Important: Hey guys, I have something I would like to tell all of you.

I want all of you to know how much it means to me that all of you have stuck through with me concerning WFAE, I really have no words to express my gratitude to all of you for following, reviewing, and liking my story. These last few days have been rough for me, but reading all of your positive comments has helped me cheer up some. It means a lot, really. 3

Second, I just bought a house and will be moving into it next week. I am so excited! Its part of the reason why I havent updated the last 2 months, been so busy with it. Buying a house is a lot of work!

Also, most of you seem to want Wade/ Kagome/ Daryl, as I said last chapter, this is not set in stone and I have not decided if I want this threesome to happen or not yet. Time will tell.

Chapter 17: Secrets Revealed

Ignoring the gunfire in the distance from the others practicing, Daryl watched Souta and Chouko hanging out (literally in Souta's case) in a tree in one of the fields by the horse barn. He hadn't planned on being a baby sitter when Kagome left with Wade and Greg, at least the two teens were minding themselves and not getting into any trouble. That was a plus.

Hearing the gunfire come to a near stop, he looked over towards where the others were. He could make out their figures of pretty much everyone, looked like Rick and Shane was giving Andrea a talk about something.

Seeing a movement out of the corner of his eye, he saw Dale heading towards the horse barn. Curious, he took one last look at Souta and Chouko to make sure they were in the same place, before he tip toed over to the barn.

Once he got near, he hid behind some shrubbery by one of the corners. He could make out the very family rear of Nervous Nelly as Hershel worked on her. Glaring at the horses ass, he pushed aside thoughts of teaching the horse a lesson and listened in to what Hershel and Dale were talking about.

"-I took a long walk this morning, I ended up by the barn."

There was a pause.

"I heard the moans."

Blinking in confusion, Daryl tilted his head to hear better. What did Dale mean by "Moans"? It better not be what he thought it was.

"That is unfortunate."

"I'm sure you have your reasons for keeping this a secret."

"I saw the broadcasts, I saw the irrational fear, and atrocities, like the incident at my well."

"We killed a walker."

There was a quiet huff.

"You killed a person."

"If you watched the same broadcasts that I did, you saw walkers attack, kill, they're dangerous.

"A paranoid schizophrenic is dangerous too. We don't shoot sick people."

Daryl wanted to snort. Hershel was nuts if the Walkers were just "sick people".

"With all due respect, you're cut off from the outside world her. I've seen people that I cared about die and come back, and they're not people."

He was talking about his wife and Amy.

"My wife and stepson are in that barn, they're people."

"I'm sorry. Let me help, I'll speak to Rick, he's a good man, we can help make the barn more secure."

Daryl rolled his eye, they were Walkers inside that barn. Which meant that they were a threat and needed to be taken care of.

"The barn is secure. Keep this to yourself if you want to help. Rick is a good man, but are you so sure about everyone in your group?"

Taking that as his cue to leave, Daryl quietly moved away from the barn and back towards where Souta and Chouko still were. He wasn't going to take any chances, but he couldn't just run off to everyone and tell them about the barn. That would just cause chaos.

Glaring at the barn he knew the walkers were in, he wonder if Kagome knew about them. He noticed her looking out the window towards it last night, but it didn't seem like she knew about the Walkers inside. She did say that she was just starting to get use to being able to sense them.

"Hmm..."

"Everything alright, Daryl?"

Looking up, he saw Chouko's worried eye's. Giving her head a single pat, he nodded. "Yeah, was just thinking about something. I might go looking for Sophia later today, once Kagome gets back."

Souta spoke up. "You sure that is a good idea? Sis did say that you shouldn't go out again so soon, not to mention she said that while they were looking for another vehicle that they would keep an eye out for Sophia. They're looking in the same area she ran from, right? She might have gone back."

He had him on that one.

Resisting a sigh, Daryl ran a hand through his messy hair. "I suppose you're right."

Hearing the familiar pops of a car driving over gravel, all three looked over to the drive way and saw Shane take off with Andrea in the Hyundai.

Chouko tilted her head. "I wonder where they are going."

Shrugging, Souta snorted. "I couldn't care less, those two can stay gone for all I care. Erm, No offense Daryl, I know that they are two of your people." He flinched when Chouko smacked the back of his head.

"Idiot, that was rude."

Shaking his head, Daryl gave both teens a small smile. "It's alright. Don't worry about it. I have my own issues with the both of them."

"You seem to be a bit of an outcast among them."

Chouko gasped. "Souta!" She went to smack him upside the head again but stopped when Daryl let out a deep chuckle.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself, Daryl looked up into the clear sky. "Yeah, I've always been a bit of one. The only one I tended to stay around on a normal basis was my brother. He was an even bigger ass hole than I am though." Narrowing his eyes, he was surprised that he wasn't still upset with Rick and T-dog over that whole incident. Probably because they actually tried to get him back. He was still convinced that his brother was still alive though.

Noticing the position of the sun, He looked back down at both teens and motioned towards camp. "Come on, lets go get some lunch. I think I saw a basket of fruit and jerky."

Not waiting for them to say anything, he turned and headed straight for his groups camp. If they had a problem with him sharing their supplies with Souta and Chouko, he would take responsibility.

Besides, it wasn't like Souta was part of the reason why Carl was even up and moving right now. Their whole group owed it to Souta and his sister.

He tried his best to not think about the barn full of Walkers as they walked past it (though at a distance), however, he wondered if he should tell Rick, or leave it to Dale.

"This is getting too risky..."

Lunch was quiet for the most part.

Lori was there, eating an apple when they showed up. Daryl had explained that he wanted to share some food with Souta and Chouko as thanks for helping to save Carl.

Thankfully Lori didn't have a problem with it.

"Thank you so much for helping save my son."

Souta flushed slightly. "It's alright, if it wasn't me. My sister would of done it too." He said as he took a bite of Jerky.

Chouko was eating an apple beside him, and Daryl was watching the driveway, waiting for the others to come back, having already finished his food. He noticed Glenn and Maggie coming up the driveway on two horses. The later looking completely livid.

"Wonder what he did to piss her off."

Lori smiled slightly, before taking the last bite of her apple and throwing the core in their temporary trash bag.

After a few minutes, Lori got up. "I'm going to go fold the laundry." She said before going to a nearby table with some clothes baskets on it.

Chouko finished her apple, and got up. "I'll help you." She smiled at Lori and threw her core away and stood next to the older woman.

Eyeing the younger girl for a moment, Lori nodded. "Alright."

It was quite for a few moments before Maggie stormed through the gate, surprising everyone.

"Hey! We got your stuff!"

Glenn was chasing after her. "Maggie, come on, please!"

Lori looked panicked for a moment, and glanced at the other three, who were looking at her in complete confusion.

Thinking quickly. She motioned towards one of the tents. "Come on, over here."

Maggie wasn't having any of it though. She reached into the bag she was holding. "Why? You got something to hide? We got your special delivery right here! We got your lotion, got your conditioner, your soap opera digest-" She nearly yelled, shoving everything into Lori's arms, dropping a small packet in the process.

"Maggie..." Lori tried to interrupt her, but failed.

"Next time you want something, get it your damn self. We're not your errand boys.

Lori was dumbstruck. "Honey, I-"

Quickly picking up the packet, Maggie shoved it into Lori's hand. "And here's your abortion pills!" She sneered before quickly turning away and shoving past Glenn. There was a quiet gasp from Chouko that went unheard.

The whole camp was completely still.

Lori looked at Glenn helplessly, he stood there for a moment before he shook his head and went after Maggie. She then looked at Daryl, Chouko, and Souta.

All three had equal looks of surprise on their faces. This was not how she wanted everyone to find out. She actually didn't want anyone to know. It was bad enough that Dale and Glenn had known.

This was too much. She turned around and walked into one of the tents, leaving the other three to brood on what just happened.

They all looked at each other in shock.

Lori was pregnant...

A few hours later, Shane and Andrea came back.

Carol was looking over Andrea, she had scratches on her neck. "Are you ok?" She asked in worry, after finding out that they hadn't found Sophia.

"Yeah, I uh-"

Shane interrupted her."-The place was overrun." He gave Andrea a pointed look.

Looking back at him, she nodded. "Yeah, it was."

Carol laid a hand on Andrea's back. "Lets go get you cleaned up." She said and started escorting her back to the tents.

"Ok."

Dale narrowed his eye's at Shane. Who shook his head and turned to walk away. "Shane-"

Both stopped though when they heard more cars driving down the drive way.

Shane pulled his pistol out, ready to shoot any trespassers until he noticed a familiar black SUV coming down the drive. There was a dark blue Jeep following after it.

Looked like Wade's group got another vehicle.

Shane shook his head, he didn't like them, at all.

Turning around, he started back towards the tents when he heard Dale's gasp. Turning back around, he glared at Dale. "Come on Dale, its just Wade's group, your eyes aren't faili-" He stopped though when he saw what Dale was looking at.

Dale had ignored him and instead turned around quickly, looking around, he could still see Carol escorting Andrea to where their first aid items were. "Carol! Come here!"

Stopping, Carol looked at Dale confused. Looking back at Andrea, who shrugged, she walked back down towards the two men.

She didn't go three feet when she heard a familiar voice.

"MOMMY!"
