A punch for a punch
Ghaby asked for a oneshot of Snow punching Cruella after Cruella punching Emma in the Underworld. Set as though Snow didn't return to Storybrooke.
"How's that for quick." David snarled, grabbing hold of his twin. While David wrestled with James and Robin got back to the baby, Snow went and got her own baby. She pulled Emma into a quick hug.
"Are you alright?" She asked her.
"I'm fine." Emma assured her. Snow wasn't entirely sure that fine was a fair assessment. When she saw James near enough dangling Emma over the river of lost souls her heart was in her mouth. She was glad David had charged him in time. Snow pulled out of the hug and held Emma's face in her hands. Her warm smile faltered as she noticed a red patch on Emma's cheek. She gently brushed her thumb against it. "Did James hit you?" Snow asked. Emma shook her head. "No, but his girlfriend did." She said moodily. Snow snarled. In the scuffle they had forgotten one other person was here: Cruella. Snow searched the clearing for the former queen of darkness. It took her mere seconds to find her. She was skulking towards the abandoned gun. Snow snarled and stomped towards the wicked woman. Cruella was crouched down, about to pick up the gun. Snow viciously kicked it away, making sure she caught Cruella's hand in the process. She yelped in pain, getting up.
"Like you could use it anyway." Snow growled. Cruella did her best to act like she wasn't terrified. Snow balled her hand into a fist and launched it at Cruella's face. Cruella gasped, clutching the side of her head. "That was for my daughter." Snow growled. "Ever lay a finger on her again and it'll be ten times worse."
"Am I supposed to be frightened?" Cruella said, although clearly she was. "James is the ruler here, not you, and he would never let you…" But Cruella stopped. Her face drained of colour. Snow turned around and was just in time to see David shove his brother into the river. Snow smirked.
"What were you saying?" She asked. She turned back to face the villainess, but she was already running away. Snow let her go. This time. She looked over to Robin who was cradling the baby.
"Is she alright?" Snow asked. Robin nodded.
"She's a trooper, not even crying." Robin said, smiling at his baby daughter. Snow walked over to David, who was now standing with Emma on the edge of the river. Emma was cuddling into his arm, clearly having already tried to give him some comfort. Snow decided she would talk with her husband about this in private later. For now, she wrapped her arms around his middle from behind, just letting him know she was there. He did was he had to do, she got that, but she also knew it wasn't an easy decision.
