Hi! New chapter!

Enjoy reading!

PS:I want to warn you that only this chapter will be written in this way. It was a way for me not to dwell too much on her early childhood without neglecting her all the same.

Chapter 1:

Aya, she really had to get used to the name, couldn't remember everything about the story her sister had told her and what she remembered didn't bode well for her goal of living beyond her eighteen years.

Her situation as the main character's sister didn't help either.

At least Rido Kuran hadn't yet visited them to kill his twin brother and replace him with his ancestor.

At this thought, Aya lying in her cradle turned her head towards her sleeping brother.

She had to start moving away from him so as not to be in pain at the time of the incident, but how to deal with such a cute and endearing little face?

She sighed and turned her head to the window to catch a glimpse of the sunset. Soon her parents would come and wake them up to feed them with vital energy and milk.

Aya was still having a little trouble getting used to living mainly at night. He missed the warmth of the sun.

Aya was struggling to sit up even though she suspected it wouldn't be possible for a baby at all, but she couldn't bear to be lying down all the time.

However, for all her good will, it seemed that her body was still too weak to pull off such a feat and she had to resign herself for the moment.

She was having fun with the hand of her mother, Juri Kuran, when Haruka, her father, arrived with the person she dreaded so much.

Rido Kuran.

He approached her with a big smile to take her in his arms. His mother seemed to hesitate and looked at her husband before giving me to his big brother.

"Hello, I'm your Oji-chan!"

He stroked her cheek tenderly with a finger.

Aya couldn't stand being in his arms so instead of crying like any other baby feeling in danger, she took advantage of the fact that her finger was on her cheek near her mouth to bite him.

Aya certainly had a suicidal inclination to do so.

Rido immediately withdrew under his finger, surprised. She hadn't been able to hurt him. His teeth weren't sharp enough yet.

Juri who was next to him, just in case, seemed surprised at his reaction. Aya had never reacted like this not even with the servants.

Probably not wanting something to happen to her, she hugged her again.

Rido ends up smiling. But it wasn't a normal smile, it was a calculating smile with a sparkle of madness in his eyes.

This is enough to scare Aya who snuggles even more in her mother's arms.

She silently cursed herself for drawing his attention to her. She had just further diminished her chances of survival in this world.

Fortunately for her but unfortunately for her brother, her father returned to the room with Kaname.

Rido approached him to take him in his arms and had fun giving him taste buds.

If Aya didn't know better, she too would have believed that Rido was sincere in his loving acts.

Suddenly, Kaname vomits on him.

"Oh! I'm so sorry Onii-chan," said Juri. "I'm gonna go change it and get you a new shirt."

"No, it does not matter. I'm going to do it on my own don't worry."

Juri glanced at her husband before nodding.

Aya started to panic.

So that was how he was going to leave with his brother for his ancestor's tomb!

She watched him go helplessly. Aya knew there was nothing she could do to save her little brother unfortunately she was still too weak.

Soon Rido's figure disappeared from her vision and she unwittingly let out a tear.

Fortunately, no one noticed it in the room and Aya quickly wiped it off.

Some blood.

After a few minutes, they had all smelled blood.

Even without her senses being fully sharpened, Aya knew her brother was now dead.

Haruka and Juri looked at each other before her father rushed over to the scent.

Aya knew Juri wanted to go but being in his arms she could only stay here.

Juri really wanted to protect his daughter as long as possible from all this bloody thing and Aya thanked her greatly for that. She wasn't ready for it.

Juri had been devastated.

Haruka was sad too.

And Aya found herself all alone in her cradle with her ancestor watching her calmly.

Her burgundy eyes no longer had a spark of mischief. They were just burgundy.

At this reflection, Aya cried.

She didn't care that her ancestor saw her. She was supposedly just a baby so she could still show her weaknesses.

The weeks and months had passed, Juri and Haruka were acting with the new Kaname as if he was their own son.

Everything was back to normal. Everything except Aya who was still quite distant with her new brother.

Juri and Haruka had noticed this but hoped that would change over time.

They had been right. Little by little, Aya came back to him, telling herself that it was better to be on his good side for later.

She was currently sitting in her crib with Kaname who was having fun playing with her hair under the benevolent gaze of her parents.

Aya thought it was a good time to say her first word. It had to be meaningful.

So with a little difficulty, she opened her mouth but no sound came out.

It was harder than she thought.

She only succeeded after about twenty minutes.

"Ka… Kaname"

Haruka and Juri looked at each other for a few moments. Silent communication seemed to pass between the two before they smile at Aya and congratulate her.

Kaname when he heard her first name, stopped touching her hair and stared at her intently.

Aya had been unwillingly lost in those eyes that were identical to hers. She knew she had to be careful with her every move with him, but Aya couldn't help but turn back to herself when he looked at her like that. It was as if he was hypnotizing her.

"Aya"

His name had come out of Kaname's mouth and she looked at him in astonishment before smiling and hugging him.

It might not be normal behavior for a baby but she didn't care.

They both grew up at a particular pace.

While their bodies remained small and somewhat fragile, their minds matured quite quickly and their behavior changed.

Although with her mental development and advanced maturity, she could notice that it was now much easier for her to do certain things.

Maybe because they were both adults locked in a child's body or maybe it was another perk of being a vampire, making his memory so ingenious.

Even after months, Aya could still vividly remember Rido's mismatched eyes, the madness in his gaze and his calculating smile as she looked at her.

She could remember every little detail of every day that had passed since her birth.

Aya was slowly starting to realize that this world was really different.

Here despite her parents' peaceful outlook, Aya understood that blood was the only thing that really mattered.

His first steps were a few months later.

It wasn't premeditated and she had never tried but seeing that Kaname was going to hurt herself falling backwards, Aya didn't think twice.

She rushed over to him and grabbed his head before it hit the ground.

It was only then, under her brother's gaze that she realized she had to cross part of the room to save him.

Her parents, who had been away for a few minutes, came in and looked at her in shock.

Not once after they were left alone. Either their relative was there or a servant.

"You are a Pureblood Aya-chan and as such you have the daunting task of being in any blameless situation in the face of society."

They learned about the vampire hierarchy as soon as possible.

From level A to level E and all the characteristics that were unique to them.

However, their parents taught them not to despise those who were below them.

Read, write, dance, sing, play an instrument, Etiquette, speaking at least two languages, knowing the history of vampires.

These are all the things Aya must have started learning soon after she was two and a half years old.

She was required to do so in order to be prepared to survive when she entered society as a Pureblood and Crown Princess of the Kuran clan.

When they got old enough, they were given two bedrooms despite Kaname and Aya taking turns visiting each other in their beds every night.

Despite all her good resolutions, Aya had warmed up to Kaname's contact and was starting to really love him. In addition, she reassured herself by telling herself that he was still just a child who did not yet remember his past.

"Only the blood of his love can quench a vampire's thirst. If the love of his life ever dies, then any chance of peace for the vampire is destroyed. "

Hearing this, Aya made a promise to herself not to fall in love.

Aya was twenty-two years old and looked like a four-year-old.

Come to think of it, she didn't know how to react. Complain or be lucky because it may allow her to survive longer.

Sometimes she would tell herself that being reborn as Kaname Kuran's twin sister wasn't so bad despite what the future held. Other times, she would curse herself.

Aya was not yet sure if her position would be of real benefit to her later and how she could save her skin.

Fortunately for her, she had time.

The time of an immortal.

She woke up one morning with quite a pain in her throat. She tried to push it back but it didn't go away day after day.

Juri was busy giving him his dose of energy for the day but it wasn't enough for him anymore.

By delaying the inevitable, her throat was burning her now.

Eyes shining bright red, she bit her mother's finger.

Pure blood had never tasted something so divine.

Kaname began to crave blood a few days after her, and Aya accidentally became her first victim.

A simple hug was the cause.

He had hugged her as he did at times, but this time around, with her mouth close to her throat, Kaname couldn't help but bite her.

At five years old, Kaname and Aya met other children.

Aidou Hanabusa, Takuma Ichijo, Kain Akastuki and Ruka Souen.

Aya had had great difficulty socializing with them. Mainly due to their significant difference in maturity.

Kaname had noticed her and decided to stay with her.

She didn't say anything but was touched by his action.

Gradually Aya noticed that Kaname did almost everything in relation to her.

She didn't know how to thank him so one evening on a whim, she woke Kaname up.

He looked at her, tired and puzzled.

"What's wrong Onee-chan?"

Aya smiled a little uncertainly at him and sat down across from him looking him straight in the eye.

"I'm hungry Otouto."

Understanding passed in his eyes followed by a slight hesitation.

"Do you want me to call a servant?"

She shook her head.

Kaname looked at her for a few seconds before approaching her.

"Thank you," she whispered to him.

Then Aya lowered her head and gently dug her canines into her brother's throat.

She immediately felt all his emotions.

Tenderness, love, and a certain need to please her. The happiness of being with her and a slight apprehension of the future.

Aya pulled back before taking too much.

Kaname stroked her cheek and moved her face forward to lick the remaining blood on the corner of her lip.

He stepped back in turn.

However instead of going back to bed, Aya stepped forward to him and whispered:

"Now to you."

Kaname smiled at him and quickly obeyed.

He felt all her fear of abandonment, her fear of dying and her fear of the future.

So when he retired, Kaname made him a promise that upset her enough that she secretly promised herself to trust him more and more despite all of her past decisions.

"Don't worry Onee-chan, I will always protect you and never give up on you."

It wasn't the last time she gave him his blood and he gave his own.

Through this exchange, a trust was built between them even as she gradually realized that he was starting to recover memories of his past life from seeing his eyes tinge with a certain melancholy.

Aya was twenty-four years old and celebrating her sixth birthday. In a few months Kaname and her, will make their official entry into society.

"Never let others guess your true intentions and feelings."

Dressed in a red robe, Aya walked regally on her brother's arm as he walked through the vampire-filled room.

All bowed down to their feet, complimenting them.

Aya finally understood why her mother insisted on not becoming pretentious about her rank.

Difficult with all his attentions.

Kaname and she stopped and faced each other in the middle of the room.

Discreetly encouraging her with a smile, he posed behind her back.

Aya handed it back to him before placing a hand on his shoulder as their other hand intertwined.

They had danced impeccably, chatted with a few people, always keeping an expression empty of any feeling, and played with some children a bit.

It was not much, but by the end of the evening, Aya was tired and decided to avoid these parties as much as possible.

Aya and Kaname continued to grow, getting closer and closer and made the acquaintance of Kaien Cross.

The first time she saw him, Aya didn't recognize him.

He seemed to be so much the opposite of the description of his old little sister. Maybe this change had been due to Yuki's presence.

But what she took away from this visit was that the start of the launch of Juri's dream was underway and that she would soon be pregnant with Yuki.

Aya knew that when she was born, she would have to distance herself from Kaname so that he was interested in her.

Kaname and Aya were seven and Yuki Kuran was born.

Everything changed from that day on. Aya's attention focused on her little sister, whom she vowed to protect, almost completely leaving Kaname behind.

At first, he didn't take it badly, believing it would be just passing, but the more time passed the more she moved away from him, going so far as to stop donating his blood.

Haruka and Juri had also noticed her and tried to pull her back to him but Aya was determined to keep going until this night.

She rolled over in her bed, trying to sleep despite Kaname's absence she was not yet used to when she heard her door open.

She turned on her bedside lamp and sat up in her bed to find Kaname walking determinedly towards her.

She looked at him in shock, not expecting it at all.

He got on his bed and walked over to take her in his arms.

Aya did not understand this action at all and remained with her arms dangling for a few moments before closing them.

She could lie to everyone about her new relationship with Kaname but not to her heart.

She had missed him.

That's why she silently cried.

Kaname pulled away from her a few minutes later and took her face in his hands after drying her tears.

He looked her straight in the eye very seriously before declaring:

"I miss Onee-chan and she misses me. So, stop hurting us!"

Aya looked at him sadly.

She didn't know what to do. His conscience told him to refuse for the sake of the future but his heart whispered another answer.

Finally, she decided to go back to being with him and help him fall in love with Yuki.

So no one would get hurt.

Aya has never been so wrong.

Years passed and Kaname and Aya grew even closer while also being with their little sister.

Whenever an opportunity presented itself, Aya would push Kaname into Yuki's arms.

This his mother had noticed but had preferred not to say anything considering that for the moment there was nothing to fear.

Aya was twelve and Yuki was five.

Soon their happiness would collapse, Aya knew very well.

That's why instead of going out as often as Kaname outside, she preferred to be with her mother and her little sister.

Of course, she didn't make the mistake of rejecting Kaname anymore, but they didn't really meet again until after Yuki had gone to bed.

The fateful day arrived.

It had all happened so quickly, she hadn't even had time to realize that she had been orphaned with her twin brother and her little sister turned human.

It all really started.
