"Look, over there." said Jason pointing off into the distance. Piper and I joined Jason at the starboard gunwale. A large valley spread out just below the horizon. "Camp Jupiter." Jason briefed, stating the obvious.

I slung my backpack off of my shoulder, fishing around inside for my binoculars. They weren't hard to find. Every couple hours I would unpack and repack my bag just to keep my mind off of Percy. I would be seeing him in an hour. My Seaweed Brain. I smiled, picturing our reunion - jumping into his arms, getting twirled around, and planting a huge kiss on his lips. Soon.

I stood up, gazing off into the distance. I studied Camp Jupiter through the binoculars. A blue river flowed across the valley in the shape of a G. A turbulent snake cutting through an intoxicatingly verdant landscape. At the end of the river in the center of the G lay a picturesque lake. The late afternoon sun glimmered off its surface. On the northern edge of the lake sat a beautiful city. The architecture, oh gods the architecture; the city appeared to be a scaled down version of Rome. The trademark red roofs and large dome really sold it. A large aqueduct climbed the hills to the North East. Across the lake a large hill dominated its surroundings. The collection of buildings on it, however, were mismatched and inconsistent.

"What are you looking at?" Jason asked.

"The large hill on the southeastern side of the lake."

"Temple Hill. Each God has a temple there, though some are more respected and visited than others. Hopefully we'll have time to tour the place later, but for now, follow the river to the western side of the valley."

I did as Jason guided; my eyes resting on a large Roman military camp. But that wasn't my concern. The largest collection of demigods I've ever seen were assembling in front of the camp's gates. There were easily over a hundred of them.

"Who-" I began.

"The Roman legion." Jason replied. "I used to be a Praetor here, hopefully they'll hear us out first before attacking."

"Hopefully?" Piper asked with a bit of a laugh. Humor always helps to keep you positive when staring death in the face.

"This is the Supreme Commander of the Argo II" the loudspeakers blarred, "prepare for landing, Valdez style!"

"We'd better buckle up then" Jason quipped jokingly. The three of us stood on the deck as the ship descended into a large field, just outside the military camp and city. My thoughts flipped between Percy and Roman Army. Roman Army and Percy. Hopefully they were one in the same, that would make this easy. A loving reunion between the leader of the Greeks and a Roman. I smiled, closing my eyes to picture the reunion I'd dreamt up earlier.

The landing was a little hotter than expected, earning Leo a scolding from Piper. In typical fashion he laughed it off. The four of us descended the gang plank into the field, coming face to face with the full might of the Roman army. This must be how Leonidas felt at Thermopylae.

A group of 5 Romans stepped forward from the group, prepared to meet us in the middle. A scrawny blonde with stuffed animals clipped to his belt took up the right flank. He didn't look like much of a threat. Next to him was a girl wearing a toga and a purple cape. She was from the carribean by the looks of it. I knew instantly this was Reyna, Jason had described her well. My heart did a backflip when I saw Percy in the middle of the procession. Leave it to Seaweed Brain to win fame and fortune in his new home. He donned his toga and cape with ease, as if he'd done so all of his life. He looked mostly the same, though more mature. His sea green eyes shone just as bright, his dark, wavy hair unruly and touchable. All I wanted to do was run my fingers through as I kissed him ferociously. Percy was developing laugh lines, very similar to his father, Poseidon. It was good to know that he'd been smiling a lot, after everything he's been through, he still manages to stay positive.

We were now about 100 yards away from the Romans, both groups quickly closing the distance. 80 yards. 60 yards. 40, I couldn't contain myself. I sprinted towards Percy, longing for his comfort. Percy drew his sword, stepping forward. I slid to a halt, if I'd gone any further I would have impaled myself on riptide.

I gulped, the gravity of the situation encroaching my emotions. "Percy?" I asked tentatively.

I was met with a serious stare. It wasn't cold or harsh, but it wasn't welcoming either. "How do you know my name?" Percy asked. My eyes began to swell. A tear rolled down my cheek.

"Because I know you." I replied. "You really don't remember?"

"Remember what?"

"Anything?"

"No." Percy replied flatly. Seriously, that was it? After all this time and that's all?

I nodded, heartbroken, as Piper, Jason, and Leo appeared at my sides. 4 Greeks and 5 Romans.

"Jason." Reyna said with a curt nod.

"Hey Reyna." Jason replied casually. "Let me guess, Senate meeting?"

"Senate meeting." Reyna confirmed. I admired the Romans punctuality and efficiency. No wasted time. Straight to the point. Later they would decide if they wanted to befriend you or not.

"Are we your prisoners?" I asked, choking back a sob.

"Not at the moment." Percy replied, addressing the four of us. It was as if I was just another person. Nothing special about me.
