Welcome to Chapter 5, some of you may be confused at the new name of the fic.

Previously I called it Grimoire's Guide to Making Reality Marbles, but now I have decided that while it will be something Sora eventually does, it won't be the focus of the story.

Sora has been altering Fate just by existing and doing his thing, so after some deliberation and a poll on Shiro's Discord, go join it and you'll eventually have a chance to talk with me about this and future works, we decided on this name. Welcome to A Grimoire's Guide to Altering Fate.

Higher Beings Writing in Grimoire/Chanting

Sora knocked on the door once again several minutes after the first knock, then froze as he allowed his [Negative Emotion Sense] to expand and found a mass of unending despair and agony in a closed off underground room connected to the Church. He grit his teeth in rage, both foreign and his own, as the anger of his two Servants bled over to him as they felt the despair like he did through the Master/Servant Bond.

'Don't do anything. I know both of you are mad, I am too. But we need their help. Once we've dealt with the looming threat of death for the entire city, I promise you that we will attempt to save them. But for now we have to ignore them.' Sora was angry at himself, because he could feel that they were children. And despite his general lack of care for others brought about by his [Minor Insanity: Sociopathy] Trait, Sora could feel a burning anger at whatever had brought them to the level of downtrodden acceptance and lack of hope they had. It reminded him of how he felt towards ever going back to the endless loneliness that was being a wandering soul.

Sora and Skadi subconsciously tensed as a feeling of darkness moved towards him from inside the church, the presence so small that without it moving he couldn't notice it. As the presence finally got to the door Skadi was ready to De-Astralize and attack it and Sora was ready to pull out Cross-Calibur and kill it regardless of the consequences of revealing the Noble Phantasm.

Sora and Skadi readied themselves to fight as the door slowly creaked open and the source of the darkness was revealed, the owner of it being a priest. "Greetings." The obviously fake priest before Sora called out from the doorway. "How may this humble servant of God help you?" Sora used observe on the obviously evil man in front of him.

[Kirei Kotmine Lv ??? {$!%$@$%@$@$#%%@}]

Looking at the title made Sora flinch a bit in pain. But despite his reluctance, Sora lifted up his right hand and pulled off the glove covering it, showing the [Command Seals(Caster Variant)] to the man in front of him. "My name is Sora, and as you can see I am the Master of Caster in this Grail War." Sora cut him off as he was about to respond to his claims of being a Master. "And I have an important issue to discuss with all of the magical residents of Fuyuki, Master or otherwise, as there is a threat to us that could potentially wipe out the entirety of Japan within the next 48 hours." The man in front of him immediately shifted his stance to one of seriousness. The dark amusement he could feel from him vanishing immediately.

"My name is Kirei Kotomine. Please come inside as I inform the other Masters." The man moved with haste back into the church, despite being as evil as he was at heart he was still a man of the cloth, and it was his duty to protect the normal world from the affairs of the Moonlit world. And if the threat was as big as Caster's Master had said. Then it was his duty to do everything in his power to prevent it. Sora looked carefully at the way Kirei moved and noticed that he was hiding a heavy limp.

Sora followed Kirei inside and took a seat at the table Kirei had directed him to as Kirei himself sat down across from him and closed his eyes. A few moments later a pulse went through both sets of his Command Seals as a message was sent. 'All Master/Servant pairs are not to fight for the next 48 hours. By the power gifted to me as the Overseer of this Grail War, this message is an order, all participating masters will gain an extra command seal for their trouble. All Master/Servant pairs are to immediately meet at the Church as a threat to the entirety of Japan has brought to my attention.'

'A messaging spell using the command seals as a catalyst? How clever.' Skadi's hate of this man did not stop her from giving minor praise.

"So." Kirei leaned forward. "Tell me more about this threat you spoke of." Sora was surprised that Kirei temporarily suspended the war with no evidence of his claims but posed a question of his own to Kirei instead of answering directly.

"Tell me Kirei..." Sora deflected, causing Kirei to narrow his eyes. "How many people died during the Fuyuki Fire ten years ago? How many begged and pleaded for their lives as the fire took them?"

Kirei quickly caught on to Sora's trail of thought, and the answers he found both amused and disturbed him. "Thousands. What are you implying?" Kirei asked Sora, deciding against beating around the bush for his own amusement.

"Each and every single person in the fire died cursing one person for surviving. The sole survivor of the fire, the late Shirou Emiya. Due to the magical nature of the fire, their rage and pain formed curses, and they became malicious spirits. Wraiths if you would." Sora paused to take a drink of tea, something Kirei noted he didn't have before. "And since that day, they were trapped behind a barrier of sorts and kept them in the day they died. For ten years, they suffered the same unending agony as they did as they burned to death. I know this because I was pulled into it by them and barely escaped death. I later learned that place was the Reverse Side of the World."

'The Reverse Side of the World' Kirei mused, his interest in Sora growing with this new knowledge. 'And somehow this boy in front of me survived in it, even for a few minutes before escaping. It is quite the accomplishment.'

"You are correct in your assumption of the level of the threat. And the timing is very unfortunate as well, as the Church and various Magus associations around the world are busy dealing with the fallout of one of the Wizard Marshals pranks." A bit of frustration leaked into Kirei's voice, dealing with anything that Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg did was considered a punishment, one he had been on the receiving end of more than once. And something on global scale like he did was just downright agonizing to even hear about. "The only reason that the other Masters of the War and I are still here is because of the Grail War."

Sora and Kirei switched to more mundane topics and kept talking until the door to the church was knocked on and Kirei went to answer it. A minute later he returned with a girl with purple hair and dead looking eyes. She looked at sora and for a moment her eyes lit up, but they quickly dimmed, looking even more dead than before. She moved the end of the table farthest from him and sat down shakily. Sora decided to observe the competition while he could.

[Sakura Matou - lv 41 {Magus} {Master of Assassin and Rider} {#%$$@%@%Y#$}

Hp (12,312/14,200)]

Sora's eyes widened as he saw the state of her health and he observed her again to make sure he wasn't hallucinating.

[Hp (12,298/14,200)]

Her health was ticking down at a slow but constant rate, and observe wouldn't tell him why .

'Caster?' Sora asked Skadi mentally.

'Yes Master?' She responded with a curious tone.

'Can you tell what's wrong with that girl over there?' Soea said as he directed a mental image of her to Caster.

"U-um hello?" A voice filled with barely hidden pain called from his left, coming from Sakura. "You're Sora Taiyo, right? The one that tried to save Emiya-Senpai? Your face was on the newspaper." Her eyes didn't look as dead as before, a flash of darkness gone in an instant as he locked eyes with her.

"I am." Sora didn't beat around the bush like he did with Kirei, feeling that it wouldn't end well. "I assume that you knew him well? What were you to him?" There was completely unhidden affection in her voice when she said the nickname she had for Shirou.

"I'm Sakura Matou, and I was nothing but a friend to Senpai. And... He taught me everything I know about cooking." There was a sense of longing in her words, as well as a large amount of bitterness. [Negative Emotion Sense] told him her emotional state was all over the place, staying almost completely in the negative side of the emotional spectrum.

'Master, this girl has worms in every part of her body except her vital organs. The worms are magical in nature, so they must be Crest Worms, a magical familiar that resides inside of hosts. For men they consume their flesh to make Prana, and for females... they consume flesh only when their prefered food is unavailable...' Skadi transmitted her thoughts to him.

'What is the prefered food of Crest Worms?' Sora felt her disgust over the bond they shared so it must be something bad.

'They feed on sexual fluids, Semen, Vaginal fluids, it does not matter as long as it contains magical energy. And when eating they produce an aphrodisiac to make sure she will crave intercourse, if only to obtain prana.' Skadi's tone was filled with disgust at the foul creatures. Sora felt his own disgust rise a bit. A worm eating someone's semen? If not for the mask of calm he had in place he would have gagged at the thought.

'Can you get rid of them?' Sora asked his Servant. The look in Sakura's eyes made something undefinable inside him throb, as if he was looking into a memory of a long forgotten time. Skadi went silent, so Sora resumed his conversation with Sakura.

"I suppose you want to know how he actually died instead of the version I cooked up for the police." Sora said, surprising Sakura as that flash of darkness returned, before her eyes widened as the realization that Sora was actually a Master as well. "You understand now. I wasn't a Master at that point, but I was resting on a bench when Shirou came flying at me and crashed into the side of the building behind the bench alongside his Servant a minute later."

"He was already on the verge of death when I grabbed him from the wall to keep him from getting crushed by his Servant. He died moments later. No amount of Healing Magecraft could have saved him, and I don't know any myself. So what assistance I could have given was limited." Sora was careful with his wording, saying nothing that would imply he killed Shirou, even by accident, while staying completely truthful.

"Senpai was a Master!?" Sakura's shout of surprise was near deafening, and Sora had shaken his head a bit to get rid of the ringing. The acoustics of the Church didn't help any, the echo making it worse.

"Yes." Sora continued after the ringing stopped. "He was the Master of Saber before he died. And Saber latched onto me in a bid to stay in the War." Sora took another drink of his tea, humming at the taste.

Sora paused as Skadi began speaking again.

'I've gone over it and there is a small chance that I can get rid of the worms inside of her. They aren't connected to anyone at the moment so the chance is much higher than normal. It will take a few days to prepare.' Skadi told him.

'What can I do to keep her alive until then?' Sora had a fair idea of what he should do, but it always pays to listen to an expert.

'You must raise her arousal in any way you can. Tease her, sleep with her, make her horny. Anything you can do to keep her either producing sexual fluids or giving her your own.' Skadi's tone held distaste at the thought, but it was clear from her tone he had no other option than to do it himself. She still had a spark of life in her. And he would be damned if he let a girl as attractive as her die.

"So... you're the Master of Saber now?" Sakura stated in a questioning tone.

"And Caster. I summoned her last night." Sora stated matter-of-factly, uncaring of revealing the fact he had two Servants, seeing as they will all be revealed within the next twenty-four hours.

"O-oh... How are you holding up then? Supporting two Servants that is?" There was a hunger in her voice now that wasn't there before. His [Negative Emotion Sense] picked up her growing lust.

'It's that easy?!' Sora thought in shock. 'No...' On closer observation it was the worms causing it to flare up faster than normal, Sakura had been conditioned by them and whatever had likely been done to her to respond better to advances.

"It's fairly easy." He said as her breathing got harder, his words, as basic as they were, fanning the lust he felt from her. He was rather disgusted by the fact that the things he wanted to get rid of were helping him, but her health had stopped dropping as an [Observe] revealed.

[Hp (10,896/14,200)]

It had dropped by over a thousand in just the short amount of time they had been talking. Knowing that she was being forced to crave Prana by the worms inside of her, Sora kept the conversation on his prana capacity and what he could do with it. By declaring his superior capacity, alongside the [Magic Circuits] Perk bonus to the female Magi seeing him as attractive, if only for his seed, she was unable to contain the urges pushed onto her by the Crest Worms.

'Wait...' Sora thought to himself. 'Does this mean I'm a chick magnet for independent female Magi?'

Sora spent an hour keeping Sakura in a state of arousal before the next Master arrived, though her health was going up, her mana had started dropping, though it was only a few points every few minutes.

A girl in with black hair entered the room to see the two chatting amicably. She huffed and sat down opposite of Sora, where the false priest had once sat.

A side glance and an [observe] told him her name.

[Rin Tohsaka Lv 56 {Magus} {Average One} {Master of Lancer}]

"And who might you be." The new girl asked in a rude tone. Sora let his skill pick at her emotional state, she was filled with suspicion, annoyance, and surprisingly, worry directed at Sakura. Sora had no idea why worry was considered a negative emotion, but there it was.

"My name is Sora." Sora said as he looked her over before nodding in approval. Rin felt his eyes roam her body and saw him nod, but for some reason it didn't disgust her like it would when Shinji did it, instead she felt flattered and a little excited for some reason she couldn't tell.

Sora's eyebrows raised as he felt a small burst of lust from Rin, an unexpected but pleasant surprise, but he couldn't help but wonder why. So he dug his hand into the pocket of his hoodie and pulled out a small book, titled 'Spirits Among Us'. This book was actually the Grimoire in hiding, though the book it was mimicking actually existed, it was a book on all kinds of spirits that Sora had found and read in the Home before he had summoned Skadi.

"Perks" Sora whispered after making sure both girls had attention off of him. He browsed through them for an answer, and eventually found one that the Grimoire hadn't shown in the event log.

[Avalon - EX Rank Noble Phantasm (Partially Awakened)

Sora raised an eyebrow at the effects but didn't let his shock show otherwise. What was the [Warm presence] Perk? And 30 affection to start with his other Servant? Sora took a moment to thank his abnormally high Luck Stat and all the Gods and Goddesses who have the Domain of Luck.

The Grimoire flipped a page and ominous words appeared 'WE ARE WATCHING CLOSELY'.

With a small shiver Sora made the decision to never invoke the name of any god ever again. He quickly flipped through the Perks section and found the [Warm Presence] Perk.

[Warm Presence

'You feel warm'. Others feel a comforting presence from you, leading them to put their trust in you. The broken and those with tragic pasts will find themselves drawn to you. Gained from Avalon.

Start with 20 Affection/Reputation with beings with the Traits [Broken, and [Tragic Past]

Start with 10 Affection/Reputation with beings with Positive Alignments

Start at -10 Affection/Reputation with beings with Evil Alignments]

'That's... rather broken.' Sora thought to himself. 'I wish it would explain alignments properly though. I would prefer to not have the negative affection level but I guess it makes some sense.' Sora over his perks and skills for a bit longer, looking for anything else that he hadn't seen before, but found nothing. With that done Sora took a look at his new Hp values and nearly gaped.

Hp (21,000/21,000) [1000 Regen every minute]

VIT - 70 [Hp=VITx50x3x2]

Sora was brought out of his stupor by the sound of fingers snapping next to his ears. He put Grimoire away and looked up to see two newcomers at the table, a little girl with white hair and an older but still quite young looking woman with dark pink, almost purple hair. Both had red eyes, though they differed in shade, the girl having bright red and the woman having dark red. The woman tried to hide it but he caught glimpses of bandages under the suit she was wearing.

Sora quickly used [Observe] before either of them began talking.

[Bazett Fraga McRemitz - Lv ??? {Enforcer} {Magus} {Novice Runecrafter} {Master of Archer}]

[Illyasviel Von Einzbern - Lv 44(74) {Magus} {Homunculus} {Master of Berserker}]

'Illyasviel Von Einzbern huh.' Sora pondered. 'So she's the one I had taken the fall for Shirou's death. I kind of regret it now that I can see how cute she is. But what is up with her level?' He decided to leave it for later and instead took notice of poorly concealed tear tracks on her face. A quick application of [Negative Emotion Sense] showed that she was filled with a lot of regret and hatred directed at herself.

"Hey kid." A voice knocked him out of his thoughts again and he looked towards the woman, Bazett. "Name's Bazett, and the brat next to me is Illya, what's yours." While it should have been a question, the way Bazett said it made it sound like a demand.

"Sora. Why didn't you ask either of the two beautiful young ladies next to you?" His question brought a blush to both Sakura and Rin's faces, both of them feeling embarrassed and flattered. The feeling only lasted for a few seconds before switching to slight anger in Rin, and self deprecation in Sakura.

"I make it a point to not ask questions to others when I can get my answer from the source." Bazett's voice was full of irritation and hidden pain, her inner emotions told him that the pain was far more than just physical though. The amount of betrayal she felt was immense, almost dwarfing the sense of loneliness she felt.

Sora was about to respond when he saw something interesting on her.

[Cu Chulainn's Earrings - C Rank Artifact

The Earrings that Cu Chulainn wore for most of his adult life all the way up to his death. These Earrings have seen all of his techniques and have been bathed in his Prana and blood. Though they ultimately failed to become a Noble Phantasm, the power they wield is not to be underestimated.

Grants Intermediate understanding of Spear Techniques and Basic understanding of Runecrafting when Equipped (Does not grant skills until proficiency is reached with knowledge)]

'So only understanding huh? I suppose it would be a bit over the top to just give skills out like candy.' Sora snorted before turning his attention back to the rest of the Masters in the room.

"Now that all of us are here. And yes I do mean all of us, I will tell you what's going on." Sora took in the surprise of the four girls before him as the false priest set down a plate with cups of tea on the table, and took a position at the table as well. Sora grabbed one and after a sip and mutter of thanks began.

"Two nights ago..." Sora began an edited version of the events that almost killed him moments into his entrance into this world. Mixing the truth and half truths, alongside the fabricated history he had in the world, he spun his tale, putting emotion into each word, making it more believable.

"This is indeed troubling..." Kirei voiced after Sora had finished, despite guessing how bad it was from Sora's earlier barebones explaination, the full story painted a much more dangerous picture.. "A large amount of Spirits held in the closest layer of the Reverse Side of The World, ready to break into ours at any moment."

"How do you even know that the Spirits are close to breaking into our world anyway!" A rude but clearly scared voice shouted out and everyone's attention centered on Rin.

"Because of Caster." Sora's voice cut through Rin's concern. "She was an expert on the Reverse Side of The World while she was alive." And she was indeed, the surprise transmitted through their bond was quickly smashed down by amusement as she deastralized behind Sora to the shock of the rest of the room. The grail had gifted him some background knowledge when he discovered Skadi's name.

"Indeed I was." Skadi said from the position she took behind him. Skadi let herself take some pleasure from their expressions before talking again. "And the threat my Master speaks of is very real. You would do well to never insinuate he would lie about such a thing ever again, girl." The fierceness with which Skadi defended his honor pleasantly surprised Sora, he hadn't expected that even the small amount of affection he had with her affected her this much.

Skadi's words and gaze tore through Rin's fragile accusation and she cowered slightly before remembering she had a Servant as well, causing her to gain back some confidence. "Then if you're an expert on the Reverse Side of the World, can't you just repair the damage?" Rin's question brought thoughtful faces to the people in the room aside from Sora and Skadi.

"With the amount of time I've had since I was summoned? Even if I had started immediately, I would have needed another full day to repair any damage done to the boundary. No, the only thing we can do is fight." Skadi's words chilled the room, the reality of the situation that Sora knew from the start having begun to sink into those around him.

"I would recommend you all return to your homes and prepare to fight for your lives." Kirei cut through the tense atmosphere in the room with his blunt words. "I will meet you all at the park in 12 hours." And Kirei left the room. Bazett was the next one to get up, leaving right after Kirei did. Rin left next, and Sakura took the opportunity to follow her, fleeing from the horrible atmosphere in the church.

Sora got up and started to leave but was stopped by Illya. "What do you want?" Sora kept the minor annoyance he felt at being stopped out of his voice. Illya just stared at him for a few moments before opening her mouth, but no words came from her. She tried a few more times to say something, but after about a minute gave up and walked past him. He felt the frustration and self hate flowing off her as she left but made no effort to follow her and merely went back to his residence.

'Skadi, I'm going to need you to teach me as much as you can in the next twelve hours' He felt her confusion and clarified. 'Despite my confidence in the church I have no knowledge of magecraft outside of what the grail has given me. The moonlit world is completely new to me' He felt Skadi's confusion shift into surprise and then slight excitement and annoyance. He knew that Scathach had an enjoyment of teaching, but the annoyance came from the fact he neglected to tell her that fact that he knew next no magic.

With a grin of anticipation at learning magic and finally putting his absurd numbers to use, Sora ran back home.

...

Oh boy, there were so many setbacks on this chapter.

It sat at 70% done for two weeks before I got back to it because I was too busy with stuff, both personal and business.

And on my first free day in awhile I spent 10 hours straight grinding out the Prisma Codes event on Fate: Grand Order, 78 out 100 mission completed, and then went to sleep, I made a lot of progress on the 4th but accidentally hit no don't save when I clicked exit instead of minimize on the document because my dog jumped on my lap while I went to click it and it was finally finished today.

Anyway. I hope you enjoyed the chapter, because it was honestly kinda difficult to work on at the end because I lost the steam I had built up while writing it from 0%-70%.

If I had a few more hours to write that day this would have been out on the 15th of last month.

Review and leave a Fav or Follow if you like the chapter.

Ammy out.
