Protecting Emma
Cameron Greg House asked for a oneshot of Snowing fighting with Rumbelle over Gideon trying to kill Emma repeatedly.
"We didn't start this fight." Snow warned the couple, her voice dripping with venom. Belle couldn't even look her in the eye. Rumple was not so filled with guilt. He did his best to stare Snow down, just as much the protective parent as she was.
"Emma, go wait outside." Snow said firmly, not taking her eyes off the former Dark One.
"Mom…"
"I'll just be a couple of minutes, Emma." Snow said, her voice leaving no room for arguing. She gently squeezed Emma's hand. "Go on." Emma sighed. She walked away, glancing back before she passed through what was left of the spider's web. She didn't think this was going to go well.
Snow waited until she was sure her daughter was well out of earshot.
"I think we can all agree this has gone a bit further than playground bullying." Snow said, cutting to the chase. "But let's pretend that's what it was for a moment. At first, I'd encourage Emma to ignore him. When that didn't work, I'd tell her to tell a teacher. If that was ineffective I'd begin to step in on her behalf. I'd talk to the school, maybe try and catch the child myself. Or even talk to the parents, encourage them to stop their child's behaviour, point out how much it was hurting my daughter. Then, if they all refused to listen to reason, there would only be one course of action left." Snow's eyes darkened as she looked between an anxious looking Belle and a steely looking Rumple. "I'd tell Emma to fight back." Snow said dangerously. "Gideon has gone too far. He's risked my daughter's life far too many times. He might be your boy, but he's hurting my girl. The line was drawn here today. Emma has my full support to give Gideon as good as she's got if he continues to step in her way. If either of you assist him, or try and hurt my daughter, I will end you." Snow warned them. She turned on her heel and walked away from them without another word. She might have been subtle in her threat. Her husband was not so gentle.
When Snow woke David up later that evening, he saw red when he found out what happened to Emma. With gritted teeth, he marched straight to Rumple's shop.
"Rumplestiltskin!" David bellowed. He stomped up to the counter and grabbed him around the neck.
"Stop!" Belle pleaded. "Stop, this won't help anyone!"
"It helps me." David growled, but he let Rumple go all the same. Rumple wasn't fazed by the threat. He could have stopped him with his magic.
"Your blasted son tried to kill Emma again. That was the last time, do you both hear me? I know Snow will have made our stance very clear, but I'm here now to echo her. If Gideon so much as looks in Emma's direction again, I will run him through with my sword." David warned them both.
"You can try." Rumple hissed. "See how close you can get before your blade reverses." David stared Rumple down, his nostrils flaring. He walked away before he did something he'd regret. Snow and David had been complacent in this for too long. Emma might be a Saviour, but she was not invincible. She could get hurt, something they were all too aware of. They would not let Gideon or the Black Fairy hurt their daughter.
