Fighting over Emma

One of my own now. I wanted to write something based around the Snow Queen's line " a lot of patience, a lot of love."

Snow couldn't believe this was happening again. When would it end? When would there not be some crazy, sociopath witch out for one of their children? Snow thought they'd heard the last of it after the Wicked Witch came after Neal, but apparently not. Apparently an old foe was back. It seemed the Snow Queen had contact with Emma before. From what they'd gathered Emma had spent quite a bit of time in her care. To Snow, that made her even more dangerous. That's why she was out right now in the library trying to find as many ways as possible of defeating ice magic should the need arise. Snow's attention was diverted when an icy chill suddenly filled the room, followed quickly by an equally chilling laugh.

"My my, we are a keen reader, aren't we?" Came the owner of the voice. Snow's hands curled tightly around the book as she locked eyes on the Snow Queen.

"What do you want?" Snow snarled. Ingrid smiled.

"I just want to claim what is rightfully mine." She responded.

"I really hope you're not talking about my daughter, because she was never yours." Snow growled. The Snow Queen stared back, unthreatened by the look Snow was giving which would have sent many running for the hills.

"Oh really? My memories tell me otherwise. I remember spending a lot of time with Emma when she was still a child. Do you?" Snow hurled the book at Ingrid, but she used her magic to send it flying to the side where it slammed against the wall. She laughed at Snow's temper. "That's what I thought." She added. "You know, that's exactly why I'm not threatened by you, Snow White. You're no competition for me over being Emma's mother. You'll never win her over. Not with that attitude. You need a lot of patience with poor Emma. She's been broken so many times. She needs a lot of love. Love I can give to her. Love I've already given her." Ingrid told Snow. Snow could feel her blood beginning to boil.

"Let me make myself perfectly clear." Snow hissed. "You are one of the many people in Emma's life who let her down. You're one of the pieces me and my husband are trying to piece back together in her. We are Emma's parents, nobody else. Anybody who threatens to take Emma away from us again will face our wrath. Do I make myself clear? Emma is off limits, especially to you. If I see you near her again I will not give a warning shot." Snow promised. The Snow Queen smirked.

"So meek and timid little Snow White has not come to play, it seems." She commented. "Very well. The problem is, I always get what I want; and I want Emma." And with that, she disappeared. Snow didn't get her anger get the better of her this time. She busied herself with finding as many ways as possible of keeping that witch away from her little girl.
