Wearing glasses

Fangirl448 asked for a oneshot of little Emma hating wearing her glasses but Charming convincing her they're not so bad.

Sorry guys. I had hoped to have this out earlier, and to have more of the last oneshots out alongside it, but it just wasn't happening. As you may know, I have anxiety and I've just being going through quite an anxious phase so writing just wasn't happening.

"I hate them." Emma whined.

"Aw, how come princess? I think they're super awesome! They've got Spiderman on them and everything!" Charming tried to encourage his daughter. Emma was having none of it.

"I still don't wanna wear them to school. The other kids already treat me differently because of who my parents are. Some of the meaner ones will just use me having glasses as an excuse to be even meaner. They make me look stupid." Emma said quietly. Charming's heart broke for his daughter. Fortunately, he had a trick up his sleeve. He had seen Emma's face when they bought her glasses a week ago. He knew she wasn't thrilled about wearing them. So he knew he might need something to help him out.

"You could never look stupid." He told his daughter sincerely. "Wanna know a secret?" Emma perked up a little at this. Charming reached into his pocket and pulled out another glasses case. "I have glasses too." He whispered to her. Emma looked shocked at this.

"How come you never told me?" She asked.

"Well, I was a bit shy about wearing my glasses. Now that my best girl has them too though, I was beginning to feel less shy. If you don't wear yours though, I don't think I'll be brave enough to wear mine." Charming told her. Emma immediately scrambled for her glasses and shoved them on her face.

"There! I've got my glasses on, so now you've got to wear yours!" She instructed him. Charming chuckled as he put his new glasses on his face. Emma grinned at him. She liked matching with her daddy.

"Well, don't you two look very smart." Came a voice from the doorway. The pair looked up to see Snow standing there. She came in and kissed Emma on the forehead.

"Why don't you go see how much of your acrobatics you can still do with glasses on?" Snow suggested. Emma very much liked this suggestion so went running for the garden.

"Just be careful!" Both her parents called after her, but they knew Emma seemed to be made of rubber. Snow then turned her attention to Charming. Unlike Emma, she could see this his frames were filled with just plain glass.

"You bought yourself some glasses just so Emma didn't feel left out?" She asked. Charming smiled sheepishly.

"You know I'd do anything for her." He told Snow. Snow smiled back. She did indeed know that. It was one of the many qualities she found so attractive in her husband. She slowly sat herself down on his lap.

"Well, I like them." She whispered against his ear. "Maybe you can keep them on when we go to bed?" She suggested. Charming grinned, pulling Snow closer.

"I'm sure I could manage that." He replied. Snow chuckled, pulling him in for a passionate kiss. She just hoped they didn't end up broken.
