Saviour left behind
inlovewiththecharmings asked for a oneshot of Hyde not allowing Emma to come back from the Underworld and Charming having to tell Snow.
Charming felt numb as he slowly trudged through Storybrooke towards the loft apartment. How had this gone so horribly wrong? His head was ringing as he opened up the door. Snow was standing in the living room holding Neal. She turned around and her face lit up when she saw her husband. She came running over to him and wrapped her arms around him.
"Your home." She said emotionally. Charming nodded against her. How was he going to do this? Snow pulled back.
"Where's Emma and Henry?" She said, grinning as she looked behind him. Charming didn't answer. He just stared at her. Snow looked at him and realised something was wrong. The smile slowly faded from her lips. She gently placed Neal back down in his crib. "Charming, where are Emma and Henry?" She asked again more seriously. Charming took Snow's hands.
"Henry's fine. He's with Regina." Charming began. Snow's heart was now in her mouth.
"So…where's Emma?" Snow wasn't sure she was ready to hear the answer, and neither was Charming.
"She…I…Snow." Charming began before breaking down in tears. "We were all at the portal. It was just us left. She was coming with me, Snow, I swear. I was holding her hand. I climbed through and Emma should have been right behind me, but she was blocked. I didn't have much time to see what was happening, I was already too far through to stop. Hades, he was standing beside her smiling. He wouldn't let her come home. I just left her there, Snow! I abandoned our daughter and I left her with the King of the Underworld!" Charming said, heartbroken. Snow didn't know how to process this. Emma…
"None of this is your fault." She told Charming. "He tricked you, it could have just as easily been me. We're not abandoning her, not again. I spent twenty eight years separated from her, I refuse to do it again. We will find another way back to the Underworld, and we will bring Emma home with us." Snow said, determined. Charming nodded, shaking himself. He didn't have time to feel sorry for himself. He had to think of Emma right now. Was she scared? Did she think they'd just abandoned her? He hoped not. He hoped Emma had been with them long enough now to know that there was not a single chance they would leave her down there and not come rescue her. Hades had messed with the wrong family. He would regret even thinking of taking their daughter when they were through.
