Chapter: James' Sirius issue
Sirius was so excited. He would soon get to meet with his best friend James. Sirius would've stayed in the city with James, but his job prevented it. Sirius worked as a traveling photographer. It wasn't the best paying job, but he enjoyed it.
James was like a brother to Sirius. He spent most of his life with James' family. It was almost like he himself was a Potter.
James said that by the time he arrived there would be food. This was the first time Sirius had ever been to James' house. Sirius couldn't stop smiling on his drive (except for when the traffic got bad.)
When he got to James' house it was empty. He looked around to check for a sign that this wasn't his friend's house, but he didn't see anything. The thing that gave away the house belonged to James most was the huge sign that said "WELCOME SIRIUS!"
"What an enthusiastic oddball." Sirius laughed under his breath.
"SIRIUS IS THAT YOU?!" James was yelling pulling into his driveway.
"YES JAMES WHY ARE YOU YELLING?!" Sirius shouted back.
James got out of his car. "I missed you, Sirius."
"I missed you too, mate." Sirius said, bringing James into a quick hug.
"Oh, and there's something I have to tell you about." James mentioned.
"Ok, but can we eat? I'm kind of hungry." asked Sirius.
"Yeah, ok." James replied.
The two walked into James' nice sized home. James was walking quickly, but Sirius was taking it all in. This was the place his best friend was staying while he was on the road.
"Here's the kitchen come sit down." James put the food on the table and grabbed napkins. "You still like fried chicken?"
"Of course." Sirius sat down. "So what is it you just have to tell me?" Sirius asked.
"So when I was picking up the food I sat down to wait. Then, a really pretty girl walked in with a few other people." James started explaining. "Her smile was kind and her eyes. Oh, her eyes Sirius."
"So, did you actually talk to her?" Sirius questioned while after a large bite of meat.
"Well, not exactly. I'm not like you. I can't just walk up and deliver a cheesy pickup line." James said.
"Hey! They're not cheesy." Sirius snapped.
"Sure they're not. Anyway, I left her my name and number." James finished.
"Do you think she'll text you?"
"I don't know." ding!
"Is that her?"
"I'm unsure it just says Hi"
"Ask if it's her." suggested Sirius.
"Ok." James looked at his phone and started typing.
"Her name is Lily, and we're going to meet up tomorrow." James said gleefully.
"Ok, good for you man." Sirius replied looking down at his plate.
"I can reschedule if you want." James suggested.
"No. It's fine, go on your date." Sirius spoke.
"It's not really a date. I don't really know her, I'm kind of surprised she even texted me in the first place." mumbled James quickly.
"I just haven't been with anyone for a while, but this will give me a chance to look around the city." Sirius said brightly.
"Ok, if that's what you want." James responded smiling.
James was always talking about Lily, but what else could Sirius expect him to do. Sirius spent his time exploring the city and taking photos. Every day he walked past a bookstore with a book in the window he'd never seen before. The title was "To Cover Your Face Every Day" by someone named Remus Lupin.
"Sirius she's coming over tomorrow." James stuttered in a panic.
"Lily?" Sirius asked
"Yeah, and her friend Remus." James spoke, quickly fixing the pillows.
"The author?" Sirius questioned.
"I think so. Have you read his book?" James asked, looking at him.
