Many say to make peace, not war. They clearly haven't seen Kai. Man, he's such a troublesome manchild. But, I digress. Heroes are born to maintain peace and its stability, and yet, looking at the supposed 'heroes' running after fame and fortune instead of actually trying to save lives just makes me realize that there are no real heroes anymore. As a wise man had said before: Reality can be often disappointing. Hopefully, this class won't be that bad.

Two teens were walking in the halls of the giant school in order to find their class. Kazuto was just looking left and right with a thoughtful frown as students stared at them in hushed whispers. Well, mostly the girls, but it was still kind of weird. What was weirder was that his blue-haired friend was looking intently at his phone while passing by. Shrugging off the notion, Kazuto kept on looking around while trying to start a conversation.

"Hey Kai"

"..."

"Kai?"

"..."

"Look it's the latest release of Icha-Icha!" he whispered loudly as he pointed in a random direction.

"Where!?" the bluenette turned around so fast that a crack was heard as some teens grimaced. Noticing that there was nothing there, he shot a glare at his smirking friend.

"Heh" the ravenette snickered until his eyes landed on a huge door.

"That's one giant door..." he muttered with big eyes.

"No kidding"

"First, there's that giant robot and now there's this. Man, this school is loa-"

"Hey!" a voice reached their ears as they turned to see a teen with green-hair and emerald-green eyes waving at them.

"Yo!" the ravenette raised his arm with an eye smile.

"Sup" the bluenette muttered with a yawn.

"You guys are in the same class?" the green-haired teen questioned with a hopeful look in his eyes.

Who could blame him? From being the lowest of the low since elementary, he didn't have that many friends. In just a few weeks, he had found two people that never mocked or ridiculed him. It was such a fresh change of pace. Who knows? Maybe he'll be able to make more friends along the way!

"Yup" Kazuto nodded with a smile as he and Kai showed the teen their schedule as they heard him let out a relieved sigh.

"That's great!" he beamed.

"Uhuh, we should go in though. I want some sleep." Kai yawned tiredly as he went to open the door.

"Is he okay?" Izuku asked the ravenette in worry.

"Yeah, he's just not a morning person" he replied with a smirk.

"I'll fuckin' end you" Kai glared as he stifled another yawn.

"Don't care! My clock has been avenged!" Kazuto grinned cheekily while he ignored his friend's glare morphing into a scowl.

"Do I wanna know?" Izuku titled his head in confusion.

"If this feelin' flows both ways~" Kazuto sang with a grin.

"Arctic Monkeys is a classic..." the bluenette muttered as he opened the door.

"Hell yeah it is!"

"Wha-"

"You shall respect the seats of our seniors, not sit on it like it doesn't matter! We should uphold their honor!" they heard a stern voice call out. Out of the three, only Izuku stood ramrod as the bespectacled teen's eyes landed on his own. Before he ever got to speak, however, a female voice cut the guy off.

"It's you! Falling boy!" her voice set butterflies on the green-haired teen's stomach as a blush grew onto his face.

'Oh my god, it's her!' he thought in a slight cheer as he ignored Kai and Kazuto's snickering.

"H-hello" Izuku muttered as he shook from side to side shyly.

"You were the one that knew about the hidden message were you not?" the voice from before started out with affirmation as he ignored the teen's startled look.

"H-hidden message?" he stuttered out in confusion.

"Yes. You knew that destroying the robots didn't amount to much. It was the willingness to save others as an act of heroism that guaranteed your acceptance." Ida nodded with a small frown as he bowed. "I, Tenya Ida, am truly sorry for dismissing you so early. You are wiser than you look."

"N-no you've got it all wro-"

"Wise, smart, heroic...yeah that's our friend for ya! Always looking 'underneath the underneath' as they say." Kazuto smiled cheekily as he held his green-eyed friend in a one-armed hug.

"W-what are you doing!?" Izuku whispered frantically as the whole class looked their way. Well, most of the class anyway. Bakugo only glanced his way before scoffing and turning his head to the side in annoyance. Kai went to a random seat and practically dropped his head before knocking himself out.

"Barely my first day on the job and I'm already hating it." a voice let an exasperated sigh as Kazuto turned his head around in horror.

"Ay u Uchiwa wann-be (Hey you Uchiha wannabe)" Kai murmured inaudibly as his face was still on the table.

"What are you doing here!?" Kazuto shouted in a panic. 'I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm dead!'

"I take that back, this will be fun" the man smirked as he got out of his sleeping bag.

'What's with the hobo?' some of the class thought with a sweatdrop as Izuku stared at the man with a thoughtful look. He's seen the man somewhere, he just can't put his finger on it.

"My name is Shouta Aizawa and I will be the one taking care of you brats" the man stated blandly as some of the students deflated. Kazuto was too busy panicking and Kai just wanted to sleep.

"Now that that's covered, someone go and wake up sleeping beauty over there so we can go outside." he pointed at the sleeping bluenette.

"Fu-u (Fuck you)" he muttered with a groan.

"Before that, however, you will need to put on the clothes for the drill I have set in motion."

With that, Shouta walked out like a deadman as he heard the shuffling of his students catching up to him. He really hated his job. Damn Ares and his stupid decisions. He knew he hated kids, dammit!

(A few moments later)

The students were in their PE uniform consisting of a blue shirt and pants with some white stripes as decoration. Their faces were varied from determination, irritation, and boredom for the 'trials' that may lay ahead.

"Alright then," the teacher exclaimed with a dead tone. "Today will be based on your usage of quirks. This Quirk Apprehension Test will show me the extent of your quirk and its usage depending on how properly you utilize it."

'Oh no' one Izuku Midoriya shivered as he heard those words.

'What's up with him?' both Kai and Kazuto thought with an arched brow.

"You, blondy." Shouta pointed at Bakugo in a bored tone as he saw the teen walk up to him. "You had all been restricted from the usage of your quirks. Before we start, tell me. How long were you able to throw a ball in middle school?"

"Sixty-four meters" the ashy-blond stated in a bored tone of his own.

"Here." he gave the teen a ball. "Use your quirk to throw as far as you can."

"Alright." the teen smirked slightly as he got into position. With his legs spread apart and an intense look of concentrating marring his face, he got ready to throw. 'The ball is Deku, Deku is the ball. The ball is Deku, Deku is the ball.'

"DIE!"

The ball shot off at high speeds as the students looked on in shocked awe.

'Did he say die!?' Izuku thought as he paled considerably.

"Here's your score" Shouta showed the teen with a disinterested look. "Seven hundred meters."

Kai couldn't help but whistle at that.

"We'll get to use our quirks!?" a teen with blond hair and a lightning bolt running down his sides exclaimed in a cheer.

"Heck yeah!" another shouted in glee.

"This will be fun!"

"Oh yea-"was all that a teen could say before killing intent flooded the area.

"You think this is all fun and games do you?" Shouta glared at the now frozen students. "This isn't just a 'fun' test as you think it is. The weak ones are weeded out and taken out of the class. If you don't adapt, you won't survive a day because I won't tolerate any nonsense. Do I make myself clear?"

"H-hai!" the students shouted quickly.

'This is bad. He's their teacher! The man rumored to have expelled a whole classroom. Knowing Eraserhead, he'll find a flaw in a student and single them out completely! I hope you survive your first real test, young Midoriya' All Might thought with a slight grimace as he looked on.

Through a series of physical exercises in which some of the students did exceptional work, some more than others, it had shown Shouta who was the weak link in the school. The most exceptional of the bunch being Tenya Ida's speed, Ochako Uraraka's gravitational touch, and Bakugo's versatility with his explosive quirk. Of course, there were more, but he mostly focused on their usage. Looking at his protege, he only frowned as he noticed that although he had done well, he still lacked the knowledge of his quirk and how to fully use it. He might have to work on that along the way. As for Kai, the teen was able to beat Tenya Ida's time as lightning engulfed his feet and enabled him to increase his speed. The kid showed promise, that's for sure.

What had really worried him slightly was the green-haired teen. There was nothing wrong with him per se, but the lack of quirk usage had him thinking of a reason on why that was.

As they finally moved on, it was the teen in question that was to take the pitching test. So, with a sigh, Shouta gave him the ball and looked at him intently.

"It's your turn now" he stated as he walked a few steps back with a frown.

"O-okay" the greenette nodded shakily as he took the ball in his hands and got ready to throw it. Letting out a sigh, his emotions started twisting and turning in a full circle.

"Wow, Kacchan! You have a really awesome quirk!" his younger self exclaimed in awe. "When I get mine, we'll be able to become the number one heroes!" he cheered jovially.

That small moment of bliss was then broken as easy as glass.

"You don't have a quirk"

"I'm so sorry!"

"Did you hear!? Midoriya doesn't have a quirk! Ha!"

"Really!? What a loser!"

"Stupid quirkless normie!"

"As if I could ever be friends with you!"

Not all was bad, he assured himself as he kept on viewing his emotional rollercoaster twist and turn every which way.

"It's okay if you don't have a quirk! You're still the nicest person in our class!"

"Yeah! If only some of them learned to not hurt others..."

"I'm impressed Midoriya. You're quite the prodigy." the teacher praised him with sincerity.

Along with the bad, he thought of how his life had changed since then.

"Hey there! Need some help?" he remembered the raven-haired teen's smile as he offered him a hand.

"I know you could do better! Just believe in yourself okay? To desire results, you must take action in accordance to what you believe in." he heard him mutter as they sat down on the beach looking at the sky.

He remembered yellow-eyes filled with mischief.

"You've got to stand up for yourself you know?" the bluenette smirked during the week they discussed his training regimen.

"They would only look down on you if you let them. To better understand yourself, you should first know that things that don't change go extinct. If you want to survive, adapt to become a better you." he heard his stern voice resonate within him.

And finally...

"You too can become a hero!" the man smiled as he just stood there crying.

Finally, they had accepted him. He may not be born with a quirk, but he would make sure to mold it for his own purpose. His own symbol of peace in the form of hope.

Izuku's eyes hardened as he threw his arm forward with all his might as the ball flew...and landed a few inches away from his starting location.

'EEHH!?' was the thought of the whole class, including All Might, at seeing the anticlimactic event.

"W-what?" Izuku muttered as he looked at his hand in shock. He was broken out of his shock as he heard Kai shout 'Uchiha wannabe'.

Looking to the side, he took notice of Shouta's eyes turning red as he moved his hair to the side.

"T-that's where I know you from! Y-you're Eraserhead!" the green-haired teen shouted in alarm as the students started the gossip mill.

"Eraserhead? Never heard of him."

"I think I've heard it from somewhere..."

"As in the Eraserhead!?"

"I erased your quirk" Shouta stated blandly as he ignored the commotion. "At the rate your body was straining, your whole arm could have been broken within minutes. You can't hope to be a hero if all your quirk is good for is to cause self-harm"

All Might was biting his nails out of pure worry for his protege.

"Just give him another chance teach" Kazuto exclaimed in a confident voice that Shouta had never heard before. Sure, he had heard his arrogant and dismissive tones on a daily basis, but never a confident one. With his interest peaked, Shouta let out a sigh as he threw the ball at the teen once more.

"Alright. If this doesn't work, not only will he be expelled, but so will you for trying to keep him in class even though he can't control his quirk. Are you sure you can go through with this notion even if you know what's at stake?" he looked at him searchingly as the teen only nodded with a grin.

"Hai" Kazuto saluted playfully as the students looked at him in shock.

"Go ahead kid." Shouta nodded towards the frozen teen.

"Come on Izuku! I know you can do it!" the ravenette cheered as he saw him loosen up and give him a determined nod.

'I won't fail!' the green-eyed teen promised as he focused on his quirk once more.

"I think we should step back a little. He might add a bit more power in his quirk than necessary" Kazuto whispered to his classmates as Kai, Ida, and Ochako nodded. The rest of the class only looked a bit lost at the notion.

"What are you talking about!? Deku doesn't even have a quirk!" Bakugo sneered as he looked at the motionless Izuku. Didn't they see how his ball barely went past a few inches!? That raven-haired teen just lost his position for betting on a lost cause.

"Are you sure? I haven't known I had a quirk until a few months ago." Kazuto looked at the ashy-blond teen with a facade of disbelief.

"Really?" both Ida and Ochako asked him in wonder.

"Yeah, I can attest to the idiot. He got lucky that I wasn't taking him that serious during our spars or else he would've been fried a long time ago." Kai smirked in the ravenette's direction.

"Stuff it..." he muttered with a slight pout as the rest just laughed at his expense.

'Here goes' Izuku thought with a sigh as he concentrated on generating the maximum output for his quirk and transitioning it towards his fingertip in order to lessen the impact that his body will sustain. 'I won't fail!'

With that final thought, his finger lit up with red lines for a second as he threw the full brunt of his stored power forward. It was nothing more than a second later that a gust of wind was felt by everyone as they turned to look at the speeding projectile with dropped jaws.

"Told ya!" Kazuto smiled cheekily as Shouta let out a grin.

"So you did..." he muttered as he looked at the green-haired teen curling his singed finger.

"I-I did it!" he smiled confidently as his classmates looked at him in shock.

"What the hell!" a voice broke the silence as Kai let out a sigh in defeat.

"Here we go" he muttered lowly.

"Since when did you have a quirk, stupid Deku!? Have you been holding back on me all this time!? Answer me!" Bakugo shouted as he got restrained by Shouta's scarf. No one would say it, but looking at the man's glowing red eyes started to intimidate them as some of them looked away in slight fear.

"Now that it's all done with, I wanted to say that...I lied." Shouta smirked as he heard the students shout 'What!?'. "I knew that if I were to tell you this, you would show me your full potential. And potential you all possess. I would like to congratulate you on your quirk assessment. Classes start tomorrow." he finished with a sigh as he started walking away.

"Fuck yeah!"

No one knew who had said it, but with that single word, the rest of the class broke off in cheers as they started to walk back to class.

(Moments later)

"So," Kazuto grinned cheekily as he patted his friend's back. "How's that finger?"

"He Detroit Smash-ed the shit out of it. How do you think it'd feel?" Kai snickered as the greenette sputtered in indignation.

"I-it's not that bad! Recovery girl helped heal it!" he pouted while puffing his cheeks.

"Wel-"

"Fellow classmates!" they heard a person shout.

"Five bucks it's Ida" Kai muttered.

"No thanks, I already know it's him" Kazuto smiled cheerfully as he waved at the dark blue-haired teen. "Yo!"

"I am amazed at your quirk Midoriya. A power that raw must really be hard to control." Ida nodded sagely as the teen in question looked at him with a slight smile.

"S-something like that" he grinned slightly.

"Uhuh" Kai mocked slightly as he glanced at brown haired teen running towards them.

"Hey!" said brown haired teen chirped as Izuku's composure broke. Seeing as he couldn't talk, Kai took pity on him and nodded towards the girl.

Finally being able to compose himself, Izuku let out a squeaky "Hello".

"Not that I'm complaining, but what brings you guys here?" Kazuto asked with a small smile.

"I want to formally introduce myself once more." the bespectacled teen exclaimed as he bowed. "Hello, my name is Tenya Ida. I would like for us to be friends."

"I'm Ochako Uraraka!" the brunette chirped with a grin.

"M-my name is Izuku Midoriya. Nice to meet you." the greenette smiled shakily as they turned to look at the blue and black duo.

"The name's Kai Asmotheos" the bluenette smirked as he slung his backpack onto his arm.

"Kazuto Kirigaya, at your service." Kazuto bowed with a grin. "I feel that we will end up being really great friends."

"Yeah," Ochako's grin mirrored his own. "I think so too!"

"Y-yeah!" Izuku nodded with his own smile.

"Yes," Ida nodded with a serious look.

"You should relax once in a while Speedy. We're not holding you hostage...yet" Kai smirked as Ida sputtered.

"Don't scare them away!" Kazuto smirked as he started walking home. "We still have time to make them regret their decision..." he cackled madly as the other three teens backed away from them.

'Oh dear god' the three teens thought with a wince. Not even a whole week and they're feeling a chill run up their spine.

Regret it they will...

So, how was that? Not too bad I hope...
