A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma having a bad habit of not buckling her seatbelt. One day when Snow is buckling Neal's, she decides to buckle Emma in too.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: I feel like there is never going to be a perfect moment to do this, so I'm going to rip the plater off now. I am officially making a FINAL CALL FOR ALL REQUESTS. All requests will be accepted, with very few conditions. That's right, doesn't matter if it's already had 2 follow ups. Doesn't matter if it's been covered a lot. Doesn't matter when you last had a request written. This will be everybody's final chance to make one last request! All I ask is:
It still focuses around the original Charming family.
It doesn't involve Emma ships.
If it is a sequel prompt, I have the chapter name and number from the last chapter in the miniseries.
All appropriate requests made before 9am GMT on Monday 21/05/18 will be accepted. If you have an account with PMs open and need any clarity, I will PM you. Obviously I will be writing chapters after that time, but I will not accept any new requests. So, have a wee think. What's one last thing you want written? As always, thanks for your love and support, JMAMK x
Snow still hated cars. She understood how convenient they were, and at least there wasn't as much poop lying around as there had been when horses were the main source of travel, but still. They were just a little scary. Especially since pretty much everyone in town got their licence from a curse. She was always concerned about getting into an accident and someone being seriously hurt. That's why it really stressed her that Emma didn't seem too bothered about wearing her seatbelt. Snow had challenged her on it numerous times, but she always shrugged it off and said that most people drove like grandmas in Storybrooke anyway so there was never any real danger of getting hurt. Snow, of course, disagreed. It wasn't often that she was in a position to tell Emma what to do though. Most of the time Emma drove her own car, so Snow wasn't really in a position to make her put it on if she happened to be with her. Today, however, she was.
The family had decided to take a spontaneous trip to the beach. It was a beautiful day, so why not? With Henry deciding to take advantage of the sunny weather by having a barbeque in the park with his friends, that left enough room in the car for Emma. Which was a good thing considering her bug was in the garage needing emergency break repairs. She had offered to buckle Neal into his carseat beside her, but Snow was so paranoid that she felt she always had to do it herself. So she quickly ducked into the back to make sure Neal was safe and secure. When she was finished, she spotted that, once again, Emma had conveniently forgotten about her own car safety. Sighing, Snow clambered over Neal and reached behind Emma for her seatbelt.
"What are you doing?" Emma asked, surprised.
"This." Snow responded. She took Emma's belt and got her buckled in. "Just in case you forget yourself." Snow explained. Emma rolled her eyes, but didn't complain. What would be the point? Snow quite agreed. She got out of the back and into the front passenger seat beside Charming, who was driving. In the meantime, he was looking at Emma in his rear-view mirror and chuckling at how she was sulking. Sometimes it was easy to forget that Emma was a fully grown adult and not a stroppy teenager.
