happy ending.

"Oh yes." Pan said darkly. "Looks like you and David have a very tough decision to make. Happy thinking." With that, Pan gently nicked the skin of Emma's neck with the tip of the blade, just enough to pierce the skin and allow the poison into her bloodstream. Emma grimaced as the pain began to coarse through her veins. She would have fallen to her knees of her dad didn't catch her. Emma was in too much agony to fully think through the situation her parents were now in. They would never leave Neverland if Emma was doomed to spend eternity here. They would not regret that decision, they would not leave their daughter, but it didn't come without pain. For now they knew there would be no second chance for them.
