Where there is good, there will always be evil. The very philosophy of the small creatures of legend rested on that. Keeping that balance in check was mandatory for the survival of civilization and nature alike. Of course when you were the size of the average human's hand, restoring order was easier said than done. It would be even worse had it not been for the fact that there were seven of them. No, the kwami, as they were called, were never near or far from one another. The pact that was agreed upon after their inception was that they'd always be there for each other, even if their personalities counteracted themselves.

A lunar crescent light shined over an old oak tree in a mountain valley. Along came a bird that decided to land on a nice branch to rest for the eternal night, yet it heard commotion from the inside and could only wonder who or what would be up at those hours.

Floating amongst her fellow kwami, was the ladybug like one of creation. Tikki was her name. She was trying to get some shuteye in preparation for their daily exodus, however it was hard to sleep when a certain someone kept meowing as he snored, the cat like one of destruction;Plagg they knew him as. It was like he was taunting her.

Acting as if he was inept to her little tangent, he continued the noise which eventually got the ladybug to sigh and comment, "You are a pain to work with sometimes." She let her antennas relax as she yawned and put herself to sleep next to him. The night continued on with little to no disturbances, at least that's what the creatures wanted to think, with an order to uphold. And when the morning sun creeped out from over the horizon to lighten up the soon to be blue sky, the ladybug was the first to awaken.

"It's time to wake up." She shouted mildly to the preceding kwami that got up their sleepyheads to stretch and turn their attention to her. "You don't need to tell me twice sugercube." Said the cat in slight aggrivation. Admittedly Tikki did like the nicknames Plagg gave everyone, despite the butterfly-like one of mind, Nooroo, not thinking so and whispering that he was wasting his time. He fluttered next to the ladybug to face the others as well.

"Anyway." Muttered the purple shuriken winged kwami. "There has been a dangerous spike in akumas from beyond this valley. Note, this is very rare for our dementors. I'm not sure what they are up to yet, but as usual, we must stop them."

If anyone was wondering, akumas translated to an evil. They were the influences that caused turmoil a majority of the time, but their influence would overwhelm any and all morally sound individuals, unless of course they themselves are already immoral. Kwamis were the only ones that could see past their facades and couldn't fall to their influence in wake of being the polar oppsites.

Sure, some got away when tangling with them, but mostly left with their power disperst and the order restored. There were very dire consequences for leaving them unopposed, nonetheless being a lingering oppression in the perameters that weren't purified. Akumas never let up and neither did they, but where they originated from was anyone's guess. "No rest for the wicked, as they say." Plagg said while rolling his green eyes. Wit was his personal forte.

Soon the little creatures each departed from the tree startling the bird who promptly fell down with a rough landing. No one said anything as they flew over a serene lake of glistening water to a small village hidden deep within the valley. Already Nooroo felt things were off and slightly coughed from the evil oddities that they soon found themselves in the presence of. Also, a mist not seen before infiltrated their surroundings and certainly helped to put them at unease.

A particular akuma with a forced shady outlook on life was ravenging houses and tarnishing the land with specifically placed mines and extorting people who fled anyway by holding them hostage. But at the same time, he still knew they were approaching him, despite looking away. "So the kwami have come to play? Trying to save yet another strong willed person as they always have." He said with a frown followed by a low chuckle. "They'll feel all the anguish and despair that I have felt for all my life. I'll take us all out if I have to."

Typical of the evil, thinking that the creatures would cower at their might, whatever it may be. He tried to stab at them with a dagger enveloped in flames to no avail as they weaved past him attempting to come to an equally acceptable method of purification. From their perspective, it just looked like a game of keep away which very rarely if ever halted them, but for him, it was a lure. The one of mind knew this too though, and after they narrowrily avoided a flurry of swings, he regrouped them.

Now knowing their boundaries for handling him, they let Plagg go off to cause a cataclysm. His energy assault did throw him back a bit and shredded his weaponry. Being further pestered by the cat, he grabbed him, forgetting about their ability to phase through any matter which he did, slashing the akuma's face with fury as a consequence. Then he was swarmed by the others who, with the exception of Tikki, kept him busy long enough to let her use her antennas to scew his heart. It halted an akuma, but didn't kill them and sure enough, out came a cotton colored moth which flew away, free and pure.

Moving away from him they let him fall over returning to normal. But something was still wrong, as the mist was still there and Nooroo still felt things were off. The wise turtle-like one, Wayzz could makeout something or someone in the mist. A collage of corrupt moths and someone who sent them after them. What was unexpected was for them to stop suddenly and return to the stranger. "Kidding. You're too quick to come up in arms. I've been waiting far too long to meet you all. What kind of introduction is this?"

"You've waited far too long to meet us all?" Questioned Wayzz. "Why yes my little kwami. The only thing that keeps the akumas from destroying the balance as you say are you. I'm sure you're wondering anyway where they came from, but you'll learn when you need to."

Learn;what a strong word for the figure to use considering he had no business telling them what they needed to learn. How could he not have been the one responsible for all the akumas if the moths came back to him? Questions like that went unanswered as he suddenly disappeared into the mist taking all the corruption and influence away from the small village.

The kwamis were beyond confused from the figure. Balance he had reflected back at them, and the moths that had come to him apparently weren't of his origin. ….

People stood around them in happiness that they had been saved and that the person was too. It was welcomed, but Tikki still had something to remind them of. "Never bottle up your emotions, less you want the same to happen to you as well. That's just to ensure in the future you're safe from the akumas." They all took her advice and only then did they leave content, but still worried.

Backtracking beyond the valley with plenty of sunshine on their side and no further evils to sense of, they headed or flew across a forest with a road that cut through and led to a small town of windmills and small shops.

Upon eyeing a flower shop, the bee-like spiritual one, Pollen, suggested they rested themselves there. Partially for herself and partially for them, obviously. Plagg on the other hand hated being there because he was allergic to pollen. He'd contradict himself anyway as Nooroo was around to repeat what was already on his mind at the first chance he got. At the very least, they could calm their nerves in an empty flower pot spotted by Wayzz.

"Achoo! Geez louise it sucks to be me!" Whined Plagg. "Be lucky we weren't pursued by that… stranger." The turtle responded. His reasons for still being shaken were as clear as day so after that he tucked himself into his shell to theorize and straighten himself out. The cat looked over to Tikki who looked back. "Yes Plagg?" He held in another sneeze nasely chit chatting. "Aside from my ever present illness, think we'll get some dirt on ol' misty?" "Misty? Real original." He laughed. "Yeah, I know." She finished. "Not sure if we'll really find out anything, but I hope we'll be able to and stop him or it." Tikki was intentional with the emphase put on it.

Nooroo absent mindly stared at the clouds which appeared to be, less inviting? More, sinister. He probably should've chilled out, he was not going to go crazy from some figure that thinks he knows what's up with them and their dynamics.

But in the storm of his brain he saw the fox-like one of adversity, Trixx, plotting to get a reaction out of him, so it was no surprise that when he tried he was held back, though minimally by Nooroo. "Argh, come on you think too much into this stuff, like shelldon over there." He complained pointing to Wayzz. "Let me think and I won't have to put up a fight against you." Threatened the butterfly who had to hold back his disgust when Trixx brushed up some dirt on parts of his face and wings.

Pollen spent her time outside carefully picking out the smallest of flowers for her fellow kwami, even Plagg despite his allergies. Much unlike everyone else, the stranger of the mist didn't really make her think too deeply which in due part was from her constant uplifting personality and that she knew that they'd run into the person again. Though he still disrupted her mood at the time, the day was still raging on and she had no time to further ponder about such an upsetting character. Out of her perifverial vision, she noticed the tail feathers of the peacock-like one of morality, Duusu.

"What's the deal, Duusu?" She joyfully said with some flowers in hand. "Nothing, it's just that I was wondering what you were up to. Seeing as the others were uh, mingling if you will. Would've come to Wayzz but he was sheltering himself." "Oh you're no bother, I was picking out flowers for all of you. I assume you're quite fond of cobalts?" The peacock answered her effortlessly. "Yup, I couldn't dream of them not being so." Her sincerity was like no other. "We're all each other's favorites after all."

Twas times like this that kept the kwamis together through even the strangest of akumas and most annoying aspects amongst them. As long as evil hadn't arised they were free to tend to themselves or just explore the world of variety with no bars held. Still, some more explicit things were unknown to them, and if influences arose beforehand, that was a not so subtle saving grace. There was also no such thing as being alone, whether they liked it or not, but they did feel free to give themselves privacy or downtime.

When Pollen and Duusu returned, the others were delighted (Kinda) at the bouquets received in their respective favorite colors. Especially since the allure of one of them got Wayzz out of his head and into a fun yet subdued mood. Everyone was content; nothing harmful. However when Plagg sneezed, blowing away most of the petals into them, they all had to laugh.
