AN: Guys, I am so sorry it has taken so long to get this up, really I am. I have had so much happen in the last year and it made this story be put on the back burner. I've had 3 deaths, 2 in the family (including my grandmother), my last remaining grandmother has been in and out of the hospital since Christmas, so things have been really bad since June of last year. Once again, I am sorry it has taken so long to get this up. It wont be as long as I want it to be either, but hey, its an update, ne?
I also found a new place to live as well.
I do not own The Walking Dead or the Inuyasha series.
Also, at Tinawinna, Wade is 26, Greg is 25, Kagome is 23 (almost 24), Souta and Chouko are both 17.
Chapter 12: Answers
She didn't know how much longer she could take his stare.
It was driving her crazy, not to mention that it was making her worry that much more.
She told him everything, well, almost everything. She left out a few details. Like the numerous times she got kidnapped(though she did tell him a few), and when she got sucked into the Shikon. She just told him that they defeated Naraku and she was forced back to her time.
Still though...
Did he have to keep looking at her like that? It was making her nervous and she could already tell that he was battling with himself if he should continue to trust her or not. He had long ago let go of her, so she was standing in front of him, if a bit wobbly, waiting for him to get his thoughts together.
He moved his hand.
She flinched unintentionally.
Remy was sitting between them, facing Daryl. He was tense, she knew that he was sensing her distress and that it was because of Daryl. He was waiting on her to give him word to take Daryl out. He twitched when Daryl moved his hand, his ears went back and the hairs on the back of his neck rose ever so slightly. The dog was intelligent enough to think on his own if need be. If Daryl made an aggressive move before she could react, Remy would waist no time in attacking Daryl in her defense.
Luckily Daryl knew that.
Forcing himself to relax a little, Daryl released a breath he didn't know he was holding. Taking his eyes away from Kagome's to look down at Remy, he noticed that the dog tensed more, and was poised to strike him at any moment. Since there was only a few feet between him and the dog, the dog would be the one to get the upper hand.
He was brash, but even he knew that he had little hope against the huge German Shepherd. He watched the damn thing take out those Walkers with out so much as breaking a sweat (he knew that dogs didn't sweat of course) and he didn't want that to happen to him. Even though Remy didn't attack him earlier when he was taking care of her wound, this was a completely different situation.
Looking back up at Kagome, he decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. Even in the short amount of time that he knew her, she had proven that she was a loyal person and had just as much vigor in searching for Sophia as he did. Even though she didn't know the young girl.
She reminded him a lot of Rick.
He wasn't sure if he liked the thought of that or not.
Sighing again, he ran a hand through his hair. "You know, if someone came up to me three months ago and told me that I would be witness to an apocalypse caused by Zombies, I would of laughed at them and then shot an arrow through them just because I would think that they were crazy." Sighing once again, he noticed that she was watching him apprehensively. "So... it shouldn't be all that surprising that I would meet people along the way that have crazy ass powers to fry said Zombies."
He heard her release the breath she was holding and she instantly relaxed some. She looked at him with her bright blue eyes and he could tell that he had lifting a weight off her shoulders.
She smiled at him slightly. "I just ask that you don't tell anyone else in your group, I will tell Rick when the time is right, alright? I also refuse to let Shane know, the guy gives me the creeps." She unintentionally shivered at the aura the man gave off.
Nodding his head, he ran a hand through his messy hair. "Alright, tell him soon though. Maybe once we find Sophia."
"That would probably be best."
A few more moments went by before the tension between them went away. Daryl noticed that as soon as the two of them relaxed, Remy seemed to relax and was even laying down.
Daryl watched Kagome as she pulled a new shirt out of her pack and put it on. He couldn't help but notice that she had multiple scars along her sides and back. Probably from her adventures. Nearly all of them looked like either bite or claw marks.
The words left his mouth before he could stop himself. "Did you get those scars from your travels?"
"Yeah." She said solemnly. "Every single one of them I got in the course of three years. It is alright though, each one made me stronger in some way." She placed her right hand over her left shoulder, where he noticed one particularly large scar was. "This one was from my last love, he... lost control of himself and attacked me on accident." She wasn't about to tell him that Naraku had taken control of InuYasha after he lost tessaiga. Daryl didn't even know the whole story yet.
Daryl nodding. He could understand, somewhat."I see. My old man was a drunk and would often go after my brother or I when he lost it."
"I'm sorry."
Shrugging his shoulders, Daryl walked past her and picked up her backpack and put it on. "It's alright, my brother and I always made it through it, now I don't need to deal with the bastard anymore."
He held out his hand to her and offered her a small smile. "Come on, we should get back before it is too late."
She looked at his hand awkwardly, then to her backpack. "I can carry that you know..."
"Probably, but we don't want you opening your wound back up. Its a long walk back and we only have about two hours of day light left. Not to mention its going to be fun getting you back up the embankment."
He almost chuckled at her pout.
Almost.
Crossing her arms under her chest, she was tempted to stick her tongue out at him. At least he didn't offer to carry her.
Thirty minutes and several new scratches later, all three of them managed to make it back up from where Kagome initially fell from. Though the horses were long gone, they could still make it back to the farm within an hour, even with Kagome's injury.
Looking over to Kagome, Daryl gave her a small nod. "Ready?"
Nodding back to him, Kagome gave him a small smile. "Yeah, lets get out of the woods, I need a nice nap."
Smiling back slightly, Daryl wrapped her arm around his neck to better balance herself and they both made their way back towards where the farm was.

Andrea almost wanted to laugh at what she was hearing.
Dale and Glenn were in the RV home below her, Glenn had just spilled that he had sex with Maggie.
It was comical really, Glenn had a good point though, he may as well take advantage of these things while he could. It wasn't everyday that a woman was more than willing to have sex with you in this world.
She watched him walk out of the RV and into their makeshift camp. Seeing something out of the coner of her eye, she looked back out towards the field and could barely make out the shape of someone. They were walking sluggish and swinging their free arm.
Standing up she shouted that there was a walker and got the Rifle ready while the others came up behind her.
Rick walked up beside the RV and looked up to her. "Is it just the one?"
Shaking her head, she looked down her binoculars, she could barely make out two shapes from the setting suns glare. "No, looks like there are two of them, I bet I could nail both of them, They are right next to each other."
Rick shook his head. "No, let us take care of this." He saw Shane coming up beside him.
Picking up an pick ax, he walked over towards the field with T-Dog beside him. "Best let us handle this."
Rick pointed at him. "Shane, no, Hershel wants to deal with Walkers."
"Bullshit man, we got it covered."
Cursing to himself, Rick ran into the RV to get his revolver, before running after Shane and T-Dog.
Andrew shook her head. "I can take care of this myself." she thought before taking aim with the rifle. She cursed when the suns glare was not giving her a clear shot. Laying down on top of the RV, she looked down the sights of the rifle again.
Below her on the ladder, Dale was shaking his head. "Andrea, don't!"
"Back off Dale."
Andrea briefly noted that Rick and the others had stopped in front of the two walkers, thinking nothing of it, she fired. When she saw both walkers fall to the ground, she smiled. "I actually hit them."
A moment later, she frowned when she heard Rick screaming "No!".
"Oh, shit." She cursed to herself before she rushed off of the RV and ran towards them. She stopped halfway when she heard a female crying, a moment later, she saw a familiar dog.
She just shot Daryl.
AN: Sorry it took so long to get up guys. Things have quieted down, so I should be able to update more frequently.
I will can promise that I will updated a week or so after the 17th of this month. Not before however, my late grandmothers birthday is the 17th and most of the family is going down to Florida in memory of her since she loved visiting there in her later years.
