There has to be something about serial killers and storage units Emily thought, chuckling to herself as they got out of the SUV getting ready to raid the building. "What's so funny Princess?" asked Morgan, looking puzzled as he walked over to help adjust the straps on the kevlar vest that Emily began to put over her head. "You'd assume they give these creeps some kind of discount" she went to pull the ponytail out from under the back of the vest, glancing and walking over to the rest of the team and SWAT by the entrance to the facility. "Statically speaking over 82 percent of people who have a storage unit use it to conceal something they wish to be kept secret." Spencer piped up looking at the two as the leader of the local SWAT and Hotch came to speak to the team.
The team had spent the last week looking for an UnSub who kidnapped and tortured women in their 20's. All were athletic with blonde hair and fair skin, the profile gave away that this suspect was a white male in his late 20s to early 30s, who drove a large truck or SUV and worked a low class yet sophisticated job. After Garcia looked into the victim's lives she found that the companies all three women worked for used the same hotline for mental help and the same employee talked to all three victims. Joshua Hughes was a twenty-seven-year-old man who lived in the middle of Reid's geographical profile between the dumpsites and workplaces of the victims. After catching the small break Garcia found that Hughes had a storage unit three miles equidistant from the dumpsites and the team quickly made their way over there while the local police raided his home. Emily realizing she zoned out quickly caught up in the conversation hearing the voice of her superior.
"If we're done with storage statistics, Officer Johnson and his team are ready," their Unit Chief said coldly, turning everyone's attention to the man standing next to Hotch getting ready to go over the plan. "Sorry to meet under these circumstances everybody but as Agent Hotchner said we're ready to breach." After splitting the team up Emily, Derek as well as a handful of SWAT headed through the back entrance to the South hall, Gideon and Reid in the East Hall, and Hotch and Officer Johnson in the North. "Hughes' unit is coming up on our right, me and the kid are approaching now," Gideon said into his earpiece waiting for the response of the rest of his team. "Emily and I are on the other side heading towards there now, SWAT is covering the hallway and the exit in case he tries to run" Derek looked at her making eye contact getting ready to turn the corner. Meeting in front of the unit the team was surprised when everyone was there except their leader. Immediately everyone could feel something was off and Emily had this terrible feeling in her gut. "Hotch where are you man?" Morgan half screamed into the earpiece, if it wasn't for the suspense one of the agents would have yelled at him for blowing out their eardrums.
"Aaron, Johnson, one of you say something," Gideon said, waiting for a response. "We can't wait any longer," Spencer said, getting ready for Morgan to roll up the door and breach the unit. As Derek got ready to roll the door Gideon began running back towards the North hall heading back towards the closest thing he had to a son as well as one of his oldest friends. " Gideon!" Emily yelled heading after him knowing the older agent might need backup. Before she turned the corner to catch up all she heard was Gideon call out to Hotch and a series of gunshots.
