Emma in the middle- part 17

Torie714 asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2680 "Emma in the middle part 16" where Snowing are confronted by Neal and Marili. I have a feeling this might the first story to get moved to its own story…

After seeing Emma still in such distress, Marali and Neal knew they couldn't be selfish any longer. They couldn't pretend they didn't recognise that she got less attention than them. This had to stop. It had to stop now. Together, they went straight to their parents' room.

"Well, have you patched things up with your sister?" Charming asked hopefully.

"That's a little difficult to do when she's still bawling her eyes out." Marali told them.

"She's still crying?" Snow asked, heartbroken. Marali and Neal nodded.

"When was the last time you checked on her?" Neal quizzed them. A guilty silence filled the room.

"You know what Emma's like. She prefers to get things out alone. She didn't want us hanging over her while she cried." Charming answered. Marali placed her head in her hands.

"No, she doesn't. She just doesn't know any other way of dealing with it because she always feels like you two are both too busy with us for her." Marali explained. "Before my little sister locks me in another closet, I'm begging you, go and talk to her."

"We all know she's right. Sure, she maybe didn't go about it in the best way, but Emma hasn't always got the attention she deserved. We all need to start putting her first." On that, the family was in agreement. Snow and Charming left Marali and Neal to go to Emma's room. They were unsurprised to find that they were correct, Emma was indeed still crying.

"Emma?" Snow asked, knocking on the door.

"Go away!" Emma demanded. Normally, Snow and Charming would have done what she asked, but not today.

"No, sweetheart. We're not leaving here until we've at least begun to sort this all out." Charming told her as both he and Snow came into the room. This was their chance to step up and be the parents that Emma needed. This time, they weren't going to let her down.
