Brothers in all but soul
Nothing you say is gonna scare me now -Inside out, Zedd, Griff
There was once three boys.
One of pain, one of death, and one of healing.
But it wasn't always like this

I just wish I had a family who loved me the foster child cried as he was left on the street. His foster family had abandoned him again.
Harry had been in the adoption system for a full 3 years. After running away from home due to the pain of neglect, a police officer had dragged him to the nearest police station where a social worker had brought him to Lucy's Orphanage. He had proceeded to stay there for next 2 years.
Within the first day, he was bullied. Because he was a wizard. And he knew. He knew about magic since the day he could walk. Yes, he could barely remember that and he didn't really understand it at the time but nevertheless he knew.
So why couldn't he control the damn thing?
Because of emotions that's why. Pathetic, worthless emotions. When he was sad? Jimmy's bunny breaks its neck. When he was jealous? All the food in the orphanage ends up in the river. A month's worth of food. And when he was angry? Oh ho ho. You do not want to be near Harry when he was angry. The last time that happened, Ben ended up mentally insane from too much exposure to torture.
The Cruciatus Curse.
Harry had heard his father talking about how Alice and Frank Longbottom were under the Cruciatus Curse for too long. The torture curse. They are permanent residents at St. Mungo's. That was the year that he had run away.
And when Harry had snapped back into reality, he realized he had done the same thing to Ben. The matrons had found him standing over the insane Ben Larwook and that was when they realized who he was.
A monster.
Harry had known before. Jimmy had said it when he picked up his dead bunny, clutching it to his chest. Petricia had said it when they had starved for a week as the matrons hastily tried to make up for the food that was gone.
And now the matrons had said it too.
At the orphanage, everyone avoided him like the plague. The matrons always tried their best to recommend Harry to families. It had worked a few times but he was always sent back when the families saw him do "odd things". It was ranging from appearing on the roof of the house when he was in the kitchen just a second ago to "turning his girlfriend into this dead thing". Of course, there was never actually a girlfriend but his classmate, Amy, had once exclaimed that he was cute and had kissed him. As soon as he recovered his wits and pulled back, her eyes had turned cold and lifeless, her body pale and limp. It was like he took her soul away.
It was then when he decided to wear a mask. An emotionless mask that betrayed nothing. Fear, jealously, anger, happiness, excitement, nervousness- it was all pushed to the back of his mind, leaving Harry with a perfect poker face.
But he was once again abandoned because his mask had slipped. He had burned down his foster parent's house out of anger. Petunia and Vernon Dursley had forced him to do everything they said to like a slave and Harry had one day become fed up with it. The bacon cooking on the stove then exploded as the fire grew. And now he was here. He didn't know where the orphanage was! He didn't have any idea what to do! His non-existent sense of direction was completely useless!
Harry had no one left. Not even the spiders in his cupboard liked him.
"I wish for a family", Harry whispered again. "One that would love me".
And he fell asleep.
"Storm", Draco called as his beautiful white, gray, and black phoenix familiar appeared in a flash of black flame.
Draco Storm replied in his mind.
"Would you please send me the book Wolfen Hierarchy by Remus Lupin?" Draco asked.
Storm nodded before once again disappearing. Draco sighed, rubbing his tired eyes, squinting at the book he was reading, Possession of the soul by Thomas Harkins. He was a muggleborn wizard that had been possessed by Nagini, Voldemort's snake, in the last Wizarding War used to trick the Order. He described it in great detail and gave a great understanding of the experience. But it wasn't that much help for what Draco was doing.
He sighed again, bowing his head to continue reading the book just in case there was important information. He tapped his foot on the alley pavement, searching.
Draco wanted to create a potion to curb Lycanthropy because Wolfsbane wasn't really cutting it. What would people do about the physical aspect of the problem? The pain? The danger?
Draco knew that the wolf possesses the body opposed to the soul but there were no books for body possession (Only Voldemort had done it before and he wasn't about to write a book about that) so the best he (and Storm) could find was soul possession and it wasn't doing anything to help.
But Draco had eventually found a new idea. He knew the basics of Wolfen Hierarchy. Alpha was leader, Beta was second-in-command, and all the other wolves in the pack bowed to the Alpha and Beta.
Draco had done research for werewolves (dissected an already dead werewolf) and discovered that once a human was bitten, half of their soul becomes wolf while the half soul that it had replaced gets killed. That half soul that is wolf then constantly fights with the human part of the soul for dominance but doesn't have enough strength to overpower it until the full moon when it grows to max strength. Overpower but not kill. The reason for that is before there is always the softer part of the soul and the harder part, which are half and half of the full soul. The hardened soul has more defense and so the wolf soul cannot kill it. Not even if the human is a child.
Children get bitten and converted more often than adults because their souls are still soft and are easily killed but adult souls are hardened already which makes it harder to kill (even the softer part is not always possible).
Draco tried to research how to kill the wolf soul but realizing that he can't because wolf souls are hard as soon as they are placed in a human's body and isn't able to be pulled out unless he wanted the human part to be gone as well.
So, the next idea would have to be able to cower it.
Draco already had the idea of using a Patronus like creature that could be ingrained into a potion (Pulling a happy memory out of the head and placing it in the potion before casting Expecto Patronum) and since werewolf patronuses are automatically wolves (it's in their souls for Merlin's Sake!) it could cow the other wolf if it is of lower rank.
So, Draco had to study Wolfen Hierarchy and get the book about that, written by Remus Lupin, a werewolf himself and the godfather of the pathetic Boy-Who-Lived, Charlus Potter.
But that wasn't important.
What was important was this hierarchy book. Would a wolf immediately cow down to high status or challenge for a fight? Draco had already tried the test with the happy memory and the incantation put in a potions flask and it worked like he expected, creating a small scorpion Patronus. His Patronus.
Besides that, Draco also had to account for mind magic mixing with body magic which should never happen. He would have to add in protective, non-mixable ingredients to create a barrier between the soul and patronus. He would also have to incorporate his own variation of the statis and stupefy spell that froze the Patronus in a way that would not let it disappear but would still allow movement.
Draco noted down these criteria, tapping his chin until there was a flash of flames.
"Thank you Storm", Draco petted his phoenix who preened before trilling happily.
Draco smiled faintly before sighing once more and turning his attention to the book in front of him.
Wolfen Hierarchies by Remus Lupin
Draco flipped it open to the first page and began reading the skinny book, eyes brushing through the content at an inhumane pace before he struck gold.
A wolf of a lower status would have to bow to their higher ups even if they are of enemy packs.
A/N Err... Tell me what you think?
