~Flashback~

Two weeks had gone by as quickly as it came. Students started piling into the large school that symbolized the future of their dreams. Standing as tall as a summit, the UA front doors opened as they all walked inside with calm and collected postures.
The revving of a motorcycle caught people's attention as they turned to see two teens with helmets. Some of the girls looked on as they saw their hands get close to said helmets and, in one fell swoop, let their contract of blue and black fall down in rivulets of hair.
"I told you we'll be late!" the raven-haired teen shouted as he turned off the engine.
"It wasn't my fault you forgot to set the alarm!" the blue-haired teen beside him shot back calmly as his blue hair swayed in the wind.
"That's because you broke the clock, dumbass!" he remarked as the blue-haired boy scoffed in return.
"Whatever Kazuto..."
"Don't take that tone with me, Kai! If you hadn't-" whatever he was going to say was cut off as he bumped into a person. Thinking fast, he grabbed the person's hands and twirled their body around in a fluid motion. His fingers intertwined with theirs as his eyes remained closed with the figure leaning on his chest.
"Are you oka...Kendo!?" he questioned in alarm as he let go of her hand.
"Hm? Oh, it's you!" the teen in question shouted as she pointed a finger at the ravenette.
"Y-yeah..." the teen muttered as he scratched his cheek in embarrassment. As he looked around, he noticed that some of the students stopped walking to look at the events unfolding. Seeing the orange-haired girl blush slightly, he quickly deduced that she noticed as well.
"Don't start falling for each other so early. We're barely getting started~" Kai snickered with a smirk as both teens shot him a glare that lost its function as their cheeks flushed.
"Shut up!" they both shouted as Kai's smirk widened as he started walking away.
"S-sorry about that!" Kazuto exclaimed as he scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment.
"I-it's fine" she muttered as her blush receded.
"I should really get going..." the raven-haired teen muttered as he saw Kai walk near a mop of green hair.
"Right...see ya" Kendo waved as she saw him walk away.
"So..." one of her friends started off.
"Who is he?" the other finished with a wag of her eyebrows.
"No one important!" the girl in question shook her head frantically as she started walking at a faster pace.
"Tell us! Tell us! Tell us!"
Kendo only increased her pace tenfold.
On the other side of the courtyard, the mop of green hair tried to keep his heart from exploding as he walked inside the gates of the prestigious school.
'I've worked tirelessly to get to where I'm at. I can't back down now. I want to show All Might that all the effort he put into training me wasn't wasted. Not only that, but there are two more people that believe in me. I can't let them down either!'
With that idea in mind, one Izuku Midoriya started walking at a slow pace. Taking note of the structure, he was awed by it. This is the place where great heroes are made. Where All Might was able to become a symbol of peace. He needed to pass this exam no matter what.
Letting a sigh escape his lips, the greenette was about to walk forward once more but was pushed back by a voice that he knew all too well.
"Move it loser," an ashy-blond teen muttered as he passed by him. "This place is only reserved for heroes."
Bitting his tongue in order to stop the meek apology he was about to shout, Izuku only looked the other way and started walking. He's had enough of him as it was. There's no need to apologize for something he didn't do. As he saw the blond walk away, he let out a relieved sigh once more. Good. Knowing Bakugo as he did, it could have escalated quickly. He just needed to keep his head high and walk forward one step at a-
He was falling, he noted, as his face was mere inches from kissing the ground.
'I'm a failure. I'm sorry All Might...I guess this is where it ends.' he thought with small anime tears. He had waited for the impact but ended up baffled as he didn't feel any pain.
"You've got to be more careful!" his ears took note of a cheerful voice. A beautiful voice like none other. So melodic, so angelic, so-
"What's with everyone falling today?" another voice muttered. Izuku didn't need to turn around to know that he had been laughing at his plight.
"K-kai! I-It's not what it looks like! This person here just-" the green-eyed teen sputtered as he turned to look at his savior. What he was about to say died in his throat as a blush started to creep onto his cheeks.
His savior was a short girl with fair skin and a perpetual blush on her cheeks. Her eyes are large and round with her irises having a warm brown glow to them that seemed invitingly sweet. The same color as her eyes, her hair is bobbed and curved inwards at the ends with two longer clumps taking the same shape on either side of her face and short bangs reaching a quarter of the way down her forehead. Completing her look was a brown sweater and her school uniform.
'God, she's beautiful' he thought as he fought off a stupid grin from reaching his face.
"Are you sure you're okay?" she asked in worry. "You seem to be turning red."
"Nah, he gets like that all the time." a blue-haired teen with yellow eyes dissuaded her worries as she nodded. 'Man, she's so gullible that it's rather endearing.'
From the lives he and Kazuto had to live through, it had almost made them cynical to the world and yet, seeing the girl smile without a care in the world reminded him of being happy once. No matter what, he'll make sure the other students of this school won't go through what he and Kazuto had. He'd promise that on Tamaki's grave.
"That's good," she smiled cutely as the greenette's cheeks flushed with renewed vigor. "I was scared for a second there. Well, anyway, I've got to get going now. Bye!"
The bluenette waved lamely as he saw the teen beside him raise his hands weakly.
"So lame..." he muttered with a smirk.
"H-hey! T-that's mean!" Izuku pouted with his lip quivering slightly. The action almost made Kai feel guilty. Almost.
"Hey Kai, Izuku!" another voice shouted with a grin.
"H-hello" Izuku muttered with a smile as he saw his other friend getting closer.
"It's been a while huh?" the raven-haired teen smiled as the greenette seemed to loosen up, if only slightly.
"Y-yeah it has Kazuto."
"No, but seriously. What's up with the two of you almost falling and then either being saved or catching cute babes huh!?" Kai exclaimed in a whine.
"Oho! Did you now?" Kazuto smirked teasingly at his blushing friend.
"I-it's not like that! She just saved me from falling t-that's all!" Izuku shook his head frantically in denial. A pat on the head stopped him in his tracks. He looked up to meet his friend's coal-black eyes that shined with mirth.
"Just kidding buddy. I know" he eye smiled. "As for your question Kai, I think it's 'cause you're ugly. Now come on Izuku! Greatness awaits us!"
"R-right!" his friend nodded shakily with a determined gleam in his eyes.
As they walked, they forgot about the blue-haired teen that looked on with a gaping mouth.
"Did you just call me ugly!? ME!? You're lying! Get back here...KKKAAAAZZZUUUUTTTOOO!"
"KKKAAAIII!" the ravenette shouted cheekily as he ran faster along with the giggling greenette.
As their written portion was over and done with, Kazuto let out a sigh. Theory and testing had never been his forte. Sure he had read books about mythology and machinery along with weapon crafting but, when it came down to math and trigonometry, he just blanked out. He wasn't the nerd here! Kai was!
A row or two below him, the yellow-eyed teen felt the urge to strangle his friend for some reason. It was probably because of something stupid he said. Honestly, if they were twins, he was sure he would have carried the brains. He then shook his head rapidly. If he carried the brains, then Kazuto would have carried the...looks. Oh hell no! He was hotter than that emo wannabe!
'I'm going to kill him!' the two teens shouted in their heads as they glared at each other. The poor students could only squirm in their seats at the killing intent radiating off of them. Even Izuku's rambling of quirks had stopped as he turned his head slowly at the cause. One of the braver students stood up stiffly.
"You are here to become heroes. You should start behaving like such and not cause a commotion within the classroom." a relatively tall teen reprimanded them. He has short dark blue hair that was flattened neatly down and parted on the right side of his head. He also has square eyes with glasses that are rectangular in shape.
"Shut up! It was just getting good!" an ashy-blond-haired teen shouted with a smirk as his red eyes danced with glee.
"Now now students!" a loud voice rang throughout the classroom. Both Kazuto and Kai paled at the voice. It couldn't be him! He said he was going on a mission and wouldn't be able to be with them! As they turned their heads, they gulped audibly.
"Hello there! I'm your host...PRESENT MIC!" he hollered as Izuku looked on in awe.
'Ah shit...' both teens grumbled as they made eye contact. With a nod, they bowed and apologized.
"It's alright! I just came here to talk about a few things, you see." Present Mic waved it off.
And so, he talked about how the students would be graded on the points they had accumulated depending on the robots they disabled. Of course, the teen with the glasses asked a few questions and gave a few remarks about the school system and its grading policies. Other than that, it was all going smoothly.
Moments later, the students were lined up against a giant door. Robots or not, they were ready for this. They trained non-stop to get better.
As they stretched and got ready for a fight, a certain green-haired, green-eyed teen went to talk to his savior to thank her properly and say good luck. Of course, life throws your thought out the window and into an unsuspecting surprise. Tenya Ida had gotten in front of him with a slight frown.
"We are all preparing for this test. You should as well because you could be a distraction if not prepared." he reprimanded him with a frown still in place.
"You should relax man" the blue-haired teen from before exclaimed as he put his hands behind his head in a relaxed manner. "He knows what he's doing."
"Still..." the bespectacled teen was going to continue before another voice cut him off.
"It'll be fine dude" the ravenette smiled calmly before pointing at the onlookers. "Besides, you're being more of a distraction than any."
"You're right..." he muttered before bowing. "Forgive my rudeness."
"I-it's f-fine!" Iuku shouted in alarm as he looked left and right frantically. "N-no one's blaming you or anything!"
"Well, as long as you know. Good luck..." Kai smirked as he walked away.
"See ya!" Kazuto waved as he too got lost in the sea of students.
A minute later, a shout of "START!" was heard as students started to run like hell.
Not even five minutes in, all hell broke loose. Robotic parts littered the streets as explosions and smoke were seen. The kids were more like predators tailing their prey as the points started piling up at an astonishing rate.
Kai started walking in a calm manner as the rest looked at him as if he were mad. It looked as if he was taking a stroll in the park for fuck's sake!
Kai looked around at the carnage and couldn't help but whistle at the display. It looked more like a warzone with quirks being used as bombs. Explosions, debris, and robotic parts were all that followed. Generating lightning on his feet, he shot off like a blur. When other teens cleared the eyes from the dust, the bluenette was nowhere in sight.
"This is too easy..." he muttered as he shot lightning off at a robot about to hit a distracted teen. Standing in the middle of the streets once more, he looked at a three-point robot about to raise its fist to hit a teen with shoulder-length, bob-shaped hair, that is swept to her right with some shorter strands hanging above her eyes. He also took notice of her fair skin, athletic build, and cerulean eyes. What took his interest was the neutral expression on her face. Even in death, she doesn't flinch. He could respect that.
The girl in question got a rock and put her fingertips together to enlarge it to the point that, when she threw it up, it crushed the robot and turned it to dust.
"Hey, that's not bad," he muttered as she turned to look at him before brushing him off and walking away. He was about to look for more but was cut off as a blond went flying in his direction. Since he didn't see the figure until it was too late, he forgot to put lightning on his feet. And so, he got crushed by the blond's weight.
"Ah, merci. I could have broken a bone." the blond patted his clothes as he got off him.
Kai only groaned. The guy wasn't heavy or anything but...
'Out of all the people that fell on top of me, it had to be a dude. The fuck's up with my luck? Izuku and Kazuto are lucky bastards...' he mused with a frown.
Quickly putting on a smile, he was going to politely tell him to fuck off. However, he pushed the teen back as another robot went flying towards them. Acting on instinct, he raised his palm upwards with his middle finger in a curling motion, and his thumb reeling back as he flicked a small flame at the robot.
Nearby heroes-to-be saw the small flame and were about to jump at their rescue with cocky grins. If Kai wasn't on auto-pilot, he would've flicked them off. Seeing that the girl he was staring at was now looking at him with a raised brow was only the icing on the cake. Fighting off the motion to curse, he let a smirk grace his lips. They didn't know what his quirk could really do so...let's put on a show!
"Blue Haze: Spear" he mumbled as the small flame connected with the robot. The people staring then saw the flames grow in size and spike out as it pierced the robot and turned it to ashes.
"Holy shit..." one of them muttered as he looked on in shock.
"No kidding" another mumbled dejectedly. Damn it! He was going to look cool in front of the babes if they saw him rescue the losers.
"Wow..." a girl muttered in awe.
"Uhuh." the other nodded.
The girl from before only gave him a nod and just walked away.
'Score' he thought with a smirk. 'I told you I wasn't ugly...idiot'
(Kirigaya Household)
One Yuuki Konno was training with Suguha along with Alice as Shino and Midori were chatting away. She was going through simple yet precise swings that the girl could dodge before stopping midway.
"Are you okay Yuuki?" Alice asked her with a raised brow. "You're not one to stop your assaults..."
"I'm fine" she tried to play it off before receiving an 'I don't believe you' look from the rest of the women and child. Letting out a whine in protest, she told them. "I'm just having the urge to hit Kai for some reason..."
"Now that you mention it..." Shino and Asuna muttered with a frown.
Eugeo only gulped audibly and felt like praying for his friend and brother. Poor guys are as good as dead when they come back.
Kazuto felt like shivering along with Kai (who was on the northern side of the facility) and didn't know why. What he did know, however, was that he was going to strangle Kai for this.
{Queue Song: "Move Slow" - Biometrix & The Tech Thieves}
Shaking his head and speeding forward, he brought forth his favorite sword. He had noticed that whenever he uses Byakuya, he doesn't lose as much stamina compared to any other weapon. Sure, kunais aren't really taxing, but they don't have the long-range that he needs. He's a swordsman through and through. Although...bows aren't that bad...
Clearing his head, he shot off once more. Left, right, up, down. He had repeated these patterns in quick succession as he saw three robots walking forward. He had chosen not to use any of its 'hidden powers' as the notes in the book Shouta had given to him had suggested. It may sound arrogant, but he felt that he could do without them. Especially when he doesn't know what the consequences are. Power is a double-edged sword after all. Heh.
He ran quickly as his eyes blazed with the concentric half-moons spinning lazily.
One. Two. Three.
The points kept on pilling up as he lost count of the robot's worth. Before he knew it, he was facing five robots that had trapped a mop of orange hair.
"Need any help?" he teased as he saw the teen's arms grow in size.
"No thanks!" she shouted with a huff as the five robots got pummeled.
"Whatever...big hands" he smirked as he dodged a crispy slap heading his way.
"Shut up you! You look like a girl!" she shot back with a smirk in place.
"I do not!" the ravenette looked scandalized. The nerve! Alice had told him that too!
A minute passed by with pure silence. It was broken when a tumbleweed spun by them. Then, they ended in a laughing fit with Kendo waving goodbye. Well, she was but then...
"Wait," she muttered. "Are you even supposed to be in this block?"
"Um...no?" he asked weakly as he saw her glare at him. "I guess I'll see you some other time?"
"Whatever" she muttered with crossed arms as she saw his figure getting smaller.
Let it be known that Izuku Midoriya was not an easily scared individual. He had faced the worse of Bakugo's explosions without flinching as much as his supposed 'friends' had. He would say that he has nerves of steel as he looked at death in the eyes. Did the sludge monster have eyes? He didn't remember. Looking at the people running around frantically like headless chickens had been funny the first few seconds. When he finally took notice of the cause of said frantic behavior, however, he felt like shaking in his red shoes.
"That's one giant robot..." he muttered to himself as he was paralyzed with fear.
"DON'T BE SCARED STUDENTS! THIS ROBOT HAD BEEN MADE...WITH SCIENCE!" the voice of Present Mic reached the ears of the students through the intercom.
'That's why we're scared!' everyone thought with a sweatdrop.
"Yeah, I'm not really got at science!" a random person admitted as he started running off. As if he was the catalyst, the rest of the students continued to run away in fear. Strands of dark blue hair reached Izuku's peripheral vision before it was gone.
'Think Izuku, think! What should you do in situations like this?' the greenette thought with sweat dripping down his forehead. 'Oh yeah, now I remember! Run!'
Just as he was about to do so, he heard a grunt of discomfort. Looking back, he saw the same girl from before trying to pry some of the wreckage from her leg. He really wanted to run away. Really tried to ignore her silents pleas even if it was against all he believes in. It hadn't worked. Now, here he was feeling his muscles burn from the inside out as he jumped high into the air, ready to punch the living daylights off the robot. He noticed it move its arm towards his unprotected form. Before it hit him, the arm seemed to have melted from the intensity of some blue flames that were intertwined with dancing lightning. Making matters more interesting, the leg of the robot had been dented by a red arrow shot from the top of a roof.
"Now Izuku!" he heard Kazuto shout weakly. He even sounded hurt.
Pushing away from the worry that wanted to creep onto his mind, his eyes shined with determination before blasting the head straight off the robot's hinges.
"Holy fuck!" Kai shouted in alarm as the colossal titan toppled over.
He was falling again. Nothing was stopping his descent. He was going to be a huge splatter on the floor and then-
He never got to finish that train of thought (again) as he felt a slap on his cheek. He was weightless. Nothing too heavy nor light. Just a floating existence. For a while anyway.
"Oof" he grunted as he tried to stand up. The thing is that he couldn't. Yeah...broken bones suck. Like really suck. That's why heroes have... (drum roll please!) RECOVERY GIRL!
With a single kiss on the forehead, the students were astonished to see all his wounds heal up in a matter of seconds.
"That's one crispy kiss" Kai muttered as Kazuto laughed lightly. Turning to see the duo, the students were worried at the state of the rave-haired teen. His eyes were bleeding! And, well, people aren't supposed to have half-moon irises!
"W-what happened to you!?" Izuki shouted in horror at seeing his friend in that state.
"Well..." the ravenette looked away while whistling.
(A few minutes before)
"That's a big ass robot!" Kai shouted with glee.
"Think we could buy one?" Kazuto tried to joke. He did but... "Why are you grinning like that?"
"Yeah, let's do that!" his friend smirked predatorily.
"No"
"No!? It's a robot! A giant ass robot!"
"I said no!"
"Fuck you..." the bluenette muttered under his breath.
Ignoring him completely, Kazuto looked at the heroes-in-training running away. He then took notice of his green-haired friend and grimaced. There was a girl stuck in the debris with many people ignoring her completely. Izuku was the only one to take notice. The two teens were in for a shock as they saw his body get covered in a red substance.
"This guys" Kai shook his head with a smirk.
"We've got to help him" Kazuto stated firmly as he thought back on all the weapons he read about. There was a particular one that lingered on his mind. It took a huge toll on him, but his friend would be in danger if he didn't act fast.
"Way ahead of you" Kai exclaimed as he shot a torrent of flames at the robot's arm as Izuku launched himself forward without a care in the world.
"Good" Kazuto sighed as his eyes closed. He then felt an itch in his eyes. When he opened them, his eyes took the shape of half-moons: the left eye being as white as snow while the right eye was as dark as night.
"He's getting closer" Kai muttered in slight worry.
"I ask you, one of the gods of the triumvirate, to lend me your aid. Make me your champion for this task and I shall give thee victory. To protect the innocent and condemn all evil, shoot forth: Shivadhanush (Pinaka)!"
Small particles surrounded Kazuto's hands as he held the invincible bow in a firm grasp. He then let go of the arrow and, as it sailed through the air, watched it kick up dust. Seeing as it had hit his target, he let out a sigh of relief before letting his left arm go numb.
Kai only let out a low whisted as he turned to face his roommate.
"Not bad" he smirked until he saw both his eyes cry tears of blood as his eyes had;t receded from their uses as they usually did. "We should get a nurse."
He may have said that nonchalantly, but he was panicking on the inside. If he dies, Midori is going to kill him! And then Alice, and Eugeo, and especially Ausna, and Shino!
With a nod, Kazuto let the bluenette sling a hand over his shoulder and jump down from the building, letting lightning surround him as he ran towards the nearest nurse.
"And well...here we are?" Kazuto smiled weakly as he tried not to cry. His eyes are burning! It's rubbing chile on them for fuck's sake!
"Teenagers..." Recovery Girl muttered as she kissed his cheek.
"Thanks!" he muttered before passing out.
"Aw, you beat me to it..." Izuku whined through the pain as he too passed out.
"Man..." Kai sighed "I'm tired too"
"Don't you dare pass out on me!" Recovery Girl looked at him sharply as he nodded stiffly.
Aye! I wouldn't want one of those crispy kisses anyway!"
Let it be known that the blue-haired, golden yellow-eyed Kai Asmotheos is a rebel to the bitter end.

Sorry if this isn't for your liking or any other thing, but for those of you that like this, I hope that you await the next chapter! Thank you!
