The end

mate54 asked for a oneshot of when everyone is passed out in 6x17, Snowing see little Emma in their castle in a dream. They spend some time with her before TLK wakes them all.

So, it's been a long time since I've posted on here. Unfortunately, this will be the last ever chapter of OCF. I'm truly sorry to the few remaining people who had requests, but I just can't muster up the energy to write them. The thing is, my life became very turbulent towards the end of summer. I've had some pretty dark moments, and getting through some days right now is difficult enough.

Thank you to everyone who got me to this point. All your requests, your words of encouragement. It's meant so much to me. I just think it's now time to end this chapter of my own story and find some new ways to deal with this thing we call life. Remember, you're in charge of your own story. Make it as magical as you can.

It had been quiet for…they didn't really know how long for. Were they awake? Were they sleeping? Was this real? Neither of them knew. Something just felt…off. They couldn't quite put their finger on it though. All they knew was, they were back home. This was their palace. Not like the last time Snow had seen it though. The effects of Regina's curse had not touched this version of their home. The sun was splitting the skies above them. The birds were twittering up in the trees. Everything seemed…pretty perfect. They didn't realise quite how perfect it could be.

"Mommy! Daddy!" The pair turned round and their hearts stopped in their chests. Emma. Their Emma. Except quite a bit smaller. The little ball of blonde hair charged right into her father's arms. Charming instinctively scooped her up and whirled her around. For a moment, he and Snow stared at each other over Emma's head. What was going on? Emma giggled, cuddling into her father.

"Emma?" He asked, still not quite believing him. Emma leaned back, her curious green eyes gazing into his soul.

"Silly daddy, of course it's me!" Emma squirmed in his arms until he put her down. She then took a hand from each of her parents. "Come on! Let's play!" She demanded. Of course, Snow and Charming weren't going to say no. They'd waited so many years for this moment.

The parents enjoyed an untold amount of precious time with their daughter. Doing whatever she wanted to do. Riding horses. Having sword fights, a tea party. The day never seemed to end. Until suddenly…it did. One moment, they were in their palace, the next, they were back in their apartment in Storybrooke. Why were all their friends lying around them? What had happened? Of course, the first person they went to was Emma. Had this really happened? Or had it all been a dream? They weren't sure they really wanted to know. Whatever it had been had been pretty much perfect. Sure, it was over now, but while it had been, they'd loved every minute of it.

All my love,
