Getting out of the woods
Petrobella asked for a oneshot of Emma, Henry and Neal getting attacked. Emma gets injured protecting the boys. They half carry, half drag her to safety.
"Almost there, mom." Henry encouraged his mom. Truth be told though, he didn't know how far away from the town they were. He, Emma and Neal had been taking a walk through the woods when, suddenly, the trees began to attack them. It was clearly a result of dark magic, but whose they did not know. Emma was able to protect them from the attacks as well as stop the trees from moving, but not without getting herself injured. The trees were able to get a good few swipes in at the Saviour as she protected her son and brother. During the fight her adrenaline had kicked in and prevented her from realising the extent of her injuries, but now that they all were safe Emma could barely move. Blood was trickling down her shirt sleeve at a steady rate. Henry knew it was serious when his mom hardly held her own weight. Neal was so small, so Henry was having to do most of the heavy lifting himself, as well as steering them out of the woods. If they were attacked again they were doomed. He cursed himself for not remembering to pick up his phone.
Henry tried to stay cool. He knew that's what his mom would do if it were her. He didn't want Neal to panic. That was the last thing they needed. He tried to retrace their steps to lead them to safety. All the while watching out for more danger. Night was creeping in, and it was getting harder to see. He knew his mom would lose consciousness soon if they didn't get out and that would not be good.
Luckily, Henry began to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Or in this case, the clearing of the woods. With a final heave from him and Neal, they were able to drag Emma out of the woods.
"I'm proud of you, kid." Emma gasped. "S'gonna be ok." She promised him. Henry smiled, both exhausted and relieved. Maybe, it just might.
