Ultimate sacrifice- part 2

Pearsons asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch3090 "Ultimate sacrifice" where Snowing just hold their daughter while they still can, feeling sorry they couldn't protect her.

Like I said, I'm doing my best to say yes to as many requests as I possibly can, but I won't write another sequel to this one as I need to look after my own mental health as well and some of these requests are getting darker and darker…

Snow and Charming couldn't believe this had happened to them. They had been tricked. Had they known this is what Rumplestiltskin had seen, that Emma would break the curse through her death…they would never had put her through that wardrobe. Now here they were, holding their dead daughter's body.

Emma was growing colder. No matter how much they wanted Emma to come back to them, no magic, no power of love, was going to return Emma to them.

"How did this go so wrong?" Snow asked through tears so thick they blurred her vision. "Why didn't I save her, Charming? I lived with her for weeks. She even told me Henry said she was my daughter. I should have woken up. I should have protected her from this…" Snow couldn't speak any more.

"You didn't do this Snow. I'm the one who put her through the wardrobe in the first place. I should have kept her. I should have fought those guards and just held onto her. Then she would still be a baby. We might all still be cursed, but Emma would still be alive. I failed her before she even came to the land without magic…"

"We both made that decision." Snow choked. "I practically made you bring Emma here because we thought she'd have a better chance. We didn't know this was how it would end." Snow reminded him. They both looked down at Emma's lifeless form, broken at what should have been.
