Fernanda asked for a oneshot of Snowing finding drugs in Emma's bedroom. Set when Emma is a teen in our world. We can say she broke the curse early or something haha.
Snow and David knew that this was bound to be a stressful time for Emma. Exams were not known to be fun. Up until recently, they'd seen the typical signs of a stressed-out Emma. Stroppiness, eating less, the occasional tearful night. Now though, nothing. If anything, Emma was probably eating more than normal and a bit of the giggly side. At first, Snow and David were just happy Emma seemed to be coping better and had the faith in herself that they had in her…but then they started to notice the smell. That's when they couldn't deny it anymore. Emma had turned to other means to deal with the stress. When she was at her friend's house, they had a quick sweep of her room and found the evidence they were looking for. When she came home, it was time to confront her.
Emma's eyes went wide when she came into the living room and saw her parents sitting down with the little baggy in front of them.
"Sit down please Emma." Charming asked her calmly. Emma did as she was told.
"We take it you're not going to be silly and deny this is yours?" Snow asked. Emma shook her head. "Good. So we can talk about it. Emma, what are you doing with cannabis?"
"It's the only thing I could find to help the stress. I wasn't sleeping, wasn't eating, how was I meant to study for these exams? One of the kids at school is known to sell it, so I used my allowance to get some. I found it really helped and I haven't stopped." Emma explained. She had always been able to be honest with her parents since they were reunited. She knew it was better than a screaming match.
"Well, we at least know how we'll be dealing with part of the issue. As of right now your allowance will go into your savings account to be accessed once your exams are over." Charming informed her. "We know this is stressful, Emma. We wish you had come and spoken to us and we would have tried to find a more appropriate way to support you. Once you're twenty one we respect that you can make your own decisions about your health. Until then, whilst you live under this roof, it's our job to help you make the best decisions. Taking any kind of drug in this situation is not the best way to deal with it. Yes, cannabis has lower risks than other drugs you might have turned to to cope, but there are still risks. You can still become addicted, then there's things like paranoia to think about. Not to mention what might have happened if you were caught buying this at school. No matter how much it calms you down, if you're caught with it on school premises you'll be expelled and your exams won't matter a hoot." " Charming said seriously. Emma understood what he was saying.
"Is this all you have?" Snow asked. Emma nodded. "Your father will expose of it properly down at the station. We know you're stressed, Emma, and we don't want to add to it. We see the temporary lack of allowance as a fitting enough punishment given the circumstances, but we hope this is the last we hear of this." Snow warned her. Emma thought she was getting off pretty lightly, so she didn't complain. True, she wasn't thrilled at not having her new coping mechanism, but she would find a new one that wasn't illegal.
