Not like Neal- part 2
Torie714 asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch3069 "Not like Neal" where Emma is still a little upset and Neal has to figure out a way to apologise.
After a while, Snow and Charming had spoken to Neal and explained why comparing his childhood to his sister's made her so upset. He understood more when they talked to him about it, and that made him feel really guilty about how mean he'd been to her. Snow and Charming had also spoken with Emma. They knew she wasn't entirely healed from all the things Neal had said, but she was trying. She understood Neal was just a child and it wasn't really his fault, but that didn't mean she wasn't entitled to her own feelings. Snow and Charming made sure Neal understood that, at the end of the day, he had said the things to Emma, it was up to him to try and make it right.
Neal was just a small boy. He didn't have access to lots of money. He couldn't drive Emma anywhere or even make her dinner. He couldn't even write her a card. He had already tried saying I'm sorry lots of times, but she was still clearly upset.
In the end, Neal found only one thing that helped make Emma less sad: his pictures. He couldn't go back and time and let his big sister experience all the things with their parents he was getting to, but he could draw them for her. So he drew lots of things for Emma, but included their parents. Her first day of school. Her first steps. Her first words. Everything he could think of. Then, when he was done, he gave all the pictures to Emma. Only then did Emma seem less sad.
