Jack's fingers slowly traced the contours of Ianto's bare chest and stomach as they lay in the dark listening to each other's gentle breathing. Ianto adjusted his position slightly and nuzzled his head further into Jack's arm. "Jack?" Ianto whispered softly. "Mm" Jack murmured sleepily in response.

"What happened?"

"Hm? What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean."

Jack hesitated then sighed softly, deciding what to say. Before he could speak, Ianto spoke up again, "You don't have to tell me, Jack. I mean I want you to, I want you to let me in, but I understand if you don't."

"I...no...Ianto you deserve to know." Ianto didn't reply but waited patiently for Jack to continue. He took Jack's hand in his and interlaced their fingers, gently massaging circles into it with his thumb.

Jack took a deep breath and began recounting the horrific events of the year that never was.

By the time he was finished, the tears were flowing freely and Ianto pulled him into a tight embrace until the tears subsided and his trembling slowed.

"Where are Jack and Ianto?" Gwen queried.

"I don't know, I haven't seen them today. I hope they're ok." Tosh replied.

"Well they better be here soon, I need coffee." Owen grumbled. Gwen rolled her eyes but went back to tapping away at her computer.

It was mid-afternoon now and there was still no sign of Jack and Ianto at the Hub. Finally, Tosh got out her phone and called Jack. He picked up on the third ring.

"Hey Tosh."

"Jack! Thank goodness you're ok, we haven't seen you all day. We were starting to worry."

"Sorry Tosh, I should've called, I'm ok just, taking the day off - I've got to deal with a personal matter."

"Ok, no problem Jack. I hope everything's ok. Is Ianto with you, we haven't seen him either?"

"Yep he's here, we're all good."

"Ok that's good."

"If nothing is happening with the rift you can all go home."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes Tosh, go. Have a break."

"Ok thanks Jack, I'll tell the others."

"Bye Tosh."

"Bye," Tosh hung up the phone and felt a weight lift from her shoulders; Jack and Ianto were ok. She told Gwen and Owen that Jack said they could go home and they immediately leapt to their feet and practically ran out of the hub. Tosh followed shortly afterwards and headed back to her flat alone. Gwen had Rhys to go back to, and Owen was no doubt at a bar on the pull. Tosh sat on her sofa and stared at the wall thinking about Owen. Should she call him? No, he's probably already found a girl to entertain him tonight, she thought. Just then her phone rang, she looked down and seeing the caller ID, answered quickly, a shocked expression fixed to her face.

Jack threw his phone onto the sofa beside him and sunk back into the cushions behind him. Ianto came into his living room with cups of his famous coffee and handed one to Jack. Je murmured his thanks and took a sip, the warm liquid calming him and he managed a weak smile. "You do know how to make the best coffee Ianto Jones." Ianto smiled and brushed Jack's fridge out of his eyes, gently stroking his cheek. "I sent the others home." Jack said flatly. Ianto nodded silently and curled his feet up beside on the sofa and lent into Jack's shoulder. "Wanna watch a DVD or something?" He asked. Jack nodded and smiled down at him.

Ianto got up, put the DVD on, and grabbed a blanket from a chair in the corner. The two men snuggled under the blanket and watched in silence, hands interlocked to assure the other they were still there.

"Owen?" Tosh tried to stop her voice sounding too shocked, "has something happened?"

"Hey Tosh, nah nothing's happened." Owen hesitated before continuing, "I was wondering, if you weren't doing anything, if you'd wanna go out and grab a bite to eat or something?" Tosh felt her stomach flutter softly and smiled to herself. She'd never heard Owen so...vulnerable before.

"I'd love to, Owen."

Owen relaxed slightly, "ok cool. I'll come and pick you up in 20?"

"Ok, see you then."

"Yeah," Owen hung up and rushed to his wardrobe to find something to wear. Tosh did the same.

"Thank you," Jack whispered softly into Ianto's hair. Ianto turned away from the film and looked into Jack's eyes, frowning slightly in confusion, "what for?"

"Letting me stay here, staying with me. Looking after me. Being amazing," Jack chuckled softly, "everything."

Ianto leaned in and pressed a tender kiss on Jack's lips. Pulling away, much to Jack's disappointment, he replied: "I'm not going anywhere, cariad."

Jack smiled and pulled Ianto closer, the usual twinkle back in his bright blue eyes, "I love it when you talk welsh to me." He pushed his lips to Ianto's, gently teasing them open with his tongue.

Ignoring the film that was still playing to itself in the background, Ianto deepened the kiss, allowing Jack's tongue to trace his own and explore his mouth. After several minutes, Ianto pulled away, a disappointed groan escaping Jack's lips. He smiled and stood up, offering his hand to Jack and led him silently to the bedroom.

"That was really lovely, Owen, thank you." Owen had stopped his car by the pavement outside Tosh's flat. "No problem, Tosh." She smiled then leaned over and kissed him gently, one hand on the door handle. She pulled away and looked up at Owen, "d'you wanna come in?" He nodded and before she knew it they were in the hallway of her flat, pinned up against the wall, kissing Owen deeply and desperately. He pushed the front door shut and she led him to her bedroom, undoing his shirt buttons as they went.

"That was amazing," Jack panted, pulling Ianto closer to him as he caught his breath.

Ianto nodded and placed a multitude of kisses along Jack's chest. "We should do this more often. Not just the sex, but the hanging together before hand." He sat up, looked down at Jack and added hurriedly, "not that I don't want more of the sex too." Jack chuckled and stroked Ianto's face affectionately, "I agree."

Owen wrapped his arm protectively around a sleeping Tosh and smiled to himself. He was glad he'd finally chosen to act upon his feelings towards her. "If only we had days off more often." He whispered softly into her hair and he placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head, before settling down and drifting off to sleep himself.
