That night, Sina thinks about Chishiya a lot. He wasn't exactly mean to her, he was just honest. It still hurts and she wants to punch him really hard, and at the same time she'd give everything for a hug. It's so weird, the roller coaster of emotions that he brings to her.

Sina can't deny the truth in his words. That it would be better for her to fall in love with someone else, with someone who would be able to return those feelings. She'd get everything she wanted – sweet words, hugs and kisses and what not. But it is also true that falling in love with someone else is not easy as soon as one's heart has decided on a special person.

And if she's honest to herself, Sina just doesn't want to have feelings for someone else. She wants him, just him. Chishiya. Even though it will probably kill her.

While rolling from side to side in her bed, Sina even thinks about just walking into his hotel room. She knows where it is, she has secretly followed him once or twice to see where he sleeps. And if he sleeps alone.

A part of her wanted to see if there are any women sharing his bed – or maybe even men – but he seemed to have been honest to Sina when he said that he doesn't care about physical or emotional love. Though she'd want to change that.

Just how is she supposed to do it?

Sina decides against going to his room in the end. She wants to gain his feelings, not become a complete stalker. Even though it means that she won't see his sleeping face, probably calm like an angel. The picture of his features appears on her mind, his eyes closed and lips slightly open. His blonde hair is ruffled as he moves from one side to another, and Sina aches to touch the smooth skin of his cheeks.

But it is nothing more than a daydream, not even as real as the dream she's had before about that almost kiss.

One day, Sina says to herself. One day, she'll feel those lips on hers. No matter what.

It is funny how the human mind can change. Only a few days ago, Sina was mostly pitying herself for falling in love with Chishiya. Now that's still what she does, but at least she has a goal in mind and the positivity to reach it.

There have been tiniest steps already. The car drive, and whatever the bottle thing was. There can be more, and Sina knows it. Small victories.

She doesn't even care if Chishiya just plays with her, because it would still be a good thing for her. Sina would rather be a puppet that feels loved than a heartbroken person with no one to look up to.

After too many sleepless nights, she really should get some rest. And yet the thoughts keep Sina busy, and again she gets out of bed in the middle of the night. She doesn't even care to put on a shirt, because most likely there won't be any people and even if; her underwear isn't much different from the swim clothes people are forced to wear here.

The night has cooled down noticeably, and Sina feels the air cool her skin while still strolling through the corridors of the hotel. Most of the rooms are silent, some just barely hide treacherous noises. Sina doesn't even know where it leads her, and she doesn't watch her surroundings as her feet seem to move on their own.

When a door opens right next to her, Sina almost jumps out of her skin and stumbles against the wall behind her.

Chishiya stands in the doorframe of his room, his hands raised to pluck in the pods of his earphones, and for a moment, he looks as perplexed as Sina is. But that quickly changes and he raises his brows, dropping the earpods and stuffing his hands inside the hoodie pocket while the door closes behind him.

"You again." Is all he says, and Sina can't help but stare at the slightly tousled hair. The hoodie is only half closed and gives sight of his bare chest, and she assumes that he has just gotten out of bed too.

"I, uhm…" Sina blushes and desperately searches for an explanation while she's standing in front of Chishiya's room in the middle of the night. Just as he is about to leave. Not suspicious at all, and she can't believe her feet really brought her here. "I… can't sleep. Thus I wanted to visit the rooftops."

Chishiya gives her a snort and looks up and down the corridor to underline his words. "This is the complete opposite direction."

"Guess I got lost?" Sina's heart beats fast and her brain doesn't seem to work properly. It's definitely too late for her to be still awake, and she is completely overwhelmed with seeing Chishiya so soon again.

He sighs and starts moving. "This way."

Is he really leading her to the roof? Without any more explanations?

Sina quickly follows him, never taking her eyes off his back as he wordlessly leads her to the staircase that will lead to the roof. He walks fast and doesn't make sure if she is able to follow him, and Sina is out of breath when she walks through the glass door that leads to the roof.

The night sky is absolutely beautiful, and while Tokyo is mostly dark, Sina can see so many stars! This city used to be awake day and night, full of light and noise, and it has never given her the chance to enjoy such a view before she was sent to the Borderlands.

"Look at this!" she exclaims while putting her arms around her. It's colder out here than she had expected, and Sina regrets now not putting on any more clothes.

Chishiya is stoll standing too, and it seems as if he doesn't want to sit down this time. Sina wonders if he had planned to go here too, or if he has just accompanied her so she won't stroll around his room anymore. Which definitely wasn't planned, she tells herself.

He doesn't seem to pay attention to Sina right now, and she enjoys the sight of his thoughtful figure in the moonlight. It warms her heart because he allows her to be near him. It's another small victory for her, and this time, she even welcomes the army of butterflies.

"Do you ever sleep, Chishiya?" she eventually asks, because most of the times she has met him alone, it had been in the night.

Chishiya swings on his heels as his eyes meet hers. They're mocking her again, and Sina expects some disdainful comment to come next, but for some reason, she doesn't even bother.

"Only as much as I need to. People are vulnerable while sleeping. Though you definitely seem to need a bit more, judging by the rings around your eyes."

"I couldn't sleep, and I needed some fresh air."

Another snort , and the corner of his mouth raise into a sneering grin. "At least you should have been smart enough to put on some clothes."

"Can't disagree with that", Sina mumbles while she tries to rub her goose bump-covered arms to warm them up. "Hey, Chishiya! Can I have your hoodie?"

"No."

The answer comes quickly and without any emotion, but it still makes Sina laugh. "Well, it was worth a try."

Only his slightly questioning look makes her realize that she has spoken it out loud. And that makes her laugh even more. It's probably the fault of her overtired brain, and it even seems to make her reckless.

"Can… can I have a hug then?"

He bears this special look on his face, the one that Sina just can't get enough of. Where his lips are scarcely parted and his eyebrows are raised in his always condescending way, and there is a chance that she might have taken him by surprise with her feeble-minded questions.

"Go ahead", he sighs, standing still like a stone. Sina can't believe that he agrees to that, and she tries not to squeak like a little child. With her breath quickening, she walks up to him and wraps her arms around his body. It's like the car drive a few days ago, maybe even better.

Sina buries her fingers inside the fabric of Chishiya's hoodie and inhales this peculiar and distinct scent of his. The warmth chases away the shudders that the cold night air caused her, and this is another moment where Sina just wants to stop the time forever.

Chishiya doesn't move at first, but then Sina feels how he takes one of his hands out of his hoodie and how he puts it on her back. The sensation of his warm touch on her naked skin is almost too much for Sina to bear, and she buries her face inside the gab where the zipper of his hoodie is opened. Her lips gently touch the unbelievably soft skin of his chest, and it's better than heaven.

"You're stupid." Chishiya mumbles into her hair, and Sina can't help but chuckle.

"Thanks."

"That wasn't meant as a compliment."

The touch of his hand is already becoming less intense, and Sina knows that this hug will come to an end soon.

"Chishiya… can we meet again tomorrow?" Her sound is muffled through the hoodie's fabric, and she feels him muff more than she hears it.

"Why?"

"Because I enjoy it. So… same time, but down at the pools?"

Sina feels him shake his head, probably in disbelief about her stupidity.

"But get on some clothes then."

Something inside her screams and jumps and dances as Sina almost bursts with joy. She deeply inhales his scent again, memorizes the feeling of his hand on her back and the smooth skin that touches her cheek. "Can't believe we're having a date!"

Chishiya removes his hand immediately and takes a step back, but not without exhaling an annoyed sigh. Sina has again spoken out her thoughts loud, even though she should have kept that last sentence for her.

"It's not a date. As I said before, this means nothing."

"Maybe not for you." Even though Sina is sad that this soft moment is over, she can't wait for the next night to come. With the last bit of overconfidence she has, Sina clasps his shoulders and brushes his cheek with her lips. She steps away herself before Chishiya can push her aside, and she doesn't even care that he is obviously annoyed because the butterflies inside of her rumor too strongly to bother.

Sina has a huge and stubborn grin on her face while almost running back to the door, and she is too busied with her thoughts that she doesn't see the empty bottle lying on the floor, and before she can react, she already sees the ground coming towards her face.

"Careful, bottle." She hears Chishiya's mocking voice as she tries to regain her balance, and even though the fall has hurt a bit, the grin doesn't leave her face and she sticks out her tongue towards him. "Jackass!"

"Thanks." He waves at her without even looking, while Sina manages to run into the glass door instead of opening it.

"That wasn't meant as a compliment!" she shouts back to him, and she continues to grin all the way back to her room. Small victories, Sina reminds herself, and she's sure that even though morning is about to come, she will sleep soundly like she never did before.
