[CAPITAL TRIANING CENTER]
"Guys are you nervous for your private training sessions?" Tallie asked for the hundredth time today, she seemed really nervous for the sessions I never thought of them as that big of a deal.
"Faye, Evan I'll do it this time." Bexie says who was getting irritated by Tallie asking us this question all throughout lunch. "Evan is refusing to talk and Faye is nervous but she will be okay."
"Tallie I think you are more nervous than we are about this." I say eating another spoon full of soup. We were all eating lunch waiting for it to be time for are private training sessions to begin.
"Relax, Tallie." Jelame says drinking his seventh glass of wine today, he drinks a lot. "They will all be fine; Evan is the strongest tribute we've had in a long time and Faye can throw knives better than the careers."
"Okay I always get nervous for the training scores." Tallie says anxiously.
Evan has been quiet the last few days he hasn't said a word and if someone is quiet then than usually means they are hiding something.
"Do we know what we are wearing?" Ginger asks excitedly, she always manages to link everything back to clothes.
"Just shorts and a t-shirt for training." Osmond replies. "But Osmond and Ginger have a surprise for the interviews." He says with a smile and Ginger squeals. They often refer to themselves in the third person.
We eat the rest of lunch; I and Evan don't talk while Ginger and Osmond give Bexie fashion advice on what wig she should wear. After lunch I get up from the table and announce that I have to go. I and Beatrix have decided to meet up after lunch. I was told to be back in a hour.
I leave the room and take the lift up onto the roof. I and Beatrix have arranged to meet up here. I was about to go to the place on the roof where we arranged to meet up when I heard voices. I didn't hesitate to go over and listen to them.
It was Katniss and Peeta. Oh how in love these two sad heroes where standing staring dramatically into the distance. I was about to go away when I heard they were talking about me, I ran back over to listen in.
"I never really felt bad about her dying or felt I would miss her I just admired her." Katniss said. "But now that you know when you find out she had family and it just brings me back to the games to me she was just the smartest one and someone I wanted to eliminate as soon as I could but to her she was so much more. Her last word was her sister's name and I couldn't even get to know her name."
"I know Katniss I didn't get to know the name of someone that I killed; I killed her and didn't even learn her name." Peeta says. "It should have been me that ate the berries. I was the one that picked them I didn't know they where poisonous it wasn't fare. It might have been different if I was poisoning her on purpose but I often think she would notice if I was planning it. Do you think she would have known?"
Katniss sighs."She would have, she definitely would have noticed." She whispers.
"It was like she was the only innocent one left." Peeta says after a minuet of silence.
"What do you mean?" Katniss asked.
"She never killed. I killed, you killed, Cato killed I know we had to so we could survive but she never did and while watching the recaps I saw she had a chance to kill me when I was weak she could have killed me with my own knife, but she didn't and that makes me feel so guilty." Peeta says.
They where an awkward silence for a few minutes as Katniss comprehended it.
"Do you think she should have won, like she didn't deserve to die?" Katniss whispered.
"Nobody deserved to die in that arena." Peeta replied.
I had been sitting there for ten minutes when I realized that they weren't going to talk again. I walked to the other side of the room with thoughts rushing in my head. Did they actually feel guilty about her death? What do they mean by the only innocent one? I think I know what he meant, he meant-
"Faye I thought you would never show up!" Beatrix said running over to me hugging me once again ending my train of thought.
"Sorry Trix." I say, sitting up on the wall where we had been meeting up for the last couple of days. Beatrix said that Beatrix was too long she said that her sister all ways called her Trixie but she didn't like that name so she told me to call her what her friends called her which was Trix.
"Let me guess they where a conversation that you just had to ease drop in on." She says smiling.
"Sort of." I reply with a mischievous grin.
"Why aren't I surprised." She says taking a notebook and a pen out of her pocket.
I took out mine and we began to talk about the private training sessions. I took some notes of what I was good at and what I was bad at and I tried to pick what to do.
"Trix do you know what you're doing?" I asked looking up from my notes after a few minutes of taking notes.
"I guess I will throw around an axe a bit and maybe I will jump over some hurdles." She says as she has learnt she is very good at jumping hurdels.
"Oh yeah that would be good you should definitely do jumping it will impress them." I say.
"Okay so Faye what about you?" Beatrix asked writing down another few notes.
"I might climb, throw knives, tie some knots and maybe prove I am smart somehow." I say honestly I just think I will just try and do whatever I want but Tallie advised me to throw knives.
"Okay, I am so nervous though." She says closing her notebook and fidgeting with her hands.
"Me too." I reply.
"I am nearly as nervous as I was for the reaping." She replies with a short nervous laugh.
"I wasn't nervous for the reaping for some reason I was so certain it wouldn't be me." I say.
"Yeah I know your name is only in two times but you are always a bit nervous aren't you." She says plaiting her hair.
"My name was in their twenty times but district five is a very big district and the odds where definitely in my favor and what where the chances of me and Finch both being chosen so if I looked at the statistics it was virtually impossible so I didn't think I would need to worry. But I guess the statistics aren't thee only thing are they?"
"No they aren't but how you weren't scared twenty times is a lot for a thirteen year old." Beatrix says.
"I have a big family, Trix I have eight living siblings and my parents don't work much." I say with a laugh.
"I still can't get over the fact that you have nine siblings, how do you remember all of their names?" She asks.
"They all begin with F." I say.
"Can you name all of them because I don't even know nine names beginning with F?" She says.
"Faith is five, Finley is nine, Fiona is eleven, then there's me, Finn and Fion are thirteen, Fallon is fifteen, Frank is eighteen he was Finches twin and then Ferris is the oldest and he is twenty." I say counting them all on my fingers.
"I don't think I could survive with that many boys." Beatrix says.
"I am surprised I did." I say.
"Is it weird that Evan is Frank's friend?" Beatrix asks.
"Yeah it is, I hope if I run into him in the arena he will let me get away." I say hopefully.
"And that is why I won't leave your side in the games." She said.
"You can't because I don't think you will like stealing." I say.
"Your right I would definitely get caught." She admits
"I am excited for the plan if we do that are odds are definitely doubled." I say smiling.
"That's the hope Faye because if our plan doesn't work we will be dying a very slow and painful death." She says.
"Our plan will work as long as we get the timing right." I say with confidence even though I am really very worried.
"But the chances are it won't work." She says with a sigh.
"Statistics aren't everything." I say smiling.
She was about to say something when a loud voice was heard from down stairs.
"Faye Finch crossley get down here and get ready for you private training sessions!" Tallie shouts up from downstairs.
I jump down from the wall.
"Hey I didn't know your middle name was Finch." Beatrix says.
"Yeah hers was Faye, Fiona and Faith does that as well." I say shoving my notebook and pen into my pocket.
"That's so cute." She says smiling.
"Thanks , anyway I have to go hope you do well in training." I shout running away.
"You too!"

Tribute interviews
"Next up we have districts fives fabulous female tribute! She is little sister of past tribute Finch Crossley, the youngest ever tribute to get above a eight in training but what do we really know about this cunning girls let's find out more. Ladies and gentlemen I give you FAYE CROSSLEY!" Ceaser shouts
The crowd explodes into applause as I walk onto the stage. I don't smile I just walk and sit down in chair. I stare into the distance as if thousands of people where not sitting in front of me. I just look over them and pretend I do not know they are there.
"So Faye." Ceaser says.
"Yes Ceaser." I say continuing to stare into the distance.
"A nine in training that's impressive for someone your age you are the youngest ever that has to mean something." He says.
"I don't think age matters I would say I can outsmart a lot of the other tributes." I say as if thinking out loud, what I was really thinking was: I GOT A NINE IN TRIANING!
"Well you can outsmart a lot of the other tributes, can you?" He asks.
"All of the other tributes." I say and this gets a massive round of applause from the audience.
"Well I wouldn't be surprised considering what your sister did in her games." He says. "Will your tactics be similar?"
"I will be a bit different and I have a few surprises up my sleeve" I say pretending to be checking my nails.
"Well, well, well that is going to be exiting." He says while the capital audience lets out applause. "Anything you are worried about?"
"A few things, I won't bore you with the details." I say.
"You may." He says.
"I won't." I say
"You must tell us something." He begs.
"I might." I say.
"Okay well do you think you can win?" He asks.
"Maybe I could." I say. And after a short pause I repeat. "Maybe I could."
There was another pause.
"What type of arena are you hoping for?" Ceaser asks.
"Something… different." I say.
"Well game makers what do you have to say about that?" Ceaser asks as the spot light shines up to the game makers.
"We can promise it will be very different." One says.
This sends a chill up my spine, different is never good in the games but I keep a small grin on my face.
"That will be fun." I say.
"So Faye, your sister." Ceaser asks.
"What about her?" I ask. Tallie said it was best if I stayed away from that topic. Finch was my weakness.
"Well was it hard." He asks sympathetically.
"She was my sister I was sad but that was three years ago and I would rather not talk about it." I say. Inside I wanted to scream at them that they killed my sister and that they are going to kill me.
"Okay Faye any allies?" He asks.
"I have an ally I have a good ally." I say.
"Who is it." He asks.
"Ceaser I can't say it's too much fun making you wait." I say.
"You are just cruel." He jokes.
He is about to say something else when the buzzer goes off.
"Well Faye that's all the time we have. THAT WAS FAYE CROSSLEY FROM DISTRICT FIVE LADYS AND GENTLE MEN!" Ceaser screams as I walk of the stage and into the left wing.
As soon as I walk in I am surrounded by Bexie, Jelame, Tallie, Osmond and Ginger.
"Great job Faye!" Tallie says.
"I started to believe you!" Ginger Squeals.
"Good luck Evan!" Bexie says followed by another round of good lucks from the other four.
Evan walks onto the stage without saying a word. They all sit on the couch and watch Evan and Ceaser. I can feel some ones presents behind me and a tap on my shoulder I flinch.
"Hey flinch." Beatrix says.
"Hey, Trix!" I say turning around to see her standing behind me.
"You did great Faye the audience loved you! You're all my mentors can talk about." She says laughing.
"You need to get ready." I say.
"All I need to do is stand there and wait for my district to be called." She complains.
"Beatrix out!" I scream.
"Don't you full name me." She protests.
"Bye Bea-a-trix." I say.
She walks away and I turn back to watch Evan. I try pay attention but all I can think about is what the game makers said. He was probably just making stuff up and it would be a normal arena. I keep telling myself that so much that I start to believe it.
If only I knew the terrors they had in store for us this year.
