No regrets

Another one of mine. Another take on the scene with Peter, Regina, Snow and Emma at the tree of regrets.

"I have your son's heart inside of me. I can feel every time you've let him down time and time again…"

"Leave her alone." Snow snarled. Emma was hurting enough. She didn't need this. Pan growled. He didn't like being interrupted.

"Perhaps I should." He said, turning his attention to Snow. "After all, what chance did she have being a good mother? Look at the example you set her. Abandoning her for twenty eight years." Pan tore into Snow. Snow stared back at him coldly. She refused to let Pan get under her skin.

"Are you finished?" Snow asked him. Pan raised an eyebrow. He wasn't used to people being so bold around him. What Pan hadn't thought about, was the specifics of the tree of regret. Pan was figuring Snow would regret putting Emma through the wardrobe. In ways, she did. However, it wasn't as clear cut as that. "You're right. I wasn't there to set my daughter a good example on how to be a mother, because I wasn't able to be a mother to her. However, I did not abandon her. I gave Emma her best chance. If I didn't put her through that wardrobe, she would either have been cursed or killed. I did what I had to do to save my child. Do I wish I had been given the opportunity to be the mother she deserved? Of course I do. Does that mean I regret putting her through the wardrobe? Well, with the cards we were dealt, no. No I do not. It saved her life. I could never regret saving my child." With that, Snow could feel their binds loosening. She struggled against them and the vines fell away from all three of them. That allowed Regina to take Henry's heart back from Pan. They were a step closer to going home.
