Catfished
Blue asked for a oneshot of Emma being catfished on a dating app after her parents told her the guy wasn't real.
"Stop laughing!" Emma demanded, her face going beetroot red. Snow and Charming couldn't stop laughing though. It was just too damn funny.
"Well, maybe next time you'll listen to us." Snow said, a little too smugly for Emma's liking.
"Your mother's right. We might not know much about this world's technology, but even in our world we had sirens. This codfishing is basically our sirens…"
"Catfishing." Emma corrected him irritably. "How was I supposed to know he was nothing like his profile?
"Because we told you?" Charming mumbled under his breath. Emma caught what he said, but chose to ignore him.
"Either way, you should count yourself lucky- this time. Tonight, you just had to sneak out a bathroom window because the guy was a bore. Next time, he could be dangerous. Maybe the traditional way of doing things is the best, sometimes." Snow told her. This time, it was a funny story they could bring up to wind Emma up when needed. Next time, it could be a different story.
"It's not like Storybrooke's got a massive pool for me to choose from. Especially when basically everyone knows who I am."
"Oh, so you'd have to stay single the traditional way? This keeps getting better and better." Charming said gleefully. Emma huffed. This night had been an unmitigated disaster!
