Sora's Adventures of
Sailor Moon SuperS
Ami's First Love
This is a story of an extremely bizarre experience Sora, his friends, and the Sailor Guardians went through, as Usagi and her friends prepared for the High School entrance examinations. The sun shone through the window of Ami Mizuno's bedroom, washing it in a brilliant color of light to greet the start of a new day. Ami took a look at her alarm clock, then sat up and stretched for the start of this new day. She heard the sound of white pigeons cooing, and turned to look at them, as she opened her window.
"Good morning," she said.
The birds soon took to the sky above Tokyo's Juban District, hometown of Ami's friends, Usagi Tsukino, Rei Hino, Makoto Kino, Minako Aino, Luna, and Artemis. But it was also the place that welcomed their friends from other worlds beyond her own. They were known as the Guardians of Kingdom Hearts, led by Sora Lucis Caelum, A Keyblade Master of Destiny Islands, son of King Regis from Eos in the city of Insomnia, and Serena, his trusted Queen who fled into exile when Sora was just a baby. However, he carried a darker part of himself that many were aware of: Vanitas, a boy who once resided in Ventus' Heart, but was given flesh and life of his own by Master Xehanort, a Keyblade Master who fell into darkness, and sought to become a god by attaining the limitless power of Kingdom Hearts, using a powerful weapon called the X-blade, which could grant whoever unlocked the heart of all worlds limitless power, and even rival the gods that created it and the Realm of Light. His friends were also Keyblade Wielders save for two. They were Kairi, a Princess of Heart from Radiant Garden. Riku, A Warrior of the Dawn. Aqua, Keyblade Master of the Land of Departure. Terra, a Keyblade Wielder who named Riku his successor. Ventus, A boy from Daybreak Town who lost all memory of that land. Roxas, Sora's Nobody from Twilight Town, who later became his brother. Xion, A replica crafted from Sora's Memories, who became his sister. Axel, a young man who also came from Radiant Garden, but later called Twilight Town his new home. Namine, Kairi's Nobody who had the power to see and alter memories, but later became her sister. Mickey, the King of Disney Town. Donald Duck, the Court Magician. Goofy, Captain of the guard of Disney Town, and father of Max Goof. They met the Sailor Guardians during the first adventure, to battle Queen Metallia, who corrupted the sage Beryl with Darkness, and unleashed untold devastation on the Moon Kingdom that endured for thousands of years, only to fall into oblivion, resulting in those who perished to be reborn as people, and reclaim their lost memories of the past, thanks to Luna and Artemis' teachings and guidance. They had fought numerous other foes, like the Black Moon Clan, The Xenian Flower who possessed Fiore, the Death Busters, Princess Snow Kaguya, and the Dead Moon Circus. Ami was born on the 10th of September, her zodiac sign was Virgo, and her Blood Type A. two of her most favorite hobbies were reading and playing chess. Her morning routine was to arrive 40 minutes early at school so that she could read a book of her own choosing, and her favorite food was sandwiches, which of course allowed her time to read while she ate them. Her favorite color was blue, a clear sign of her second life as Sailor Mercury She also liked swimming, a sport that she shared in common with Michiru Kaioh, another friend of hers, but also became the Sea Guardian, Sailor Neptune. Last of all, Ami always enjoyed math, due to her calculating how she and her friends would always allow her to help her overcome any odds that would seem unfavorable to both herself and her friends. The one thing that she had difficulty with was love, Ami was sitting in her bathtub reading different books for sometime, but decided it was time to get dressed and head of to school after a hearty breakfast. As she left her apartment, she began her trek to Juban Middle School, the school that she, Usagi, and Makoto currently attended, as they would soon graduate and become true High School Students. As she walked through the entrance, and opened her locker to change shoes, she suddenly noticed a letter that was addressed to her, making her heart race, and soon cried out in shock.
"I feel so itchy!" she said, fearfully.
"So wait, are you saying you hate love letters Ami? Ugh, that would make things easier," scoffed Makoto.
"Yeah, seriously," added Usagi.
"I can't say I hate them when I've received so many, but everytime I see one I get a terrible skin rash," replied Ami.
"Sounds like an allergic reaction," said Rei.
"That's not good at all, Ami. You know how the old saying goes: Love is too short, so go buy some heels, girls!" piped in Minako, making Artemis gag.
"Uh, Minako…" Sora said, as Usagi's school bag fell out of her hands.
"Oh, uh, did I get it wrong?" she asked.
"Obviously," replied Riku.
"Yeah, it's actually, 'Life is too short, so fall in love girls,'" added Artemis.
"I mean, that too, I guess," said Minako, her second finger twitching.
Ami couldn't help but giggle a little, making everyone look at her in confusion.
"Thanks Minako, but it's okay. This is the most important time of our lives as Middle School students, so we should all be focusing on one thing. Can you guess what?" she said.
"You're talking about studying, aren't you?" her friends replied.
"Precisely, as of now, the word romance doesn't exist in my vocabulary," declared Ami as she put on her glasses.
"Okay?" murmured Chibiusa.
"You gotta be kidding me," said Sora.
"Uh, Ami, you okay?" Makoto asked, feeling worried about her.
"Here, take a look at this," said Ami, showing them one of her books.
"What is it?" Sora and Usagi asked.
"Flip to page 42," replied Ami.
"What's on page 42?" asked Makoto, flipping through the pages.
"The National Mock Exam results," answered Ami.
"First place goes to Mercury, with a total of five hundred points!?" gasped Makoto.
"Wait, isn't that a perfect score on all five subject!?" added Minako, who was also surprised.
"This Mercury person is you, isn't it?" squeaked Chibiusa.
"Correct, the rules of this test state that you're able to take it under any alias you like. The problem is, this person!" she said, making everyone look closer.
"What's so wrong about someone who took this exam?" asked Aqua.
"Someone else got a perfect score too!" answered Rei who was shocked to see Mercurius above Mercury.
Mercurius?" asked Minako.
"Who is this Mercurius?" Terra asked as well.
"I'm pretty sure it's latin for Mercury," said Artemis.
"Yes, he's been getting the same perfect score on every mock exam as of late. It's possible he could be issuing a challenge. Which means this person might be a new enemy!" explained Ami.
"Ami, I think you might be overthinking this," said Usagi.
The others nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, you're starting to let your own studies change you, the same way it changed Aqua when she was named Keyblade Master," added Sora.
"Usagi and Sora are actually right for once," said Luna.
Inside the exam room, Ami began to think that her friends were starting to think that she was overreact, and how it really bothered her. She then started thinking about who this Mercurius was. Sometime later, in the corridors of her school, Ami was reading whilst being careful of where she stepped, only to stop when she noticed something on the bulletin board.
"Huh, the National Mock Exams?" she wondered.
Then it hit her. If she could enroll at other prep schools and take more mock exams, she could meet Mercurius in person. She had never felt this kind of excitement in her life before, knowing that having a rival would be rather incredible.
"All right! get ready! It's time for me to go all out!" she cried out.
Everyone turned to look at her, making her embarrassed. The following day, at Hikawa Shrine, Ami was now studying harder than ever before, but she was now stressing out making her friends cringe with fear.
"Argh, we scored the same again! How is able to get a perfect score every single time!? There's no way he's an ordinary person!" raged Ami.
"So then, what does that say about you?" asked Rei.
"Yeah, why are you acting like this?" asked Kairi, feeling worried.
"But, it makes me wonder what kind of person he is then. I'd like to meet him at least once," Ami said, feeling calm, but had a slight blush across her face.
"Any idea what's up with Ami?" asked Sora.
"She's totally obsessed with him!" smirked Makoto.
"Hold on a sec. You know, you're acting like you're in love," said Minako.
"No way! All he is to me, is a good rival and nothing more!" snapped Ami.
"And what makes you think this person's a he, anyway?" Rei asked, feeling curious.
"Well, I guess you do have a point," replied Ami.
"But since we're on the subject, what is your dream guy like?" asked Minako, making Ami nervous.
"Come on, spill it!" added Makoto.
"Don't be bashful, now," cheered Goofy.
"Yeah, tell us," squeaked Chibiusa.
"Well, I guess if I had to pick, my dream guy would be…" began Ami.
"Go on!" everyone said.
"I'd definitely have to go with Einstein, the father of the theory of relativity," finished Ami, making everyone but Sora disappointed.
"Who's Einstein?" asked Usagi.
Sometime later, they all gathered in the restaurant that bore the name Crown.
"I've really never seen Ami act like that before," said Rei.
"Her eyes got all big and sparkly," grinned Makoto.
"She was totally out of control!" raved Usagi.
"Do you think it's possible that…?" Chibiusa asked.
"This could be Ami's first love!?" they all asked.
"All right, if that's the case, this looks like a job for MInako, the goddess of love! So if she needs some help, I can strip down the details," declared Minako.
Her friends however, disagreed with her idea.
"Well, anyway, we have to find out the Identity of this Mercurius person!" Minako said, puffing out her chest.
"But how are we gonna do that?" asked Chibiusa, making everyone look at her.
"I don't know kid, but I say brainstorming some ideas to find out who this Mercurius guy is seems more important," smirked Axel.
"Uh, Axel, I don't think Chibiusa doesn't like being called 'Kid,'" warned Riku.
"Thanks for speaking up for me, Big Brother Riku," smiled Chibiusa.
The others were relieved that the tension had subsided, as they all began brainstorming.
"It's hopeless," sighed Artemis.
"Pretty much," replied Chibiusa.
By the time school was ending, Usagi was beginning to have a few ideas of how to come up with the perfect plan to bring Mercurius and Ami together, when Naru and Umino approached her.
"Oh, hey," she greeted her friends.
"Umino agreed to help us study for the next midterm exams," said Naru.
"Yep, sure did," added Umino.
"Umino, huh?" mused Usagi, as she stared intently at him.
"Uh, can I help you?" the nerd asked nervously.
Usagi's stare became more intense.
"Is there something on my face?" he asked again.
"Hey! Umino, since Ami's out of commission, you're the only one I can turn to now!" she said, grabbing at his shirt.
Umino was now scared of her.
"Do you know anyone who takes exams under the name Mercurius!?" she snapped furiously.
"Yeah, Mercurius is actually a good buddy of mine," replied Umino, as he adjusted his glasses.
"Really!?" squealed Usagi.
Umino nodded, until Usagi accidentally dropped him to the ground, making Naru panic, as she checked to see if he was hurt.
"What luck!" Usagi said with triumph in her eyes.
"I have a bad feeling about this," muttered Sora.
Outside of a prep school, Ami stormed inside and began studying more than ever, despite the exhaustion settling in on her features, hoping that she would get even with Mercurius. Suddenly she awoke to see that everyone had left, unaware that a dark creature had been watching her. Quickly racing out, she didn't catch sight of someone who was on a payphone writing down the name Mercurius on a calling card.
"Yes, I sense it. There is a large amount of unspoken lascivious energy coming from inside this old sacred school of learning. It's clearly that of a young girl in love. She has strong intimate desires for a boy, more than I've seen in all the years I've dwelled within this school. I, Bonnon, shall feed on her desires!" laughed the woman, watching Ami struggle to return home.
She then vanished, and began to seat herself on Ami, latching onto her like a deadly parasite.
"Ow, my head! Am I catching a cold?" Ami asked wearily, as she stumbled away.
"This is the place, Mercurius' prep school," said Umino, who guided Ami's friends to where she went.
"He studies in this dump?" asked Usagi.
"The building may be in shambles, but it does have it's history," replied Umino.
"I don't know. I feel like this Mercurius is making Ami's life exasperating," said Donald.
"Ah, don't worry Donald. I'm sure we'll find this Mercurius fella in this prepschool," assured Mickey.
"In that case, I'd recommend caution," suggested Roxas.
"Yo, Mercurius!" Umino greeted the other boy.
"'Sup, Professor Four Eyes," replied Mercurius.
"'Professor Four Eyes?'" asked Xion.
"Oh, Professor Four Eyes is my alias, don't you think?" replied Umino.
"I'll admit, it does sound pretty silly, but it fits you like a glove Umino," said Sora.
"I suppose it does, Umino," Namine agreed softly.
"Hey, what's the matter?" the nerd asked the others.
The next day, Ami wasn't feeling well, as she lay in bed.
"Uhh, I feel so dizzy, I can't even move. Mercurius are you the one that did this?" she asked.
"She's reached the point of talking about him in her sleep. It looks like it's time for the finishing touch!" Bonnon said wickedly.
She began producing several love letters in her hands.
"The beginning of all desires! Love Letter Attack! No one can ignore the smell of a young mind falling in love for the very first time!" Bonnon cried out with evil triumph, as she placed the letters around Ami.
"I can't move!" gasped Ami, until one letter landed on her face.
"This thing on my face feels like a l-l-l-LOVE LETTER!" shrilled Ami.
"And that's not all I've prepared," sneered Bonnon.
"All the math formulas and english vocabularies I've worked so hard and memorized are escaping my mind!" cried Ami.
All three memory bubbles began popping like balloons as Ami tried to call them back to her, just as Chibiusa led Mamoru, Usagi, Riku, and Sora to her apartment.
"This is the place," said their future daughter.
"Okay," replied Mamoru.
But he turned back to see Usagi looking mildly irritated.
"Something wrong?" asked the two guys.
"To tell, or not to tell her about Mercurius? That is the question," muttered Usagi.
"So they make Shakespeare for dummies now?" asked Chibiusua, who glared at her future mother.
"STOP IT!" Ami's voice screamed loudly.
"That's Ami!" cried Sora and Usagi.
"I'll make sure that you're left with nothing but your intimate desires, and once that's done, I can feast upon that energy!" snickered Bonnon.
Ami had managed to pull the love letter off her face, as she collapsed onto her bed.
"And just who exactly are you!?" she demanded.
But she was still dizzy.
"Oh no, my head feels fuzzy and I can't see clearly," She said wearily, before falling down.
"Are you okay!?" Sora and Usagi asked as they burst through the door.
But Usagi caught hold of the threshold so as not to fall, but Sora transformed into his Equestrian Drive Form, and began floating in the strange void.
"Who are you!?" demanded Bonnon.
"We were gonna ask you the same thing!" snapped Chibiusa.
"Haven't you heard of me? I'm known as the great-" Bonnon tried to say.
"You! You're Mercurius, aren't you!?" demanded Ami.
"No! As I was saying, I am the-" Bonnon tried to say.
"You're dirty trick! So the reason I've been feeling so light headed and falling asleep in prep school is because of you, Isn't it!?" Ami snapped angrily.
"Hey, aren't you listening?" asked Bonnon.
"YOU WON'T WIN!" Ami shouted furiously.
"I may not care about who you are, but you're gonna pay for making Ami become a studyholic!" yelled Sora, his Keyblade held at the ready.
Riku did the same, summoning his Keyblade and assuming his Equestrian form, as he turned to Ami.
"It's time for Sailor Mercury to step up and pay you back!" he said to Ami.
"And it shall be a pleasure!" agreed Ami.
She pulled out her transformation wand.
"MERCURY CRYSTAL POWER MAKE UP!" she called.
She began to recite a rather complex math problem as she was engulfed in watery blue, and soon emerged in her Sailor Guardian outfit, becoming Sailor Mercury, making Bonnon cry out in fury.
"Undermining others' hard work just so you can get the best grade, that's unforgivable! I'm the Pretty Guardian, who fights for love and Intelligence! I am Sailor Mercury! Douse yourself in water and repent!" Sailor Mercury said to Bonnon.
"That's seriously not Mercurius though," Usagi said, still clinging to the threshold.
Sailor Mercury knew all along that despite being her foe this strange being tried to use her emotions to distract her, making everyone look in confusion, while Usagi asked for some help.
"But I told you, I'm not-" Bonnon tried to explain.
"Don't you dare explain it to us! You're done for!" snapped Sora.
"We're about to give you a lesson, on Mercury's formula for victory!" added Sailor Mercury, making Bonnon panic.
"Mercury Aqua Mirage!" she cried.
Bonnon tried to dodge but it was too late, she was now engulfed in water.
"She's out of her mind!" cried Bonnon.
"And now, Eternal Session!" Sora and Riku cried out.
The two of them surged towards her and began hacking and slashing at her with their keyblades.
"Is that all you got?" asked Riku.
They then rapidly stabbed her with them multiple times, and blasted her with Dark Firaga bursting from their hands at an alarming rate.
"I'll take 'em!" Riku said.
Then they began striking at her by hitting her with magical blades that looked to be held by them, until they summoned thirteen more of them.
"Give me strength!" cried Sora.
"You're gonna lose it all!" Riku shouted at the same time.
They released their Keyblades by sending them up, and causing several projectiles of light and darkness to collide against her several times, until a massive explosion erupted, making them know that Bonnon was no more.
"Riku!" called Sora.
"Time's up!" Replied Riku, as they gave each other a fist bump, just as Usagi collapsed to the ground.
But they all looked to see Sailor Mercury on her bed, still having her hands held in front of her.
"That felt so great," she said, until she collapsed onto her bed.
Chibiusa and Mamoru rushed to her side, just as Usagi rose up.
"It's just too bad I didn't get a chance to see him before I got a chance to destroy him," she said with disappointment in her eyes.
"Oy vey!" Sora, Riku, Usagi, Chibiusa, and Mamoru said.
"So she treats rivals as enemies?" Rei asked as they were now back in the restaurant.
"Well, I guess I'd better not get good grades then," said Minako.
"I doubt that'll be very hard for you, Mina," muttered Artemis.
"What was that!?" she snapped grabbing Artemis by the scruff of his neck, earning a meow from him.
"Back to the point, let's make sure not to talk about Mercurius in front of her," said Usagi.
"Yeah, that sounds like it's for the best," agreed Makoto.
"Does that mean you saw him?" asked Ami, making the two girls climb over the table and away from her.
"Ami?" Sora and Chibiusa asked.
"So what did he look like?" inquired Ami.
"Uh, like this," replied Minako holding a magazine.
"That's right, Mercurius looked exactly like Houmodou from Gekkikids," added Usagi.
"I knew it! That means he looked exactly like Einstein in his early years. He was truly a worthy rival to the very end," said Ami.
"I knew she had to be a sucker for good looks," muttered Minako.
"Wonder how she actually reacted if he looks just like Umino," mused Usagi.
"That's crazy, there's no way that guy would even look like that nerd," said Ventus.
"Speaking of which, why did he choose to call himself Mercurius in the first place?" asked Makoto.
"I'm glad you asked. His real name is Suuri Kurume. He just read those syllables backwards," explained Usagi.
"YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!" shouted Ami, making everyone turn to face her.
"What's the matter?" asked Makoto.
"I thought I defeated Mercurius. So how!?" she demanded.
"About that Ami," Usagi said.
"Don't worry everyone, I'll just take care of this, just leave him to me!" declared Ami.
"Not again," muttered Sora.
"She's not serious, is she?" the others asked.
"All right!" Ami said, as she raced up the stairs.
The others watched as she went past them and stopped, her battle to become better than Mercurius far from over.
"I'll do my best! Just watch!" she said with a proud smile, as the birds flew into the sky above.
As she stood, the rest of her friends looked at her in confusion. But the next day, Sora walked quietly down the streets until he saw Ami.
"Hey, Ami, I'm really sorry you never got a chance to meet this Mercurius guy," he said.
But Ami gave him a friendly hug.
"Hey, don't worry about it, Sora. Although, you and Riku did kind of go overboard with your Eternal Session attack after I used Mercury Aqua Mirage, as Sailor Mercury," she assured him.
"Yeah, well, sometimes we do," chuckled Riku.
"Well from now on, you just do your best in studying, and don't stress yourself out about Mercurius achieving the same perfect scores you've attained, and accept him as your equal. I almost let my duty as Keyblade Master and Huntsman cloud my judgment once, And we don't want you to let your study time cloud your judgment either. So that's why you need to forget about that guy, and focus on something that's somewhat like love, but is very different: respect," said Sora.
"You're right, Sora. From this day onward, I'll move on and be respectful to any man, woman, or child I see. But, at the same time, Even though you care about me and everyone else, I always thought you were a good guy to be with. Not only are you kind, caring, brave, and special, you also have a heart made of gold. And if I do find someone I love, no matter my age, I'm certain that he might remind me of either you, Roxas, Terra, or Riku," said Ami.
"Aw, come on Ami, why do you have to flatter Sora like that!?" Minako said, glomping Sora from behind in her Sailor Venus costume.
"Somethings never change, do they?" sighed Usagi.
"Guess not, Usagi. But who knows, maybe one day Ami will find someone who acknowledges her intellect and cleverness, but sometimes goes by gut instinct," grinned Axel.
"Gut instinct, huh? Well say, Bring it on from anywhere!" smirked Ami.
"Ami, Ami, calm down already! There's no need to stress out about it!" Aqua said in a tone of voice that brooked no arguments.
Ami looked down at the ground.
"I'm sorry, guys. You're right, I have been letting the whole Mercurius thing get to my head," she admitted.
"There! That's it! That's the Ami Mizuno we remember! But just so you know, you can't change who you are, by studying twenty-four/seven, that'd just make you tire out more easily," said Sora.
Ami smiled respectfully at Sora.
'Okay, then from now on, I won't stress about Mercurius ever again, and let bygones be bygones," she declared calmly.
Then together she and her friends left, with Sora and his friends tagging along with them.
"...And that's how Ami realized, that no matter who gets a test score that's good or bad, you can't let your own feelings get in the way of who you respect as a friendly rival," Sora finished his story, to Haruka Tenoh, Michiru Kaioh, Hotaru Tomoe, and Setsuna Meioh who were at Hikawa Shrine.
Rei, Usagi, Luna, Jiminy Cricket, Minako, Ami, Chibiusa, Mamoru, Makoto, and the rest of their friends were also there as well.
"Wow, if a monster really did try to feast on my love for Michiru, I'm pretty sure I'd go berserk and unleash my Space Sword Blaster attack in a blind rage, and that's something Michiru would view as not okay in her book," mused Haruka.
"You said it Haruka," agreed Michiru.
"Who would have thought a creature who could feast on someone's personal desires would have ever existed," said Hotaru.
"Yes, Bonnon was a dangerous individual indeed, but did you and Riku really have to go overkill on her?" asked Setsuna.
"Yeah, we kinda did, but in the end she left us with no choice. But if Hotaru ever met her, she'd just reduce this whole world to nothing with the Glaive of Silence as Sailor Saturn," replied Sora
"Uhh, did you really have to bring that up again?" shuddered Hotaru.
"Yeah, sorry about that, Hotaru," Sora said apologetically.
"Well, I'll forgive you, because of how much you remind me of Chibiusa," she giggled, earning a friendly laugh from Sora.
"Yeah, I guess, Hotaru. But she still seems more like Riku," said Xion.
"And why wouldn't I, since he's my Big Brother, after all," smiled Chibiusa.
Everyone had to laugh at that, even Riku.
"Well in any case, I'd say it's time for another sparring match," smirked Haruka.
She soon transformed into Sailor Uranus again, and drew her space sword, just as Sora readied his Keyblade.
"Agh, don't tell me those two are gonna start sparring again," moaned Rei, who had just stepped out.
"Well, they are friends and rivals, so it only seems fair for them to spar," replied Michiru.
"Well, my money's on Sora!" declared Minako.
"Well if your beating it on Sora, I'm still betting on it for Haruka," smirked Michiru.
"All right, you two! Then in the name of the Moon, I say, 'let the match begin!'" cried Usagi.
"Well, here we go again," sighed Luna.
"You said it, Luna," agreed Artemis and Jiminy Cricket who stood next to her.
Then Sora and Sailor Uranus charged at each other once again, entered a blade lock, and the match was on.
