Two kids down- part 2
CharmingsDaughter asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch3161 "Two kids down" where we see David looking after the kids.
"Come on Em, you have to have something in your system, even if it is just water." David tried to coax his daughter. Emma scrunched her face up in disgust and pressed her lips tightly together.
"I'll puke again." She complained. David reached beneath him and pulled up the basin.
"If you do, that's what this is for." He told her. "I've got you covered. Come on. Just a few small sips." He encouraged her. Emma sighed. She was too tired to argue. She relented and reached forward and took a couple of small sips of water. Almost immediately, she could feel it churning in her stomach. David saw her heaving and quickly pulled the basin up. He was just in time, up came the water.
"Told ya." Emma mumbled, settling back on her pillow. David frowned. They would need to get something into her system soon. David then had just enough time to rearrange Emma's pillows before Neal started wailing from downstairs. Poor little boy. He had caught the bug from his big sister. Now both children were vomiting day and night. David knew how torn Snow was about going into the office that morning. He understood how hard it was for her to leave the kids when they were sick, but he also know he didn't want the people to think she was slacking or struggling to cope. He was more than capable of looking after Emma and Neal for the day…well, just about.
By three pm David felt nearly as run down as the kids. Of course he didn't let Emma see that. She didn't like that someone else was having to take care of her, but there was no way they were letting her stay by herself when she was so ill. Both she and Neal had at least stopped chucking up by lunchtime. He then brought her down to the couch so he could watch her and Neal together. It wasn't long before both of them had fallen asleep. David had intended on tidying up before Snow got home, but he just felt so comfortable. Maybe he'd shut his eyes for just five minutes…
