Charming's night out
Kate asked for a oneshot of drunk Charming interacting with Emma and Snow.
It wasn't often Charming had a guy's night out anymore. If he was honest, it was something he had little interest in. He preferred being with his family. Sometimes though, he allowed himself to let his hair down and have some time with the guys. He didn't get to see the dwarves very often anymore. He was always at the station, and they were always working away in the mines making sure magic never ran out. When they told him they were all going out to the Rabbit Hole on Saturday night for a night out, he was originally hesitant. Snow, however, had convinced him he needed some time with his friends. He hadn't been out once since Neal was born, this was his chance. Deep down, Charming agreed. So he went off and enjoyed his time with his old friends.
Unfortunately, Charming forgot how much dwarves could drink. He also forgot that, since he hadn't drank in a while, his tolerance was down. By the end of the night it took Anton, Sleepy and Sneezy to get him home.
Emma had stayed in and had a girl's night in with her mom. It was her who saw her dad being supported by the dwarves to their door.
"I think dad's had a better time than he expected." She laughed, letting her mom see. Snow smiled. So it would seem. Snow then quickly opened the door so nobody rang the bell and woke Neal. Charming smiled lazily when he saw her.
"There she is guys!" He announced. "My beautiful wife!" Snow smiled, but tried to shush him at the same time so he didn't wake the baby.
"Sorry, Snow." Sneezy said. "We thought he was doing ok."
"Apparently we were wrong." Sleepy said through a yawn. This was way passed his bedtime.
"You humans really are lightweights." Anton said curiously as the dwarves helped David over to the couch. "For creatures that handle swords so well, you'd think liquor would be no contest."
Once Charming was safely settled on the couch, the dwarves left Snow and Emma to deal with him and got themselves home.
"And there's my little girl." Charming slurred in a stage whisper. "Snow, ain't she pretty?"
"Yes, Emma's very pretty. Now come on, we need to get you into some pyjamas before you pass out."
"Oh, are you trying to get me naked?" Charming said with a giggle. "I like it when you get me naked."
"Okayyyyy, and that's my cue to leave." Emma said, getting up. Charming giggled some more before quickly pulling Emma into a tight hug.
"I love this kid." He announced, kissing her forehead. Emma smiled. In her past, drunk men had been a terrifying experience. This was surprisingly pleasant.
"Happy hangover, dad." She said before also giving her mom a hug and leaving. Charming turned and grinned at Snow.
"I believe you were going to get me naked?" He said. Snow laughed, giving him a quick kiss.
"I am helping you get into some pyjamas so you can sleep." Snow corrected him. As she suspected, Charming was hardly in the pyjamas before he was out. Snow brought him a blanket and a glass of water for the morning. He was probably going to need it.
