War of messy foods

Ilovewiththecharmings asked for a oneshot of Snowing returning home to find a messy Emma and Henry having a food fight. They order them to clean everything up, including themselves. They actually think it's adorable and love to see Emma acting young and carefree.

"Duck!" Henry yelled as his grandparents came in the door. Instinctively, both Snow and David did as their grandson commanded. Just in time for a load of saucy spaghetti to fly over their heads.

"What is going on?" Snow asked. Why did their living room, no, their whole home now look like a warzone?

"Oh, hey guys, you're home early." Emma said sheepishly, appearing from behind the couch. "I was just keeping the kids entertained."

"How exactly?" David asked her. Emma was about to try and spin an answer that sounded better than the reality when Henry cut in.

"With a magical food fight!" He answered excitedly. "All the messy foods in the whole world have become our ammo." He said. Snow and David looked between the mucky pair and the war they had raged throughout their home.

"Well, as you may know, all magic comes with a price." He said calmly. "For you two, that will come in the form of clearing up your little rainy day activity sans magic." He warned them.

"Come on guys, it'll take me two seconds to clear it all up with my magic…"

"No, no magic. This wasn't a suitable activity to do and you both know it." Snow said. "Go into the kitchen and fetch yourselves a sponge and some soapy water. Once you've cleaned the house, you'll need to have a shower each as well. On you go then." Snow told them. Emma and Henry both shuffled off to the kitchen. Once they were both safely out of sight, David and Snow allowed themselves to grin.

"How cute did they both look?" David whiserped. Snow nodded in agreement.

"Simply adorable. It's lovely to see Emma get to reclaim some of her lost youth. She looked so happy hiding behind that couch. My heart melted, Charming." Snow added. David chuckled lightly.

"Well, this clear up can also be counted as a missed experience: the punishment." He joked. Snow laughed. Yes, they didn't want their house turned into a pig sty, but it was lovely to see both their daughter and grandson bonding and having a good time. Maybe next time they'd find a more appropriate way to do so.
