Someone who understands

A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma having an older brother who is sent through the wardrobe with her. When Emma's magic malfunctions and Snow scolds her, causing Emma to run away, he gets really angry with her.

Snow realised her mistake as soon as she made it. The look in Emma's eyes when she scolded her…it made Snow's heart plumit to her stomach.

"Emma, wait." Snow pleaded, hoping she could quickly resolve this, but Emma run.

"Emma!" Everyone called, but Emma was gone. Caleb tried running after her, but Emma was in the bug and away before he could stop her. He came back to the group, running a hand through his hair.

"Brilliant job, mom." He said sarcastically. "That's exactly what Emma needed right now."

"Don't be so hard on her." David told his son off, wincing as he rolled his sore shoulder. There would be no lasting damage, just some bruising. "She just got a fright, we all did."

"Don't you think Emma was the most scared out of all of us?" Caleb pointed out. "I've been with her since she was a baby. I know how to handle her when she's in fight or flight mode. You should have let me handle that situation. You went into her space when she asked you not to. Then you told her off for a reaction she couldn't help. Magic is all new to Emma. She needs a gentle approach, not being screamed at." Caleb ranted. Snow felt the tears building up in her eyes. "What's the point in crying now? Save the tears for when we've found your daughter." Caleb suggested bitterly, storming off himself. David pulled Snow into his side, letting her cry. Both of their kids just needed a chance to cool off.
