AN: Hey guys. Was hoping to have this up before my birthday vacation trip last week, but stuff got busy here. Hope you guys enjoyed the new season of the Walking Dead! I know I did. Poor Patrick though!

Alright, to answer some questions:

Thornado: She can barely sense Walkers. They are of a "magic" she is not familiar with, and it is hard for her to adjust. All other "undead" she has come across pre-apocalypse are from spiritual being or herbs. As for the barn, if you think about it, they havent been at the farm but maybe 36 hours. Her group has mostly stayed near the Rav4 and the house away from that barn. She hasnt had time to sense anything.

You'll have to find out about Shane. ;P

ShiTsukisan: As with above, she is not completely familiar with this type of undead. She must first get better accustomed to them in order to purify them in large amounts. She also cant purify a bunch of Walkers around many people in either of the groups. As of right now, only Souta and Wade know of her past and powers.

Chapter 9: Mobility

Sometimes she hated taking watch by herself. It made her think too much.

She was thinking about the past again. Go figure.

She missed all her friends, and even though it had been nearly five years since she was ripped away from them, she still thought about them everyday. She couldn't help it, she spent three years of her life around them. They were like her family.

Running a hand through her messy hair, she sighed and looked up at the full moon. "Best not think about them too much, I have my present and future to worry about." She thought to herself. Getting too lost in though made her loose focus and she couldn't afford that now.

Speaking of the present. She saw Daryl bring a white flower to the RV earlier. Probably for Carol, and even though she didn't know what kind of flower it was, she could tell it was a very spiritual flower. Almost instantly after watching Daryl go into the RV, she could literally feel Carol's spirit rise up a little and become happy, even if it was only for a few moments.

Smiling to herself, she wondered how things would have been between her and InuYasha if he was more sentimental towards her and brought her flowers when she was upset.

Honestly, she didn't know if she would have loved him as much. Things would have been different, events mostly likely would not of happened, he would have been a different person.

There she went getting lost in thought again. Her watch must be coming to an end soon, she normally didn't get so lost in thought while on her watch until the last hour or so. It was a common occurrence for Greg to spook her when he came for his turn at watch.

After splashing some water on her face, she looked to where she sensed some movement towards the RV. After her eye's adjusted, she could make out the silhouette of someone making their way to the fence by the drive way in a hurry. If she wasn't mistaken, it was Lori. Somehow it didn't surprise her. All of yesterday Lori seemed to be very jittery, the whole time Glenn and Maggie were gone, she would not stop looking down the drive way, watching for them to come back. Once they came back and Glenn approached her, she vigorously took something from his hands and stuffed it in the back of her pants.

Kagome wasn't stupid, she knew what it was. Even now she could sense the tiny life growing in Lori's womb.

Lori was pregnant, most likely only about seven weeks along. If even that.

She honestly felt sorry for the woman. No one would want to bring up a child in this world, it is almost certain death for a newborn.

Hearing a rustle coming from Greg's tent, she took her eye's away from where she could sense Lori to the tent Greg and Souta shared while she was on watch.

Smiling down at Greg, who was wiping sleep from his eye's, she hopped off the top of the Rav and approached him. "Hello there sleeping beauty. Sleep well?"

Glaring lightly up at her, Greg grumbled some kind of gibberish she couldn't understand. It was nearly impossible to understand him right after he woke up, his accent was so heavy from sleep that it was pointless to try and decipher his speech.

Offering him a hand, he gently took it and let her help him stand up. She held back a giggle when he nearly fell back down and on top of Remy who was sitting next to him. You would think someone from the National Guard would have an easier time waking up. "You need to use English for me to understand you, or Japanese."

Huffing and glaring at the smaller Japanese woman, Greg yawned and stretched for a good minute before responding. "I said that it's way to earl' for an'one to be doin' this shit, darlin'. I'm not a mornin' person."

Laughing out loud this time, Kagome gave him a bottle of water. "Well I already knew that. Got to get over it though. It's your watch."

Taking the bottle from her, Greg grumbled again. "Yeah yeah, I know. Anything happen?" He asked before taking a drink of the water.

Shaking her head, Kagome pointed to where Lori was. "No Walkers, but Lori is over there by the fence line. Pretty sure she is just using the bathroom, but make sure nothing happens to her, alright?"

Nodding his head, Greg strapped his Assault Rifle to its harness before he climbed on top of the Rav to Kagome's previous place. "Noted, you get yourself some sleep, Darlin'."

Saying a quick "Good Night" to Greg, she crawled into the tent and got comfy in between Souta and Remy.

The following morning, Kagome and Souta both woke up to a cold snout and tongue on their faces.

Kagome rolled over and groaned. "It's too early Remy, five more minutes..."

Souta on the other hand was coughing and pulling hair out of his mouth from the giant dogs tail. "Eww... he needs a bath, his fur has chunks in it. Bleh!" He continued to pull hair and bits of dirt out of his mouth. "Gross!"

Said dog was whining and kept nosing Kagome's neck and smacking Souta's face with his tail.

Huffing, Kagome sat up and unzipped the tent to let the giant beast out. "Ugh, Go on then!" She all but shouted at the retreating happy dog with Souta in tow to wash out his mouth.

"Good morning, Kagome."

Looking up to the voice to see Wade, she completely got out of the tent and took is outstretched hand. "Morning Wade. How are you?" She asked as she stretched and popped some of her joints.

Giving Kagome a rare smile, Wade adjusted his cap and gave her a small nod. "I'm doing good, thank you for asking. It's nice having a peaceful night. Almost forgot what it was like."

"Tell me about it. I am pretty sure this is the longest amount of time I've gone without seeing a Walker in months. It's nice."

Looking at Kagome out of the corner of his eye quickly, he turned his attention back out onto the field they were staying in . "It is still wise to not get too comfortable. Even in a place such as this, terror can strike at any moment. So keep your guard up."

"I know..."

They stood in silence under the huge oak for a few moments. The only sounds around them were that of wild birds and the occasional snore from the tent Greg and Chouko were in.

It was peaceful.

"We need another vehicle.

Kagome nodded her head. "Greg and I were going to go look for another one tomorrow. Its too cramped in the Rav. He wants to bring Souta also, to show him what to look for in a vehicle we can use." She explained.

Tilting his head slightly, Wade gave her a questioning look. "Why not today?"

"I'm going to help look for Sophia in the woods today."

Giving her a nod of approval, Wade made turned towards the tent Greg and Chouko were still sleeping in. "Go on ahead and help them look for her. Bring Remy with you."

Smiling at his back, Kagome packed up her Bow, quiver, knife, and some rations then headed to where she could see Rick's group with Remy in toe. She laughed to herself when she heard Greg and Chouko's faint complaints in the background.

Today seemed to be starting out good, maybe they would get closer to finding Sophia, or even better, find her.

End of Chapter 9! Sorry nothing too special has gone on the last two chapters. It annoys me when stories go based on the show/ book word for word. It needs to be mixed up a bit.

Im going to try to get the next chapter out within the next week.

Reviews are love!
