After half an hour of exploring every nook and cranny of his new Home, Sora finally decided on the rather large basement for the summoning ritual later that evening. With that in mind he left the Home to gather supplies for the ritual. After exploring the city for a few hours to give himself a mental map of the city, he visited shops and gathered what he needed, making sure to grab food and other household supplies and clothing alongside the ritual supplies to mask suspicion.

With that done and the sun setting he went back to the Home to prepare the ritual. Once home Sora got to work slowly and carefully drawing out the [Summoning Circle] that the Grimoire pulled from the connection he had to the Grail via his [Command Seals].

"Do I really have to do a [Chant] to summon a Servant?" Sora honestly didn't see the point in it.

'It raises the chance of a successful summoning considerably. Chants are also helpful in most Magecraft.' The Grimoire wrote out while floating next to him.

"I guess if it's necessary. But I'll add my own touches to it."

"With an Origin of Anomaly and Swords."

Accessing Servant Database

"Boundaries and the Archduke of Contracts are the cornerstone."

Checking for summoning Catalyst

"Mine Ancestor is the God-King Shiro."

Catalyst: Avalon found

"The Alighted Wind becomes a Wall."

Error, Servant: Artoria Pendragon has already been summoned in the Saber Class. Current Master: Sora Taiyo

"As this repeats five times."

'Hmmm?' A pair of red eyes opened in a void.

"Shatter each time."

'I'm being called upon?'

"My declaration is this."

'So, you seek to be my Master do you?'

"Your Life is mine, my Fate(Survival) is in your Staff."

"In Accord with the Holy Grail, if you seek to have your wish granted, then answer my call."

'My Wish? How long has it been since I wished for anything but Death?'

"My Oath is this."

"I am the one who shall Ascend to Steal the Throne of Heaven with those who would serve me."

'Oh?'

"I am the one who shall Descend to Steal the Throne of Hell atop the still bodies of those who would oppose me."

'How Ambitious.'

"You, who shall be by my side by the will of the three words of power."

'To seek to Steal Heaven and Hell from those who have ruled those domains since the dawn of time!'

"Arrive via the will of me alone, the ring of deterrence shall not stop us."

'If it's with a Master like you. Then I believe I can go with Life for a little longer.'

"The keeper of the broken balance."

'Very well then, I accept this contract.'

Sora covered his eyes as the [Summoning Circle] lit up the room at a near blinding intensity, the room filling with Prana as his MP dropped to fuel the ritual. With a boom and a cloud of smoke the blinding light vanished, plunging the room into darkness for a split second before his eyes refocused. As the smoke vanished and the figure of the servant he summoned became visible. Sora looked upon the servant that he summoned and his vision was filled with purple.

"Servant Caster." A husky but not sensual female voice pierced the silence, immediately drawing Sora's attention to her face. "I have come to abide by the contact set forth by the Grail. And so I must ask you." Her red eyes gazed at his soul, but he met them without fear.

[Scathach-Skadi - Lv?]

"Are you my Master?"

~~~Elsewhere~~~
A man with brown hair and dark eyes rose from his bed as the grail informed him in his capacity as the overseer of the war that the final servant had been summoned. His eyes glinted with a dark amusement as a blond man with red eyes walked into the room with a poise that said nothing could harm him.
"So it's finally begun again." The dark haired man began, though the blond man said nothing.
"Then in my capacity as Overseer of The Fifth Fuyuki Holy Grail War. The Holy Grail War Begins Now!"
Though he did not know it. An eighth servant was being summoned to act as the overseer in his place by the grail. After all...
Sora Taiyo felt so much more interesting.
~~~Several other places~~~

Multiple heads snapped up at once. Each one knowing that the war they had been waiting for since their Command Seals had burned onto their hands had finally begun.

~~~? Manor~~~
"Finally!" A black haired girl in pigtails pumped her fist as her Servant appeared out of astralization behind her. "Now that the war has officially begun we can start hunting down the other Masters and their Servants. Let's go Lancer!"
"Of course Master." Her Servant answered her as she picked her up and jumped onto the rooftops nearby.
~~~? Estate~~~

"Berserker?" A white haired little girl hugging a pillow asked the air around her, and a hulking mass of muscles appeared in a flash of blue. "You'll always protect me. Right?"

"HRNG." While unable to properly speak because of his Class Skill, Berserker's grunt was clearly that of an affirmative. You could see the sheer amount of care for the little girl behind the madness clouding his eyes.

"Thank you." She said through the sobs that were beginning to come out as the reality set in that she had killed her brother. She had only wanted to scare him into revealing why her father had abandoned her for him. He was her only connection to the father that she had hoped still loved her after all this time. Only to find out that her father was deathly ill in the last few years of his life. Likely unable to come get her even if he wanted too.

Sobs filled the room throughout the night as her servant stood as a silent vigil.

~~~An Abandoned Manor~~~
"Archer." A calm and collected voice called out to the man beside her, her short pink hair almost seeming to glow in the moonlight seeping in through the window she was looking out. "You can feel it right? A dark presence is moving towards us. Though it isn't moving fast it's definitely coming right for us. Prepare for a fight."
"Yes Master" Archer was surprised with her master. She was far sharper than any human had the right to be. And as she pulled out her bow she and her Master jumped back as the wall in front of them caved in.
~~~? Estate~~~

"Rider? Assassin?" A girl with dull eyes and purple hair stared down at the fresh corpses of her adopted Grandfather and brother. Through some cruel twist of fate both her and her brother were chosen as Masters, despite him not having any magic circuits. She was forced to bear the burden of supporting two servants, forcing her to go through alternate methods of gaining prana then letting it regenerate, or letting her brother force himself on her on their Grandfather's orders. She tore her eyes from the corpses and looked at the newspaper on the nearby table that her brother had been using to torment her.

"Brave young man carries heavily injured Teen and Woman to the Hospital and collapses from exhaustion in front of the building."

'Sora Taiyo, age 16, carried Shirou Emiya, age 17, and Elise Watson, age 33, to the Hospital out of a fear the one who assaulted them was still nearby and didn't want to alert them by calling the authorities. It appears that Elise came with the intention of surprising an old friend with a visit while in town for business, as she remarked after waking up 3 hours after her rescuer was discharged from the hospital. The old friend in question is Kiritsugu Emiya, the late father of the now deceased Shirou Emiya, who died of internal bleeding from a punctured lung while he was being carried to the hospital. Neither of them had their wallets on them, so this is currently believed to be a mugging gone wrong by the police.'

"Find out where this Sora Taiyo lives, I want to know what he knows about Senpai's death." Sakura would rather just have him killed, but on the off chance he was innocent and genuinely tried to save Shirou she would stay her hand. After all, her Senpai would be mad at her if she hurt an innocent person.

"Yes Master." The pair of female servants quickly left the building in order to search the city. Neither of the two Servants wished to leave their Master alone. But the consequences of not finding the killer of the one their Master loved was too great to ignore. They would not fail the tormented girl that they called Master. If they did, they knew that she would shatter, and they would not accept that.

~~~Taiyo Residence the next morning~~~
Sora sat down a plate of eggs, sausage, and toast in front of himself and Skadi, who calmly started eating, despite not needing to as a Servant. Sora did as well, even though like his Servant he didn't need to either despite the flesh and blood body he had, it was merely a facsimile, a imitation of a human body like Ophis likes to use. He was sustained by the near endless energy that made up the true form of his body. Sora just wanted to eat food like he saw in the memories the Grimoire used to help him develop his mind.
"So, my Master, how will we proceed?" Skadi, who had decided against telling her Master her name, but suspected he somehow knew it anyways, was surprised by her Master when he calmly looked her in the eyes and confirmed the bond they now share. "Are we going to hunt down other Masters and their Servants immediately? Or are we going to acquire a Leyline to help us in our war?" She asked her Master. She knew that he would logically pick the Leyline, the part of her that was once the Queen of the Land of Shadows, wished to hunt them down and fight them to the death.
"We have a much more pressing concern then the Holy Grail War looming over the horizon Caster." Sora's voice was cold and his face stony. He was now wearing a black hoodie over a purple shirt, with black pants and black running shoes. "And if it's not dealt with soon then there won't be a grail war to be had. After all, not even a servant can withstand the onslaught of hundreds if not thousands of malicious spirits capable of draining the life and prana from the living." She wanted to doubt him, she really did, but the absolute seriousness and fear in his eyes was unmistakable.
"How do you know about this Master?" She knew what his answer was probably going to be. But in a situation as dire as the one he was presenting, as much information as possible was required.
"I've always been a bit more... spiritually sensitive then most." Sora began. "So when one day I felt a massive amount of energy as I passed by the Fuyuki Memorial Park, I got curious. And that curiosity nearly cost me my life." Sora was pleased to see that Skadi took his words as the truth. The healthy amount of fear and hatred that laced his words certainly might have helped. "They were sealed behind a barrier that kept them interacting with the material world. But when I entered the park the barrier had degraded enough overtime to allow them to drag me into it. The only reason I survived was because I managed to escape the boundary of the barrier."
"However some research and help from the Grimoire led me to the reason why there as so many malicious spirits in the park." Sora said, having told her the truth of the Grimoire, but not of his ability as a Gamer, or that he was foreign to this world, a prompt from the Grimoire made him not say anything about that. "The Fourth Fuyuki Grail War ended with the Grail being destroyed by the winner, for reasons I do not know. The result was the largest catastrophe Japan has seen in recent years. And thus the land scorched by the fire became cursed, whether by the spirits of those killed by the destroyed grail, or by the grail itself is unknown." And that certainly wasn't a lie. There was hardly any information on the events of each Grail war in the Grimoire, only that they happened and the [Ritual Craft] to summon Servants.
"The amount of spiritual energy is increasing rapidly. I would give it less than twenty-four hours until they break out into the real world. Without anyone to stop them they will kill everyone in this town, and possibly all of Japan if nothing is done. which is why once we retrieve Saber we will go to the church to meet the overseer and enlist the other Masters to aid us." As he said this he felt Saber's [Command Seals] heat up slightly and her voice was transmitted to his mind through the Master Bond.
'I guess my supposed savior is now my Master?' Her questioning voice came through the bond.
'Yes Saber, though I never intended for it, it appears you forced the bond on me in a desperate attempt to stay in this time period.' And he really hadn't. Sora had planned to use the [Command Seals(Saber Variant)] to summon a Saber Class Servant of his own. When he realized that he had a connection to Saber halfway to the hospital he thanked his good fortune, as he probably would have been immobilized by summoning two servants one after the other, as just summoning Skadi dropped his reserves by nearly two-thirds.
'I see, this hospital has told me that I will be let out in an hour as I have no serious injuries, so I will be at your side soon Master.' With her piece said she cut the connection and left Sora to his own thoughts.
"Change of plans Caster." Sora called out to his Servant. "We'll head to the Church immediately, as Saber has woken up and will be with us once she is discharged from the Hospital." Sora stood up and started moving towards the door, motioning Caster to follow him.
"Master? What happens if we fail to secure the cooperation of the other Masters?" Skadi presented this question as a test for him as she astralized and followed him outside the house to see if he was a coward or not.
"Then we fight alone. And we will most likely die. Our chances of failure are extremely high without the help of the other Servants. And even if we do secure their aid, Our chances are still less than optimal." With that in mind Sora took out his Reality Marble, not worrying about being seen as it was still early and not many people were awake yet. He opened the Grimoire and read the latest updates.
Sora wanted to complain. He really did. But in this case he knew that it was entirely his fault this happened and was willing to admit it.
How many Gamers died because they didn't think before speaking? Probably more than half.
After finishing the event log, Sora turned his head and looked around before deciding that no one was watching him and let the Grimoire go back to his [Reality Marble]. He picked up his pace towards the Church and made good time, arriving after only 38 minutes of walking. With the threat of extinction looming over him and the unknowing citizens of Fuyuki, Sora raised his arm and banged on the door.
And that's the chapter done.
It was a real piece of work, this chapter. I actually deleted it twice when I was writing it. This version was written in a single day over the span of 5 hours. The summoning chant was honestly the hardest part of this Chapter. It wasn't really necessary but I had to put it in after the amount of effort I put into it, having changed it 12 times before it became the chant you see here.
Also the Grail being able to pseudo communicate is the fault of Shiro raising the difficulty level of the world, and is a planned change in the Grimoire's Guide AU. And the different Servants are obviously the result of Shirou being killed, making Future Servant Emiya no longer exist in Sora's part of the omniverse. Thus changing the roster of servants in the war almost entirely. Since Shirou died, Rin never summoned Archer, and a bunch of other things changed but even more stayed the same. Which I'm going to leave for later. As that would spoil the fun for later.
Scathach-Skadi has a mix of the more viscious personality of Scathach Lancer amd her Caster form Skadi's more gentle personality in this world.
All things in this story are by design. I can and will screw with things here and there because its needed to make the story better.
Anyway! This is Ammy, Signing off. Please leave a Review, maybe a Favorite and Follow if you really liked it.
