Author's Note: I have the rest of the story planned out from here, so you will see more frequent updates. I have another completed New Moon fic ready to upload hopefully this week as well. There were so many ways this could have gone. I hope you like my version!

Alice did my nails and other girly things while Edward and the guys did who knows what in the woods. I couldn't stop thinking about Edward. My thoughts were a mixture of excitement, nervousness for tomorrow, sadness at being away from him, and morbid curiosity of what exactly his brothers were subjecting him to.

She froze with her hands in my hair, stopping mid-brush stroke. "What is it, Alice?" I asked when she started moving again, clearly just having had a vision. Alice giggled.

"Well Jasper just decided that him and Emmett are going to – demonstrate – some positions for Edward after they finish hunting."

I couldn't help but laugh with her. I was glad the guys were having fun, but also amused at how badly I knew they would embarrass Edward. "He's not going to kill them, is he?" Alice shook her head. "Which one is going to pretend to be the woman?"

"Emmett."

We both were still laughing super hard a few minutes later and making all kinds of crude gestures imagining what the guys might be up to when Esme walked in, bringing me dinner and Alice some shopping bags. Esme looked from me to Alice twice and then joined in laughing at the looks on our faces.

I tried to relax as much as possible and just enjoy the time with the women of the family. Even Rosalie joined us a little while later as we all gossiped, listened to music, and went over last-minute details for the next day. It was a few hours later when Alice had another vision and immediately grabbed her phone off from the dresser, calling someone. It was Jasper, I realized when she started talking.

"Hey, everything is fine nobody panic. I just had a vision and I'd like to talk to Bella and Edward together tonight. Can you all get home easily from where you are?" She paused. "Thanks, see you soon. Love you." and she ended the call.

"What's up?" I asked, curious.

"Oh, it's nothing bad!" Alice said smiling. "But you both need to hear it together. And I need to find Carlisle." She danced out of the room and went to where she could call him at work in private, I guessed, away from prying human and vampire ears.

I tried to think about what a vision of me and Edward could possibly have to do with Carlisle, especially if it were related to our upcoming wedding, but I had no idea. There was an awkward silence while Esme, Rosalie and I tried to figure out what Alice was talking about. It held until Alice returned to the room a few minutes later, giggling again and turning the music back on.

She started working on my nails as if nothing had happened. I had a feeling she was hiding something big since she was willing to face the wrath of both Emmett and Jasper by making them bring Edward home early. I couldn't take my mind off of the possibilities. Would we be changing something about the wedding? Maybe Carlisle would be officiating instead of Reverend Weber?

Perhaps there needed to be a last-minute change in our surprise honeymoon destination? A guest list oversight? Surely, she could mention those types of things on the phone though.

Edward returned home an hour or two later, running into the house and appearing instantly at my side before I had even finished registering the sound of the door opening. Once he was assured I was unharmed, he immediately started looking questioningly at Alice. Jasper and Emmett appeared a minute after.

"Don't try to read my thoughts, Edward. You two need to learn about this together. Don't be unfair to Bella." Alice said. "Let's go somewhere private."

Alice led us both outside and Edward picked me up to carry me. It was clear that we were at least going to run outside the range of vampire hearing. I know that we were only running for a couple minutes, but it felt like hours of waiting to find out what Alice had to say. I was happy to see Edward again so soon, but I knew she was hiding something really important from us.

Edward stopped running and stood me up on my feet. I realized that we were in our meadow. Alice sat in front of us cross-legged and indicated that we should sit too. I felt like a little kid almost sitting like that, but I wasn't going to upset Alice before she revealed her mystery to us.

"Speak, little one." Edward said, half joking, but clearly nervous.

"Alright. I have something to tell you and I'm not sure how you two will react. I've asked Carlisle to look into it more but he's the only person I've told. He may have more information for us when he gets home. I can say it out loud, or I suspect that if I show you, Edward, while you and Bella are linked, that you both will see what I see as long as you focus on me and not each other. Do you want to try it?"

"Yes!" I said, enthusiastic. It would be really cool to see one of Alice's visions first-hand.

Edward nodded and I crawled into his lap to make it easier to reach him. We touched each other's faces, forming our connection. "Now don't think any distracting dirty thoughts." I said, smiling nervously looking at Edward. He showed me a mental image of him touching my butt in this meadow just a day or two ago, teasing me, before focusing on clearing his thoughts.

"OK, read my mind." Alice said, closing her eyes and sitting there calmly, facing us. I focused as hard as I could on Alice, trying to keep my thoughts as silent as possible.

I gasped when we were greeted by Alice's vision. It was clear and detailed. Edward and I were standing in the Cullen's living room in Forks. Edward was standing behind me with his arms around me. I was holding something in my arms that we were both looking down at, smiling.

I realized that it was wrapped in a pale pink blanket, just before a little arm reached up to touch my face in the vision. I lifted my face and saw that my eyes were blood red. It scared me. Was I going to hurt this baby? But then I smiled down at the baby as it touched my cheek and Edward smiled at us. What the hell?

The vision ended, but Edward and I stayed connected, turning our attention now to each other. Edward was recalling a conversation with his brothers about our wedding night and if he intended to use birth control. Emmett was making some kind of crude remark about flavored condoms when Jasper's phone started ringing.

Edward squeezed my hand gently before breaking our connection and turning his full attention to Alice. "You saw this for the first time the minute you called Jasper?"

"Yes."

"Seems like it was just a moment or two after I decided that my venom wouldn't hurt Bella as it wouldn't enter her bloodstream." Edward said, clearly thinking about something. It just wasn't making any sense. Would we babysit for someone? Maybe Angela had gotten pregnant? Would I have enough control as a newborn to do that?

"I'll let you two talk." Alice said, standing up. "But I will call you if Carlisle or I find anything out, so keep an eye on your phone." she added before running towards the house.

Edward looked at me and I was having a hard time determining how he was feeling. "I think I'm missing something." I said.

"I'm not sure I understand myself." He held a hand up just barely not touching my face. "Are you afraid of me accidentally seeing your dress?"

"No more afraid than you are of showing me where our honeymoon will be. I think we need to try to figure this out together."

He nodded slightly and we touched again, sharing our thoughts. Suddenly, what Edward said to Alice made sense and my eyes filled with tears.

Edward had just decided that a condom wouldn't be necessary on our honeymoon if I was alright with it. He was confident that he no longer had living sperm as a vampire and that his venom wouldn't hurt me when Jasper's phone started ringing about the vision.

Alice hadn't seen us babysitting, she had seen our baby. Somehow, we were going to have a baby! I was beyond excited. Edward was a mixture of excited and scared.

"What's wrong?" I asked mentally.

"Vampires can't have babies. Rosalie and Esme would both definitely be mothers by now if we could. Yet in the vision, you were obviously a vampire. I'm not sure this makes any sense. I don't want to hurt you somehow."

"I was clearly unharmed in the vision."

"We don't know what led to your change though. If you had red eyes, you were still a newborn. Maybe I had no choice but to change you."

"But the baby was fine."

"I just don't understand. I think it's best we take precautions for now until we learn more. I couldn't live with myself if I hurt you."

"I never wanted or even considered having children before. But if I could have your baby, our baby, that changes everything. Of course, I would want a miniature Edward."

"Or miniature Bella. But Bella, it could kill you. If I am the father, that means it's half vampire. There's no way a vampire fetus could survive in you without hurting you."

"Let's agree to look into it more? We seem to know what triggered the vision. So we'll use protection for now and then all research until we figure out if it's possible?"

"You know, in the past I probably would have went off raving mad about hurting you and said hell no. But you're right. We'll research and make sure it won't hurt you first. I love you so much. If it's possible, and if it wouldn't kill you, I want nothing more than for you to be the mother of my children…..children. I hadn't considered that possibility in decades…." Edward's thoughts trailed off and he replayed Alice's vision for us. I was overwhelmed by the excitement we both felt at the possibility. Edward kissed me and I was so grateful for our connection and how much he had grown since he came back.

"Me too, love." he said out loud. "Want to go see what Carlisle knows?"

I nodded and Edward stood up, still holding me to him and carried me off towards the house in a run. Carlisle was just arriving home from work. He met us just outside the house and smiled calmly at us. "I hear you two just got some really exciting news. I've heard legends, but I'm not sure how much is true. Why don't we go up to my study and see if any of the old manuscripts or anything mentions it?"

Carlisle, Edward, and I spent the night going through old books and searching online for any information about vampires and humans having babies. It seemed that there were legends, especially from South America, but we had no way of knowing truth from fiction. I drifted off asleep leaning against Edward at some point because I woke up with him tucking me into bed in his room. "Did you find anything?" I asked.

"No, but we'll keep looking. You need to rest though. We have a big day tomorrow, soon to be Mrs. Cullen." He smiled at me and caressed my cheek.

"Stay with me tonight?"

"Until Alice forces me to leave." he promised, laying down beside me and taking me in his arms.
