Chris brought the children out of the city, out of the state, into the state of New York. It was a bustling part of the country, but he needed to blend in. He pulled into a quiet neighbourhood and unto a driveway of a lite green house. His taste.
Escorting the kids inside the place. He setted out immediately and said, "I will get a bunk bed set for you two. I'll be right back, you stay right here. You got your toys, but stay quiet, okay?"
Kyle said, in tears, "I want to go with you, Chris."
Diana cried, "Me too."
Chris smiled, "Alright, then. Come on, let's get some dinner in our stomachs and maybe some ice cream and let's go shopping."
It was late when the kids settled in their own beds. Chris shut the children's door and went to his bedroom. He unwrapped his mattress and lay on his bed spreads. In a couple minutes, he got undressed and fell into his bed and fell asleep.
Chris woke up to a wilderness. He saw all his animal friends about him, running around. He saw his brother running to him, a smile on his face. Chris frowned and turned away, running from Martin. Martin stopped smiling, but cried, "Chris! Chris, wait! Wait!"
Chris took the animal friends which formed into Diana and Kyle and drove them away with Martin forming into the dust behind him. The words ached in his heart, "I'm sorry! CHRIS! STOP!"
Chris shot out of his sleep. He was wet from sweat and panting for air. He got into a bathrobe and shoes and went to the children's room. Finding them still on the bunker asleep, Chris turned away and leaned his head against the wall, panting the tears back. He went back into his bedroom and checked the clock... It was only two A.M. in the morning. Chris fell into his bed yet again, hoping his sleep would not be a nightmare... But the dream's cries still lingered in his head, "COME BACK! I'M SORRY!"
Chris screamed in his pillows, "No, you are not! You are not sorry!"
"Chris... Wake up."
Chris groaned in his sleep and opened one eye. Diana was standing there with her teddy bear. Chris sat up and said, "What time is it?"
Diana smiled, "It's breakfast time! Kyle and I had cereal this morning so you don't have to worry about us not eating."
Chris sat up higher and said, "I assume you had a good night's sleep?"
Diana nodded with a big smile on her face. Chris groaned, "I wish I could say the same..."
Diana's smile turned sad. She climbed unto Chris' bed and hugged his neck. She said, "Why?"
Chris sighed and hugged the little girl. His eyes watched his metal hand. He said, "Martin was in my dream... He... was trying to stop me from running away... I knew he was not sorry because, well, he was mad at me."
Diana looked at Chris, "Did you see Auntie Aviva?"
Chris sighed, "No, I didn't," Then he smiled, "Now, let me get a shower and I'll come out in a few minutes."
Diana squealed, "Are we going to the water park?!"
Chris smiled, "Get your suits on."
Diana screamed, "Yay! We're going to the water park, Kyle! Daddy said so!"
Chris smiled at Diana's happiness. He knew he would take good care of the kids. He went to the shower and took a quick one, got dressed, and met the excited kids. Chris said, "Hang on, maybe I can find a beach for you to play at."
Kyle cried, "Yay! A beach! Sandcastles and water! Chris, could you teach me how to build a huge sandcastle?!"
Chris chuckled as he started up his computer, "Sure!"
As he sighed in , he noticed he got several emails from Martin. He frowned and ignored them. but one caught his eye. Telling the kids to get their beach toys ready in the car, he read the email: "Chris, where are you? Mom was devastated about you leaving... Come on, now, bro. Please, tell me... I'm worried about you."
Chris clicked into the settings and with a heavy heart, deleted his account completely. Instantly, a notice popped up, saying that he got an instant message from Martin just upon deleting. Chris deleted it with a heavy heart. His phone began to vibrate in his pocket. He searched online how to get a new phone number and changed it quickly.
He found what he was looking for and got the directions. Then he got ready with the kids and went to the beach. He taught Kyle how to claim a certain spot of the beach and built with the boy a huge castle. Kyle had so fun in his kingdom and crowned his little sister queen. He crowned Chris as the headmaster. They had so much fun that day that they didn't watch the hours tick by. Diana swam like a mermaid. Everyone had lots of fun until Chris told them it was time to go home.
The ride home was amazing. Diana was still queen and 'hitting' everyone with her stick, which was her wand. Just minutes before Chris turned to the driveway, Diana hit Chris with her 'wand' and grinned, "I grant you your fine wish!"
Chris smirked, "What kind of wish is that?"
Diana squealed, "A mommy!"
Chris turned his eyes back to the road. He smashed the brakes, causing the impact onthe kids. Kyle cried, "What's the matter?!"
Chris was too scared to answer. He said quietly, "We have to move again."
Diana cried, "WHY?!"
Chris put the car in reverse and backed from the house, but it was too late, the reverse caused Chris to crash into another car which was backing out... Chris was getting frustrated as he stared at the Creatrea in his own driveway.
