Your mother's ring
A guest asked for a oneshot of Snowing having a similar meeting to Flynn and Rapunzel. So I've switched up a few details.
"Finally." David sighed, holding the little ring. Why was Rumplestiltskin so eager to get hold of just one ring? Before David could ponder the weird situation any further, he felt a sharp jab in the back of his head, and then everything went black.
When David woke up, his head was splitting. He winced. That had hurt! He tried to feel the wound, but found he was bound to the chair.
"Who are you?" A voice asked. David looked up. Princess Snow! He grinned at her in his usual charming fashion.
"Hi, how you doing?" He asked her. "My name's David. I was just doing a little message…"
"Robbery." Snow corrected him. David chuckled.
"Well, you could say that. I think I'll stick with message." He responded. "It's just one ring. Surely you'd never miss it? I promise I haven't taken anything else."
"You don't need to. That ring belonged to my mother." Snow said coldly. David panicked internally, but hoped he didn't show it.
"I see." He croaked. Smooth. "Well, I'm sure you have other objects of hers? Really, it's just the ring I'm interested in." Snow's eyes narrowed.
"There are far more valuable treasures in the palace. Why do you want a ring? I'll know if you're lying." Snow warned him, holding up her weapon from earlier.
"Really, a rolling pin?"
"Well, it worked the first time." Snow pointed out, coming forward with it.
"Ok, ok, ok." David said quickly. She had a point about that. "Rumplestiltskin asked me to retrieve the ring. I don't know why he wants it." David answered honestly. He didn't fancy another blow to the head. Snow thought this over.
"Ok, I guess I could part with the ring and not have you taken to the dungeon. Under one condition." Snow said. David listened carefully. "You take me with you." David's eyes widened in horror.
"Oh I don't think that's a good idea." He said. "Everybody knows your father hardly lets you leave the palace. If I get caught with you, it'll be worse for me than if you have me thrown in the dungeon for having the ring." David said. Snow smirked.
"Who said I'd tell them you were after the ring?" She challenged him. David's eyes widened in horror.
"You wouldn't."
"Try me." David sighed. Nobody mentioned the princess was tricky!
"Fine, I'll take you with me. But no funny business." He warned her. Snow grinned and released him from the chair.
"You have a deal."
