Hello everyone! Well, I know I said that Forget You, Never was gonna stay the way it is but what can I say, this idea popped into my head and now I can't shake it off. If you haven't read Forget You, Never i recommend you do before you read this one. It is just one chapter so it shouldn't take you long ;)
This story is set in Neverland. David is hit with dreamshade poison and somehow it managed to bring his memories back from when he slept with Regina while Snow and Emma were in the EF.
Now enjoy the story! Let me know what you think!
"You were hit with an arrow that had dreamshade poison in it?! And you didn't think of telling me until now?!"
Snow was furious.
"I'm sorry Snow! I didn't wanna worry you!"
They were arguing in front of everyone. Emma felt like she wanted to disappear, Hook couldn't help but feel amused because he had never seen the love birds argue like this before, and Regina... well Regina wanted to disappear.
"David you can't just not tell me that you're going to die for the sake of not worrying me!" Snow was livid now.
"I know and I'm sorry. Please forgive me"
"I can't forgive you right now" Snow said before she disappeared to the forest.
David sighed. He hated when he argued with her. He turned around and saw everyone staring at him, and suddenly he wanted the earth to eat him whole.
"I'm just gonna-" and before he finished his sentence he walked towards the opposite side of the forest.
He didn't know how far out he had walked but he could tell he was gone for hours now. He just needed time to think and cool down. David felt a stinging pain in his torso, where the arrow had hit him. He lifted his shirt up and winced at how fast the poison was spreading. Hook had told him he had a few days tops to live, and he hated that he was wasting time arguing with Snow instead of being together to spend the last days he had left on this earth.
He put his shirt back down and walked near a trunk to sit. He was tired. He sat on the trunk with his forearms on his thighs, head looking down.
Another stinging pain made him stand up suddenly. He was groaning in pain now, the pain growing in intensity every second that passed. His head started hurting. It was like someone was pushing something into his brain. He had to find a tree and put his hand against its trunk for balance. And then flashes began to appear before his eyes.
He was sitting on the floor in the loft with Regina. She had thanked him for letting her see her her son. They were laughing. She was telling him about Daniel and how much she loved him. He was smiling. Then he kissed her. She told him to stop, but he insisted. They kissed again. Then Regina's clothes came off. They made love. Then it was morning. Regina told him what happened couldn't happen again. He then went to her vault. She wanted him to drink a potion to make him forget of their night together. He didn't want to. Then he saw her rip his heart out and force him to drink the potion. And then he left the vault without a clue of what had happened.
David felt like he couldn't breathe. The memories were coming back at a lighting speed and he felt all the emotions he had felt then rush into his heart. He felt the joy when he talked with Regina, he felt the happiness when she was telling him about Daniel, he felt the sadness when he saw Regina cry in front of him because of how much she missed Daniel, he felt the tension between them when they kissed, he felt the wanting to make love to her until sunrise, he felt the pain when she threatened to erase his memories.
He felt all of it.
The camp was quiet when he arrived back. He walked closer to the tent when he saw her.
Regina was there, laying down, eyes looking up to the sky.
David looked around to see if there was anyone else there, but there was no one. Snow apparently wasn't back, and Emma and Hook were also gone.
He needed to talk to Regina. It was now or never.
Regina felt footsteps approaching to where she was and she couldn't help but move her head and look. Her brows furrowed in confusion when she saw David give her a particular look, like he was mad at her.
"What do you want David?" she asked sitting up, irritated.
David didn't answer, but instead he lowered himself so he was eye level with her. Regina could see that he was angry, but she didn't understand why until he said in a very low, angry voice.
"I remember."
Regina gasped. She looked at him with wide eyes, unable to comprehend how he remembered.
"How did you-"
"I don't know. But I remember, and I can't begin to describe what I'm feeling right now." David cut her off before she finished her sentence.
He stood up and walked a bit further from her before he stopped himself in his tracks and turned around. She was standing now, the look in her eyes the most vulnerable he's since since that night.
"Why Regina. Why?!" He asked in a loud voice and she winced.
"David I was trying to redeem myself, and like I told you sleeping with you was not going to help my case." She half lied. There was more to it and he knew it.
"That's not entirely true and we both know it!" He said while walking closer to her, faces inches apart now.
Regina was looking up at him. She felt so small, so vulnerable. She needed to put her mask on right away or things were going to end badly.
But he didn't give her a chance to. His face came closer to hers, and he started speaking in that low, angry tone again.
"I begged you not to erase my memories and you did it anyways. How dare you erase one of the best nights of my life Regina?" Hurt flickered through his eyes, a tear falling down his cheek.
She felt horrible, she just wanted to disappear and be alone in her own thoughts.
"I-" she began saying but found herself speechless. She didn't know what to say. She just wanted to vanish, to get as far away as possible. She didn't dwell well with vulnerability and right now she felt as she had her heart out in front of him to do as he pleased with it.
"You what?!" He insisted.
"Like I said, I was trying to redeem myself" she managed to say, trying to find her voice.
"That's bullshit and you know it!"
"David please-"
"No. No you don't get to beg now. Do you have any idea how I'm feeling right now?" He said while putting some distance between them, and then continued.
"I feel... hurt. I feel sad. And I thought I would feel guilty for cheating on my wife with you but I don't!"
Regina was just staring at him, trying her best to not let the tears that were threatening to fall do just that.
"I don't feel guilty at all" David chuckled with tears freely falling down his eyes now.
Regina didn't say anything, instead she walked closer to him, closing the distance between them. She looked at him, eyes filled with longing.
"David I-" she started saying again but no coherent thought came to her mind. Instead she gave a pouty sigh and kissed him.
The kiss took David by surprise but he quickly kissed her back, the memories of that night flooding his mind. He kissed her and he didn't feel any regret.
He then grabbed her waist pulling her closer to him, their fronts pressing against each other. David moaned when he felt Regina's tongue brushing with his. They paused their kiss to grab some air, and before they were going to kiss each other again they heard a very familiar voice.
"David?"
He turned around to see Snow standing there with wooden sticks in her hands, tears following deliberately down her eyes.
"Snow please let me explain" he said breaking contact with Regina and walking towards Snow, following her into the forest.
Regina stood there, perplexed. A tear fell down her face when David did not even look back at her before he followed Snow. So she went back and laid down, eyes looking up to the sky, tears freely falling down and wetting her hair.
