AN: Hey guys, it's me again! So, this is the final chapter of the saying goodbye to characters that stayed behind on their respective planets that are going to be taken over by Darkness (as evident of the dark Pyramid ships that are looming over). So, since I'm not planning to make a chapter on Vance who am I going to make a chapter out of? Why I am going to have a chapter with Ana Bray of course. Now I know what ya'll thinking.

Everyone: But Sam Ana didn't stay behind at Mars, she already went and evacuated to the Last City! So uh, why are you making a chapter with her anyway?

To that I say…I know guys. This chapter is gonna have Fireteam Destiny just talking to Ana that's all on all the things that are happening that's all. And also, you'll find a little surprise in this chapter. I decided to add this little surprise in my version of this story since ol' Bungo didn't want to add. Also, this chapter won't have any action. Now ladies and gents without further ado let's hop right into it!

Fireteam Destiny sat down on the second floor of the tower overlooking the last safe city. After they finished reporting to Zavala on what happened to Sloane and Asher, the commander of the Vanguard then dismissed them. As the fireteam took their leave of Zavala's office they looked behind to see Zavala sitting down in his chair as he out a hand on his head, sighing as he did. The fireteam looked at Zavala sympathetically. Caleb asked if Zavala needed company but he politely refused. Ana Bray, a female human Hunter watched as they went out of the office, their faces dismayed. She overheard what happened to both Sloane and Asher from Fireteam Destiny.

The three of them sighed before taking off their helmets. Caleb, a human with white skin and messy brown hair. Wave, a male Exo with blue and orange plating on his head. Isla, an Awoken female with blonde straight hair in a bob hairstyle, she also has glowing blue eyes. The three sat there in silence. Isla sat in the middle with Caleb sat in her left while Wave sat in her left. The female Awoken wrapped her left arm around Wave while she wrapped her right arm around Caleb holding her right hand with Caleb's, both Isla's and Caleb's fingers intertwined. The three cuddled with each other in comfort.

The don't know what to say after all that happening. Usually this is the part where they say 'hey, let's not feel down' or 'we are Guardians, we persevere when the going gets tough' or whatnot. Wave was about to open his mouth but found that he has nothing to say as he mentally sighed. They could ask Saint but unfortunately, he was busy with the Trials of Osiris event. Ana arrived at the second floor as she saw the three sitting there. She looked at them both sympathetically and empathetically. She knows that feeling all too well. The gunslinger Hunter walked over to them.

"Hey," she called out to them causing all three to turn to look behind them.

Isla said nothing as she stood up as she walked over to Ana and hugged her to which the human Hunter returned the hug.

"Good to see you Bray," Wave greeted as he joined in the hug.

"Good to you see you too Hunter," Ana greeted back.

Caleb then walked over to them and then joined in the hug as well. "Hey Ana."

Ana smiled. "You too big guy." They all released from the hug as Ana looked at them. "Mind if I join you folks?"

"Why not?" Wave said.

They four then sat down together with Ana sitting in between of Wave and Isla while Isla sat beside Caleb. They looked up to see the blue sky.

"So," Ana began as she looked at Wave. "How's your Exo girlfriend doing?"

"You mean Ashely? Doing fine. Been training in the Crucible lately with the girls."

"I see…"

Another brief silence enveloped them.

"I heard what happened," Ana spoke up. "I'm sorry. Sloane must be one hell of a mommy Titan. And Asher? Well…he can be grumpy and rude but he certainly means well."

"Don't be girl," Isla said as she wrapped her left arm around Ana. "We're just…sick of losing people we know and care about you know. After what happened to Cayde." Isla gave sigh.

Ana looked at the female Awoken before turning her head to the sky. "Yeah…I heard what happened at that prison. I didn't say anything because I was very busy dealing with Rasputin." Isla, Wave and Caleb now turned their attention to Ana. "Andal talked a lot 'bout Cayde, said he's one of a kind of a Gunslinger just like me. He said that if you're ever out there in the wilds, Cayde's got your back, always. I met Cayde a while back, and man he's just out of this world. He took me to a ramen shop, first time I've eaten a ramen. We talked about what it means to be a Gunslinger, taught me a thing or two about some gunslinging skills I didn't know about. He said he couldn't ask for a better Hunter Vanguard and friend like Andal. Look, it's not your fault he's dead guys. And I know you and the Young Wolf didn't stay quiet after what happened. I'm gonna miss him too, you guys ain't the only one. He's one of my best buddies too. And if you guys got ANYTHING you want to talk about, I'll be right here."

The three smiled at her as they nodded their heads.

"AND, us and the Young Wolf will be right here for you too if you ever need anything," Caleb promised.

Ana gave a smile. "Thanks guys. By the way what happened to that Awoken prince that killed Cayde?"

"Oh, he's dead," Wave said casually.

Ana gave a surprised expression.

"We just stayed behind and fend off a horde of Scorn while the Young Wolf went in to get Uldren," Caleb explained.

"I see. I'm sorry if I couldn't do anything. I was just too busy dealing with the big guy to the point I missed the whole thing," Ana said her face filled with guilt.

"Don't sweat it. You know speaking of Cayde," Wave began. "He once made a bet between us on whoever gets through a Crucible match without dying gets 20,000 Glimmer."

"Really? He once made a bet with me on who could shoot a fast-moving Cabal Thresher with our Golden Gun. Loser pays 100,000," Ana explained.

"Holy sh*t you serious?" Isla asked in surprise.

"Yup," Ana replied. "I win of course." All of them laughed a little, knowing Cayde has lost lots of Glimmer. "Of course, I treated Cayde with some delicious bowl of Ramen. Like the nice friend I was of course."

"Aww, how nice of you," Isla complimented.

"It's nothing," Ana said.

"Speaking of, ya'll want to get some Ramen?" Wave asked. "In honor of Cayde?"

Ana, Isla and Caleb smiled at that.

Minutes later the Guardians went down from the tower and into the city.

"So, you know which Ramen shop that Cayde took you to?" Isla tested her.

"Oh, I remember. It's right around…. there!" Ana then pointed to a Japanese written letter outside of the shop.

"Nice, you remembered," Caleb commented.

They all went into the shop/restaurant as they took their seat with Ana sitting beside Wave while Isla sat beside Caleb.

A black-haired female waiter came to their table.

"Well, hello, if it isn't Fireteam Destiny and Ana. What can I get you guys?" the female waiter said.

"Hey Kate, you know Ana?" Wave asked.

"Oh yeah, her and Cayde went here ALL the time, along with Shiro." Wave just nodded. "So, what can I get you folks?"

"We'll have Cayde's usual," Isla said.

"Ah, in honor of Cayde?" the waiter realized.

"Yup," Caleb answered.

"Alright then," she said as she wrote it down on her notebook. "Be right back."

"Do you, uh, think Sloane ate Ramen before?" Wave asked them.

"You know, now that I think about it…I don't think she did," Isla said.

"Actually, she did," Caleb said. All eyes were on the Titan. "I was helping Kate and the people in this Ramen restaurant with their supplies. Just as I finished sending them the supplies, I saw Zavala, Amanda, Ikora, Tess and Sloane in the restaurant. I went and greet them."

"Huh, so that's it," Wave said.

"Uh-huh," Caleb replied. "What'd you think of Sloane Ana?"

"Well, she certainly is one hell of a Titan like Shaxx, Saladin, Saint-14, Redrix-3, Wei Ning, you name it. She feels like a mom too."

"Huh, you felt that too huh?" Wave muttered but Ana could hear it.

"Is she such a mom to you guys too?" Ana asked.

"Yup, but we don't mind," Isla replied. "Sure, it may get a bit annoying but I'd rather have Sloane be like a mom to us than hearing Vance's ramblings about Osiris."

"Oh yeah, whatever happened to that nut of a cultist?" Wave wondered.

Isla shrugged. "Who knows?"

"Your orders are here!" Kate announced. They all looked to see Kate carrying their food. She placed the food on the table one by one. "Here you go, in honor of Cayde. Enjoy!"

"Thanks Kate!" Wave said before looking at the bowl of Ramen as Ana talked with Caleb and Isla. Memories began flooding his mind as he remembered all those days when Cayde was with them. He clenched his hand to a fist as he gave a sigh, closing his eyes as he did so. He was holding back his tears. Caleb noticed his friend with his head down, not talking.

"Hey," Caleb spoke as he placed a hand on brother in arms. "You okay bro?"

Both Ana and Isla turned their attention to the two of them.

"Just need a minute," Wave said as tears started falling. Ana, Isla and Caleb looked at the Exo Hunter with sympathy.

"It's ok Hunter. He's in a better place now," Ana says with an assuring tone as he stroked his Wave's shoulder.

Isla got up from her seat as he gave Wave a light pat on his back. "We're gonna miss him as much as you do. Cayde wouldn't want us to feel like this forever, now would he?"

Alisha appeared out of thin air as she sticked her shell on the side of his head as a sign of a hug.

"Stay strong Hunter."

Wave gave a deep a breath before sighing. "Yeah…*ahem*…you're right. He wiped his tears away as he picked up his chopsticks. "Let's feast."

For the next few minutes, the Guardians ate their Ramen in peace while Alisha went and talked with Kate leaving them to their meal. After they finishing their meal, they, along wish Alisha left the Ramen restaurant.

"Thank you! Come back again!" Kate said.

"Is Wave gonna be okay?" one of the chefs asked her.

"He'll pull through," Kate replied.

"Things just aren't the same without that goofball of an Exo you know," the chef said. "Poor Cayde just wants to get out of the tower to explore like he used to."

"Yeah."

"So, where we going after this?" Ana asked them.

"That's a good one," Isla said as she starts to think. "Hmmm…"

"We could go up to the top of that wall," Caleb suggested as he pointed to the wall that surrounded the city.

"I don't see why not," Wave said.

"What do you think Ana?" Isla asked.

"Sure, let's go to the wall. It's been a while I haven't been there."

It took the Guardians around 20 minutes for them to arrive at the top of the wall as they saw everything in the city.

"Hot da*n would you look at that," Ana mused. "Been a while indeed."

"And this very same wall we are standing is what we Titans are sworn to defend along with the city and her people," Caleb said in a serious tone.

Isla smiled at him as she playfully nudges at him, chuckling as she did. "It's all because of Titans like you the city is going to stand forever."

Caleb smiled at her.

One by one the Guardians sat down with Wave and Ana sitting beside each other while Isla sat between Caleb and Ana. They stare at city for a good few minute.

"Darkness is arriving in the Solar System," Ana spoke up. "And not even the big guy could handle them. I mean he's okay now it's just…I didn't know an entity as powerful as this could just…take Rasputin out."

"I'm with you on this one," Wave agreed with the Bray. "I'm more worried if anything."

Alisha then appeared. "I wonder though…is our Light alone enough? Can this city continue to thrive?"

Silence fell upon them as they continued staring at the city for a long time. None of them know what the answer is. They…don't know what to do. Rasputin was defeated easily, and he is a Warmind for crying out loud! A powerful and complex military A.I even the Vex themselves, the same robots that can bend reality to their will, have trouble trying to simulate them in one of their simulations. They watched as people bustle about in the city below. All was peaceful and all was happy as they enjoyed their life in the city. Can they protect this last city?

"Hold on," Caleb spoke. "Will Cayde, Sloane, Asher and the Guardians that died would want us to feel discourage?" Ana, Wave, Isla and Alisha looked at him. "When we LOST our Light to the Red Legion, do we give up trying to retake the Last City? Will Zavala, Shaxx, Saladin, Saint, Ikora and the rest will want us to back down from dangers? We can't just give up. Even when Zavala lost his Light and seemingly lost his faith thinking if he is even a Guardian anymore? He's still willing to take back the city and never gave up hope!"

Ana, Wave, Isla and Alisha looked at each other. They wanted to reply but…found that they are unable to. They really want to believe Caleb, they really do…but…

"Guys," Caleb said getting their attention. "We'll face it together. The Darkness are gonna arrive, but we'll be ready."

The four nodded at him as they smiled at the Titan, his unwillingness to give up. They looked back at the city. Maybe Caleb was right. Maybe they shouldn't give up that easily. Sloane and Asher didn't give up their lives just so they can just give up…The Guardians wrapped their hands around each other, holding one another for comfort while Alisha just landed on Isla's shoulder. They'll get through this together, like they always do.

AN: Ok guys that's it for the story I hope you guys enjoyed it. Finally, it's done. So how do you guys like it when Ana ACTUALLY said something regarding about Cayde and was actually very good friends with him. I mean come on, Bungo doesn't even bother to add at least a response towards Cayde's death so I went and made one…in a YouTube comment actually LOL. It just frustrates me that the Bray didn't even said anything, being that she's also a famous Gunslinger you know. So much potential in there. I mean heck Saint-14 even responded to Cayde's death even though it was little. It's great that I finally had it out of my chest. Please give me constructive feedbacks and constructive criticism, and don't be afraid to tell me which parts of the story I need to improve. This is Samuel Loegan saying, thanks for reading and I'll see you guys next time! ;D
