The War is Over

Miwa's foot tapped impatiently on the wooden floor. She jumped up, paced around, drank some tea, tried to sleep, but she just would not sit still. Soon, Tiger came in. "You're worried about Leo?"

"Yes. What if he's hurt or worse?" Miwa fretted. Tiger laid his hand on his daughter's cheek.

"It's alright. He'll be okay. He promised he would come back unharmed," Tiger reminded.

"I said I would come back alive," Leo grunted, coming into the room. The two tigers spun around. Leo stood hunched over holding his stomach as the rest of the gang came in.

"You're back!" Miwa squealed, jumping to the wolf's arms. Leo grunted in pain. "You're hurt! Are you okay?"

"I'm okay," Leo smiled, turning red in the cheeks.

"Well?" Tiger asked the others.

"We won. The war is over. Thanks to your sister here," Po said.

"You stopped Wong-Hu's plans?" Tiger asked.

"All by herself," Po smiled at Tigress. Tiger bowed before her.

"You are the Jin-Min Warrior who was promised to bring honor and glory to the Jin-Min," He stated. Po and Tigress just looked at each other with bemused smiles.

"And to think, we were your enemy," Tigress teased.

"What makes you think you still aren't." Po laughed as Tigress playfully pushed him.

"But I couldn't have done any of this without Leo's help," Tigress said.

"Thank you. I hope you'll forgive me for all the running around we did," The white wolf grinned nervously,

"I won't," Tigress smirked. As they all talked, Po felt a small hand touch his back.

"Tigra!" Po stood at attention.

"At ease, Po," Tigra said with a suppressed laugh. "I wanted to make sure you two were okay." She pulled Tigress and Po aside to the hallway. "I overheard you took down Wong-Hu. Is that true?"

"Yes. He is gone, mother."

"Good. Now, who defeated him?" Tigra asked. Tigress looked at Po.

The panda narrowed his eyes. "What?"

"You walked off after the avalanche, and Mei mentioned that you wanted to make sure that the war was over. So... what happened to Wong-Hu?" Tigress asked. Po stood silent. His shoulders sagged and he sighed.

"Yes," Po finally said, "I killed him." He told them everything that happened. "I'll be honest," He exhaled heavily, sitting down, "I didn't think I could do it. It's been so long."

"Y...You've done this before?" Tigress asked.

"He is still a samurai," Tigra pointed out. "But now... now I know why he changed so much when you entered the scene." Silence fell. "Did you-"

"I had to do it mercifully," Po sighed. His hands trembled as he stared at the floor. Tigress gently laid her hand on his, stilling his tremors. Po looked at her smile. He took another sigh. "But yeah... it's done."

"Thank you, Po. I know it wasn't easy. It's never easy. But thank you," Tigra said with a small smile.

Po chuckled a bit, "You know, I thought you would have been mad with the way I did it."

"I'm not a warmonger, Po. People just do things to tick me off," Tigra remarked, placing her hand on her hip. "Besides, you should already know how to deal with my anger."

"I can barely deal with Tigress's. What makes you think I'm able to deal with yours?" Po argued.

"And yet you're dating each other," Tigra smirked. Po blushed. The older feline just smiled and hugged the panda. "But thank you, Po."

"So," Tigress spoke up with a straight lip and narrowed eyes, "You can barely deal with my anger?"

"I... uhh... What I mean to say is," Po stuttered uselessly. Just then a messenger deer arrived.

"The Furious Five and Master Shifu are here, your majesty. Plus, your servant is here, Emperor Lee," He said. Mei, Lee, and Po all groaned.

"Oh no, Windbag," They muttered. Soon, Lee and Mei came out of the palace to see the others. On cue, Windbag came to their side to announce them.

"Everyone, the Emperor and his boo," And that's all he said. Everyone looked at the old duck with wide eyes.

"Did Windbag just call me boo?" Mei asked.

"Did Windbag just announce us under three seconds?" Lee asked. They shook their shock off as they greeted the rest of the Furious Five and Shifu.

"So, Master Tigress, have you grown in your adventures here?" Shifu asked.

"Yes, Master Shifu," Tigress bowed.

Shifu smiled, "I heard about your success doing battle. I'm very proud of you." Tigress's eyes widened. She smiled as she bowed again.

"Thank you, Master Shifu."

"It's a good thing you took out Wong-Hu when you did," Monkey said.

"Why?" Po asked.

"Because the messenger you sent to the north of China lost the message," Monkey explained, "So there was no chance that the Northern fleet was coming." Then General Lu-Yin came out, saluting Po.

"Our soldiers have recovered the remains of Wong-Hu's body and all of his men. You can sleep soundly knowing he's done with," The one-eye tiger reported. Po, Tigress, and Tigra didn't tell anyone how Wong-Hu died until much later.

"Thank you, general. I can't thank you enough for you and your men's help," Po replied.

"We live to serve you, Master Zaber," Lu-Yin bowed and walked away.

The gang went into the palace and met Tigress's family and Leo. After they had dinner, Leo noticed that Miwa was alone standing at the pond, watching the moon. "Are you okay?" Leo asked.

"Oh! Leo! Don't scare me like that," She said.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to," He apologized and stood next to her. They were silent for a moment. "You look beautiful in that pink dress."

"Thank you," She smiled bashfully. They were silent once more. "Leo, are you still afraid of tigers?" Miwa asked.

"Not really. Of course, your grandmother is a whole different story," Leo replied. Miwa chuckled. They were quiet again.

"Do you...like me?" She asked, now looking straight at him. Leo looked everywhere but at her.

"Umm of course," He stuttered, "III I like you."

She smiled with a glint of mischief in her eye and moved closer. "Are you still scared of me?"

"Nnnnoo," Leo said nervously. Miwa herself was getting goosebumps as she dared to get closer.

"Do I... make you nervous?" She whispered breathily. Their eyes locked. Leo gulped. The tiger gasped when the wolf quickly wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Only because I love you." He kissed her, and Miwa soon kissed back as she let her arms wrap around Leo's neck; they were roughly the same height. Their eyes shut. Miwa graced her tongue against Leo's lips. Leo opened up and their tongues were at war. She noticed that his tongue was rough like hers. Must be another trait of being half tiger. They parted, still in each other's hands, and smiled at each other.

"I love you too," Miwa whispered. Then her smile disappeared, "But don't ever try to kill yourself like that...AGAIN," She demanded. Leo sheepishly smiled.

"So what's the plan now?" Mei asked. The new day had dawned and the breakfast was already eaten. Lee spoke up.

"Well, our brother is coming with us to Japan to see how things have changed," Lee subtly insisted.

"Master Shifu, is it okay that I bring Tigress along with me? I know she's been wanting to go there for a long time," Po asked.

"Sure, if Tigress agrees," Shifu gestured to her. She nodded gladly. "Well, we'll see you soon, Po. Take care of yourself and Tigress." He said with a wink as Shifu and the Furious Five went out the door. Po grabbed Tigress's hand.

"Don't worry, I will," Po smiled. Tigress smirked as she pulled him into another kiss.

Po, Tigress, Lee, and Mei went back to Japan where Po found a lot had changed. But Po loved to come back with Tigress, and Tigress absolutely loved Japan. Leo stayed with Miwa and later married her. The same happened to Tigress and Po after about three years. Tigra and Qiang moved in with Tigress, much to Po's nervous displeasure, and Tigress and Po regularly visit Miwa, Leo, and Tiger. Tigress sometimes laughs at the whole thing because none of this would have happened were it not for Po, the legendary Zaber.

The End

Hello everyone, I hope you were able to enjoy the story. I have to be honest, I did not know the turn that this would take when I was writing it, but I hope that I did the story enough justice. I will say, I know that it is somewhat rushed, but that's kinda because of two things. One, it's a redone. It's not really supposed to be different from the first other than adding or subtracting from the plot. Two, I'm lazy. All creators are lazy. Yes, we do a lot of work, but we take as many shortcuts as possible. XD But the main point about this little comment is that I want to try and bring attention to some people about a struggle I'm having:

I have no idea what's good or bad about my writing. When authors want reviews, they're not really just asking for good comments or flames. No, they're asking for, "This is awesome, I really like how you yadda yadda." Or "I didn't really like this part. I think you could have yadda yadda yadda." Just saying something is good is great and fine. We authors typically ignore the hateful ones. But what we're really looking for from you guys is, "Does the craft look great?"

So yes, we love and deeply need your reviews and comments. But I ask that when you do comment, tell us what you specifically liked or disliked about it. Thank you and I greatly appreciate everyone of you.
