Hey there guys! I hope you all enjoyed the last chapter and I hope you like this one. As always read and review, as reading your reviews is always good motivation when I'm struggling to write. Also, Poseidon is definitely the type of dad to give his kid a ridiculous showy present and I stand by that decision. And you guys will probably realize what the offer part of the prophecy could be referring too in this chapter.

There were a few minutes of silence as Hermes jogged away until Luke let out a shaky breath and wiped at his eyes before he turned to face the two girls.

"Right. So what now?"

"Well..." Percy hesitated, moving to the edge of the water, "I prayed to my dad-I dunno if he's going to-" she paused, eyes narrowing as she stared out over the water to-

"Something's coming-three something's I think-"

"Lady Persephone!" the cries came from the approaching... things.

As they got closer they became easier to see and Percy tilted her head, looking at them curiously.

They were beautiful creatures, half horse and half fish with shimmering silvery scales and rainbow fins.

There were three of them and they came to a halt a short distance out.

Annabeth's mouth dropped open, "Hippocampi-they're the creatures that usually pull your fathers chariot. He must have sent them."

Percy was moving to them quickly, wading through the water, "Hi!"

"Lady Persephone." one of the Hippocampi lowered it's head so that she could rest her hand on its nose. "Your father sent us to take you to your vessel."

"He did?" Percy beamed widely, "Thank you. Thank you so much... and I'll thank my father too once we're there. I'll go and tell Luke and Annabeth what's happening."

"Of course Lady Persephone."

Then Percy was rushing back up the beach, a wide smile on her lips as she reached Annabeth and Luke, "They're here to take us to our vessel apparently."

"Vessel. That sounds good." Luke looked relieved as he grabbed one of the duffel bags, "I put the presents from my dad in my backpack." Annabeth and Percy each grabbed a duffel bag, and together they waded out to the Hippocampi who were waiting patiently.

It was easy enough to climb onto the three Hiccocampi's backs, and Percy glanced towards Luke and Annabeth as they got comfortable, and then she leaned over slightly, running her hand over the scales on the Hiccocampi's neck, "We're ready." and with that they were off.

Percy let out a bright laugh as they sped through the water-it was amazing how smooth the ride was whilst being so fast at the same time.

Percy closed her eyes, reveling in the feeling of the air rushing past.

She could have stayed like that for hours, but soon she felt them slowing and she opened her eyes once more, and in front of them was a boat-it was the type of thing she'd seen some of the kids at Richmont bragging about their parents owning.

On the side, in a bright blue that stood out on the white paintwork were the words 'Poseidon's Joy." and Percy felt her face flush as they reached the side of it-there was a ladder built into the boat, and she slipped off of the Hippocampi's back as she climbed up onto the boat, Luke and Annabeth following her lead.

Once they were up on the deck Percy leaned over the railings, "Thank you guys-"

"It was our honor lady Persephone." the Hippocampi chorused together, one of them piping up to add;

"Good luck on your quest!" and then they were turning and speeding away, and Percy ran her fingers through her hair as she turned to look at Luke and Annabeth.

"Well, we have a boat-"

"You have a boat." Luke looked amused, "Poseidon's Joy?"

Percy flushed, "Shut up." she paused, "So, uh, do any of us know how to drive a boat?"

"Well we have you." Annabeth pointed out.

"Reassuring." Percy flushed as she looked around, taking it all in properly. "Gods this really is-"

"It's a luxury small yacht. Your dad literally gave you a yacht." Annabeth said before Percy could speak as they all looked around.

And yeah, yeah that was a fair summary. Around the back of the boat was a rather comfortable looking seating area, plush blue benches around a low table-and she could see that there was a button activated extendable roof that would come out of the control cabin-and she could see that there was a hatch that would probably lead down into a cabin beneath the deck where they could sleep and probably make food too.

There was a piece of paper on the table and Percy moved quickly, picking it up and dropping down onto one of the chairs, eyes flicking over the words before she smiled to herself and folded the paper up. "A note from my dad."

"Does it have instructions?" Luke asked hopefully.

"Nope, but it does say that the boat is enchanted to take me wherever I want to go."

"Huh." Luke blinked, "That's actually very useful."

"It also says that it's an early birthday present and not just for the quest."

"Okay-so do we all agree that once this is over we need to all go out and spend a few days at sea?" Luke raised an eyebrow, "All of us I mean, mom,
Tyson and Nico too."

"Oh totally." Percy grinned, and she felt something shifting and she lifted her head, "I believe the boat's moving."

"Great." Annabeth laughed, "It looks like we'll be traveling in style this time."

"Shall we go look down below?"

"We can get the bags there safely." Luke nodded, and together they grabbed the duffel bags and once Percy had opened up the hatch they headed down a set of steep steps, Percy flicking the switch on the wall to turn on the lights-there were two rooms, they discovered quickly, a sleeping room with two large beds on either side that was towards the front of the boat, and a living and kitchen space-a small oven, a sink and some cabinets, and a table with six chairs set all around it.

"This'll do nicely." Luke nodded as he looked around.

"Talk about a birthday present." Percy laughed, shaking her head as she ran her fingers through her hair, closing her eyes and silently praying to her father.

Thank you. Thank you so much dad I... I love you. I'll make you proud I promise. We'll save Camp.

She could almost sense something-a warmth, it was probably her imagination but she liked to think it was her father acknowledging her.

Then she opened her eyes and took a deep breath, "So Luke, you're the leader of this Quest. What's the plan?"

"Well your fathers note said that this boat will take us wherever we need to go." Luke said slowly, "So I'd say we should let it do it's job. We need to get some rest while we can. I may have never been on a quest before but I've heard stories this isn't gonna be a peaceful trip."

"One person should be on watch." Annabeth piped up, "While the others rest-and what about food-"

"Well we have some basic stuff." Luke slung his backpack off his shoulder, "And I imagine dad's given me some food." he unzipped one of the duffel bags and nodded, "Yeah, there's clothes but there's food and stuff as well." he snorted, "Admittedly it's mostly snack food-"

"The type of stuff that lasts and doesn't need to be refrigerated-"

"There is a minifridge." Percy piped up as she shifted to explore the boat a bit more, "If there's anything that needs to be kept cold then we do have one-"

"That'll be cool for in the future." Luke admitted, "But it's mostly food like ration bars and chips and stuff."

"As long as we have enough to keep us going we'll be fine." Annabeth declared. "Do we know what entrance the boat will take us too."

"Entrance-oh." Percy blinked, thinking back to the stories, "Aren't there only two?"

"The Clashing rocks are one-Jason and the Argonauts used those with Hera's blessing, and then there's Scylla and Charybdis."

"Which one is our best bet?"

"Well according to the myths the Clashing rocks stopped after Jason and the Argonauts passed through so probably them, but we don't know which one the boat will take us to."

"Well either way it'll probably be a day or so at least before we arrive there."

"Wanna take some snacks up to the deck and try and relax before the inevitable chaos?"

"Of course." Percy glanced at Annabeth, who grinned.

"I'm in. Honestly I'm all for taking the chance to enjoy the peace while we can."

And so together the trio grabbed a few armfuls of snacks and they headed up onto the deck, curling up on the comfortable cushioned seats and chattering, playing a few games like eye spy to ward off any boredom.

As the hours passed and the sky darkened Percy found herself moving to the front of the boat, leaning on the railings and smiling down at the water as fish tried to race to keep up with them.

And it was Percy who decided to stay awake for the first watch as the sun finished going down and stars filled the sky.

She tilted her head slightly, enjoying the feeling of the wind on her face as they moved ever onward.

It was maybe three hours into her watch that Percy saw the island-it wasn't too far away, but what caught her eye wasn't the island itself, which was beautiful and looked rather deserted, but the fact that along the shoreline she could see a fire roaring.

She frowned to herself, her brows furrowing as she pushed herself away from the edge of the boat.

The fire wasn't natural, it was like a campfire.

She bit her lip before moving back around and down to the cabin beneath the deck, banging her fist on the wall, which woke up Luke and Annabeth-the former groaning tiredly while the latter yawned and rubbed her eyes.

"What is it Sephie?" that was Luke, "Everything okay?"

"We're going near an island. There's a fire there-man made but I can't see any boats."

"Think someone's stranded?" Annabeth's question was interrupted halfway through by a yawn and Percy shrugged.

"Not a clue, but I kind of feel like we should check it out.. but I dunno if we have enough time-"

"We'll have enough time just to make sure that whoever's there isn't in trouble." Luke decided, "It's my quest so it's up to me right?"

"That's how it works." Annabeth nodded, "So we see if we need to rescue some poor stranded person or if they have a way off the island."

"Okay Percy-uh... think hard about getting the boat to the Island I guess?" Luke said after a moment of hesitation, "I don't really know how it works-"

"Neither do I. Let's just hope that all I have to do is want to go there." Percy snorted, "Once this quest is over I will have to learn how to sail this boat properly."

"For now let's just do what we can." together the trio headed back onto the desk and Percy moved so that she was stood at the front of the boat as it did turn towards the island.

Soon enough it was slowing, and then it halted and Percy peered towards the island, "Think the boat'll stay here while we check it out?"

"It's your boat-I don't think Poseidon would let it just sail off without you." Annabeth pointed out, "So do we all go and check it out?"

"One of us should stay with the boat." Luke suggested. "I want to go-and Percy can get us to land without getting us too wet. Will you be okay waiting here for us Annabeth?"

"Of course." Annabeth nodded. "You two be careful okay."

"We will." Percy gave Annabeth a one armed hug, "We won't be long." and with that Percy was bringing up some water, shaping it with her powers and stepping off the edge of the boat and onto it, pulling Luke with her to stand on it-and they raced towards the shore, Luke clinging to Percy as they reached the shore, and she tugged him down off of the water onto the damp sand-and now that they were closer they could see that there were a couple of figures by the fire-girls clad in silvery parka's, and they had bows and arrows sling over their shoulders.

Both of the girls who were stood by the fire were looking in Percy and Luke's direction, and Percy swallowed hard, glancing at her brother. "Is it just
me or is something weird here?"

"Yeah I think so." Luke nodded, grabbing Percy's hand a squeezing, "Let's go see just what though."
