Twin trouble- part 2

Pearsons asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch3128 "Twin trouble" where David wants to go after James for revenge after hearing everything that happened. Snow makes him understand that at that moment it's more important for him to talk to Emma, make sure she's ok and reassure her that he loves her.

"I am going to kill him, and properly this time." David growled. Snow and Emma had just released him from the police station where James had locked him in. Snow then subtly filled him in on the hurtful things he had said to Emma.

David went to storm out the station to find his sorry excuse for a brother, but Snow placed her hand on his chest, preventing him.

"Now isn't the time." She said quietly. Emma was on the other side of the room, barely able to give her dad any eye contact. "He really done a number on her. She needs you right now. A lot more than you need revenge. Trust me, I made sure he didn't get away scot free. She needs some reassurance that none of that nonsense was true." David looked over at their daughter and saw that Snow was right. She looked so defeated, standing over there in the corner. David kissed the side of Snow's head and walked over to her.

"Hey kid." He greeted her.

"Hi." Emma said timidly, not meeting his eye.

"My brother gave you a hard time, didn't he?" David questioned her. Emma nodded briskly. "Emma, everything James said to you, it was a vicious lie. He's had enough time down here to watch what's happening in our world. He knows what to say to get under all our skins. He's a vindictive man and frankly, I feel sorry for him." David said. Emma scoffed. "I feel sorry for him, because he never got what I have. He never met his true love. He never got to have children. Here I am with my beautiful wife and two amazing children. He'll do whatever he can to damage that. Try not to let him. You know how much I love you, exactly as you are." David gave Emma a gently hug. "I truly pity him. I got the long straw staying with mother. I got everything a man could ask for." David said proudly. Emma still didn't respond, and David didn't expect her too. He knew some wounds took some time to heal.
