"This isn't good. No, no, no. This is bad. This is..." Luis scrambled in confusion and stress before interruption from Luz. "Can you explain where the heck are we and why I don't have a clue, even though you know it?" "I am afraid, I can only answer the first one." Luis paused for a brief moment. "I like to call it a 'Wibbly wobbly timey wimey room' because the real name sounds so much more terrifying." Luis would continue, but then they heard a deep voice talking to them. "Does 'Antiparadox mind-erasing chamber' sound that terrifying to you?" An oldish looking man, in a green garment, clearly oversized, with a terrifying expression on his face and with hands hidden behind his back. Everyone looked at him in confusion, before Luz gathered all her courage and spoke. "Have I heard 'mind-erase' and 'antiparadox' in the name?" "correct." everyone, except Luis, gasped in the realization, what this meant. "Your friend escaped from here before we could wipe her memories." The old man pointed at Luis who sat in the corner, at the edge of crying. Axl noticed her state and got nearer her before whispering to her "Don't be worried, we will get out of here somehow, with our memories. And after all, this place doesn't seem all that horrible." Axl tried to calm her down. It didn't work. She knew what did terrifying mean for her, and this certainly checked all the boxes. "we won't." she sniveled. "I am sure we wi..." he was cut off by a finger on his lips. "Luz doesn't remember this place, that means my memory must have been wiped. I wouldn't forget this place." "When we are at the topic of this place..." Axl started. "Why are you so upset with it?" Axl finished with a worried expression. He hasn't seen her so sad in ages, if ever. "Don't you see it?" still sniveling Luis asked him while trying to sound serious. "I think I am still missing some." Axl responded confusedly. "My memories will be completely wiped here and exchanged for...for..." Luis burst into tears. "It'll be fine." Axl tried to comfort her with a hug. She accepted it but still kept crying. He wanted to know, for what their memories will be exchanged, but felt it wasn't the right time now.
Meanwhile, Luz debated with the old man. "So, what is even your name, sir?" she asked while looking all around her for any clues on where they are, or how they can get out of here. The room they were in was brightly purply lit with pink and blue neon-like lights scattered all over it. The floor was made out of some purely white material. The grip on it was perfect. It wasn't anything she had even heard about. "I will ignore that question and rather say that all of this around you is antimatter." The old man spoke. Luz gasped in confusion, stress, fear, and anger. How did he know what she was thinking? "You are in an Antiparadox mind-erasing chamber especially made so it's impossible for you to escape. And don't even try any of your spells, the antimatter room will stop it." Luz tapped a light spell in her pocket, just to be sure, to her surprise, it worked. She quickly killed the tiny light and started to make a plan in her head before realizing that the man standing next to her can read minds. So she flushed all her thoughts as fast as she could, luckily the man didn't seem to notice because he diverted his attention to the crying Luis.
Luz wasted no time, she grabbed her notepad and started drawing the Time-T spell. Once she got it, she ran closer to her friends. Axl noticed her first, breaking the hug and asking "Huh, what's ..." before he could finish Luz jumped grabbing them both and asking: "Where do you want to go?" "Anywhere but here!" Axl shouted and activated the spell in her hand. Nothing happened. "Huh, what?" Luz looked confused. "I told you, no magicy madness in here." Before she could think out a reason why it didn't work this time she had to get rid of all her thoughts again, so she won't expose the truth about the light spell. Luz gave up and started to cry. "Now you too?" Axl looked at her and hugged her. Luz accepted the hug and positioned herself in a way so the old man couldn't see her face. He tried to calm her down too before noticing she is talking to him: "Hey, Axl." she whispered. "I need you to distract him, but don't think about it as a distraction, he can read your thoughts. Ok? That's why I even started to cry, so I could hide behind your head and told you what I need you to do, without him knowing." "That's a bit nasty from you, but fine." he replied with a small sight while trying not to think about anything. "So if you will erase our memory can I ask you some questions..." Axl started to distract the old man, and Luz got a chance to draw the clone spell. "What is this spell for, I haven't seen it yet?" Luis asked Luz. "Oh, wait and see." Luz answered without stopping drawing it out.
"Uh, hi sir, can I ask you some questions?" Luz said towards the old man. He nodded. "Oh, and about you Axl, Luis needs you, go and help her." Luz winked at Axl. He didn't quite get it, but he had followed Luz's request and went back while Luz was distracting now. As he approached Luis he noticed something was behind her, Luz with a finger over her mouth slowly popped up from behind Luis. She grabbed them both and activated the time-traveling spell.
Thankfully it worked this time and they time-traveled. Now they were at their home. "Phew, that was close" Luz relaxed a bit "Uh, what and … how and ..." Luz stopped him with a finger. "Ok, so I needed you to distract him because it wasn't the room, that was blocking the magic, it was him. And I was there twice because I used a cloning spell on myself and created a fake me, that exchanged your position with you." Luz explained everything. "Oh, wow, and you came up with all of this on the spot, I'm impressed." Axl responded, still in shock at what just happened. "But this wasn't the last time, we were at that place" Luis grumbled. "oh right, they haven't destroyed our memories yet." Axl murmured. "What are you two talking about?" Luz was clearly confused. "Who says, that they will erase our memories?" Luz continued. "You haven't remembered that place, that means, they had wiped out our memories." Luis's voice was shaking. "Oh, hey, calm down, it'll be fine, do you want to know why?" Axl asked Luis. "Give me one good reason." Luis replied annoyed. Axl whispered something to Luis's ear, that cheered her up. "So now when everything's clear, let's go home." Axl stood up and clasped his hands. "uhh, we like don't know when are we now...soo...what will we do?" Luis asked her friends. They thoughtfully nodded. "I think, there is no other way, than to just look around." Luz answered with a determined smile.
