Supermarket romance

Inlovewiththecharmings asked for a oneshot of David and Emma being at the supermarket and David getting angry at a guy being disrespectful to Emma by hitting on her.

David wasn't stupid. He could see all the little looks flying between Emma and the man working behind the checkout counter. In David's mind, that was far enough. I mean, he was standing right there! He wasn't expecting things to go further.

"So…we're doing a special today, if you'd be interested?" He asked, clearly talking to Emma and not David.

"Oh yeah, and what might that be?" Emma asked, leaning over the counter. David rolled his eyes. She could do so much better than this sleaze ball. What was she playing at?

"Buy your groceries and get my number free." He said with a wink. David felt the rage begin to boil within him. What a jerk!

"I like the sound of that. I think that sounds like a great deal."

"The hell it does!" David shouted, determined to put a stop to this. The man behind the till dropped the pen he was using to write his number. David pointed an accusing finger at him.

"This isn't exactly very professional, is it pal? Where is your manager?" David asked, looking around.

"Dad, enough." Emma hissed, mortified. She grabbed their bags, dumped them back in the trolley and gave the man an apologetic look.

"I'm so sorry. Ignore him. I'll come back tomorrow and we can discuss that deal then…"

"We'll be doing our shopping elsewhere from now on." David huffed as Emma steered him away quickly before he could cause a scene.

"Really?" Emma whined.

"Really. You don't hit on a guy's daughter right in front of him. That's just asking for it!" David complained. Emma rolled her eyes and began to roughly load their bags into the truck. She was never going shopping with her dad ever again.
