Hey- Normal talking
Hey- Kazuto's inner monologue
'Hey'- People thinking
(Hey)- Inner circles mean places or time skips
~Flashback~
[Disclaimer: I don't own MHA or Sword Art Online]
Three teens were sitting by a lunch table, waiting for their two new friends to arrive. Kai was sprawled on the bench with his hand over his head to block the sun from hitting his eyes as Izuku took notes referencing a fight he saw of a superhero up close while Kazuto sat on top of the table holding his cheek in his left palm. There was a relaxing silence that was then broken up by the ravenette.
"Hey, Izuku?" Kazuto asked his green-haired friend as he looked at the sky.
"Yeah?" said teen looked at him with a questioning look.
"You never did tell us why blondie calls you Deku" he stopped gazing at the sky and turned to look at his friend with a piercing stare.
"O-oh that..." he muttered lowly as he forced a smile. "It's nothing important."
~Flashback~
"Hey guys, take a look! Izuku's name can be spelled as Deku!" a child with red eyes and ashy-blond hair pointed at a cup with a smirk as his crew looked at him in awe.
"Really?" one asked in wonder.
"Heck yeah! Bakugo had never been wrong before!" the other teen smirked cockily as Bakugo puffed his chest in pride.
"From now on, you'll be known as the quirkless loser, Deku!" he looked at the crying greenette with a smirk. In his childish mind, he knew he was right in doing what he did. Just like that man had said: only the strong could command the weak. He was strong! His quirk was a testament to that!
What he didn't know, was that he had severed all ties with his one true friend right then and there.
Izuku only forced a smile in return as he tried to remind himself that things would get better in time. He just had to be strong and p-perse- perse...continue on with a smile! Just like All Might! Yeah, that's what he'll do!
~Flashback End~
Izuku was a terrible liar and he knew it. So, as he took note of Kazuto nodding with a small smile of reassurance, he let out a relieved sigh. Even if they wanted to, they would never force him into explaining himself. He really ended with the lucky draw in the friends' department.
"No worries," Kai muttered with a small yawn. "Curiosity always did kill the crow..."
"It's a cat, you dumbass!" the ravenette huffed as he closed his eyes in annoyance.
Izuku could only laugh at their interaction. He knew they did it on purpose, but it only made the effect even better since they were trying to keep his mind off of whatever bad memory was eating at him.
"Really?" the bluenette asked blandly. "Just look at how much I care..."
"That's why you suck at English!" the ravenette shot back with a cocky smirk as he saw the teen stand up with a glare.
"Oh, so now we're comparing scores!?"
"U-um, guys?" Izuku muttered weakly as the teens started to bicker.
"Not much of a comparison if you ended up dead-last!"
"That's because I'm not a nerd!"
"Guys?"
"Even if you were, you would think it'd be too troublesome to pick up a pencil and actually do your work instead of sleeping in class!"
"Says the geek that got all A's in mechanical engineering!"
"Guys!?"
"It wasn't that hard!"
"It had math in it! Of course it was hard!"
"What'd you expect!? It's called mechanical engineering for a reason! You have to use math to obtain accurate measurements!"
"Oh yeah!? Why don't you go home and use this 'protractor' thing to measure your-"
"GUYS!"
"WHAT!?" the two teens rounded on their emerald-eyed friend who only glared slightly.
"You're making a scene!" he muttered with a blush as all his will power got shot down by the glances they were receiving. Just as the black and blue duo was about to retort, the bell rang.
'He's gotten bolder' Kazuto thought with a hidden smile as he went to grab his backpack.
'It's only a matter of time before he finds his inner strength' Kai added on with his own smirk as the three started walking to their class.
On their way there, Kazuto was oblivious to the looks they received as he plastered on an aloof expression. He looked around and found a class similar to his own with the exception being the change in letters.
'Class 1-B huh? Interesting...'
"Hey, you!" he heard someone shout at him as he turned around.
"Yes?"
"You're not part of our class!" the person shouted with a frown as his blond hair fluttered around dramatically.
"Thank you captain obvious," Kai mocked with a smirk. "I never knew that! I'm so glad there's someone like you to stop me from going to a class I knew I wasn't part of!"
"Don't patronize me!" the blond shouted as he pointed at the bluenette.
"Hey, Izuku?" Kazuto turned to look at his green-haired friend with a smile as he saw his tensed form.
"Y-yes?" he asked shakily as he tried to ignore the blond's glare.
"Why don't you hurry up and get to class?" seeing as the greenette was about to deny his request, he only shook his head with a calming smile. "I just want you to save us some seats okay? We'll catch up with you later."
"O-okay" the teen finally relented and started walking away with a small wave.
Making sure Izuku was at a safe distance, Kai let out a sigh as he leaned on a wall with his hands in his pockets. Kazuto still had that ever-present smile plastered on his face as he turned to look at the blond.
Before said blond continued to mock them, he felt a chill run up his spine as he imagined a murder of crows flying around, cawing loudly at him like predators to its prey. What made it even worse was that once he felt the temperature drop, he swore he could have seen a white dragon spew fire as its snort morphed to a savage grin.
"That wasn't so nice...was it?" the ravenette muttered with an eye smile as he saw him break down into a cold sweat. Was it him, or was the guy's smile scarier than the bluenette's glare?
"N-no" he muttered weakly as his knees started to buckle under the strain. "No, it wasn't."
"Cool!" Kazuto chirped as the killing intent receded and the blond let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "Now that the matter is settled, can we go now?"
The blond only managed a shaky nod as Kai smirked and started walking away.
"Thanks!" the ravenette smiled as he followed his friend.
"See ya" the bluenette waved mockingly.
A few seconds later, a face peaked from the side of the classroom. Her orange-colored hair was tied in a neat pony-tail that only enhanced her stare of irritation directed at her classmate.
"What did you do now?" she asked with an exasperated sigh.
"I-I pissed off the wrong people..." he mumbled as his face paled.
"When do you not, Monoma?" she pinched the bridge of her nose as she pulled the blond into the classroom.
"Sorry Kendo"
"Well, that was fun" Kazuto smiled cheerfully.
"Hell yeah it was!" Kai smirked cockily as his raven-haired friend opened the door. All eyes were on them as they took a look at their classmates. They would have taken notice of them sooner, but they were too busy trying to survive.
"Sup" Kai raised a hand as he took on a lazy posture with half-lidded eyes. Two of their classmates, a pinkette and a blond with a lightning bolt design on his hair, waved cheerfully.
"He-" Kazuto was cut off as a man ran through the door.
"I am...coming in like a normal person!" a boisterous blond with two rabbit-like strands of hair hung from the door as his cape fluttered dramatically.
"It's All Might!" the class shouted in shock that then turned to awe as they fawned over him.
"Look at his costume!"
"It's awesome!"
"I can't believe All Might's teaching this class!"
"No way," Izuku muttered with wide-eyes. "Is that...his silver age costume!? I can't believe I'm seeing it! He had only wore it..." he lost himself in his own musing while All Might soaked up all the praises with a grin.
Two teens, however, weren't as thrilled.
"AAHH!" the ravenette shrieked as he ran to his seat beside his green-haired friend. "An old man in a really skin-tight suit!"
"My eyes! I'm going to bleach them! Dear god!" his bluenette friend shouted in disgust as he covered his eyes.
"Hey!" the blond man shouted as he feigned hurt which was left ignored as the bluenette ran around with his eyes closed.
"Bleach, I need bleach!"
"Quiet down already" a monotone voice stopped the bluenette dead in his tracks as he, and the rest of the class, turned to look at their homeroom teacher.
"Hello, Eraserhead!" All Might shouted loudly with a grin.
"All Might," the man nodded as he got out of his yellow sleeping bag. "Why are you early?"
"Early? Why it is..." he cut himself off as he looked at the clock on the wall. "ten in the morning!?"
"Yes. And unless you rescheduled with Mic to teach English on his behalf, you could pick them up at twelve."
"I...will leave the door like a normal person" All Might muttered in defeat as he walked out gloomily.
The rest of the class just looked on with sweatdrops as their teacher crawled back into his sleeping bag. Just as Ida was going to ask about the lesson plan, another blond man with his hair spiked upwards in a tuft walked in with a grin.
"Hellooo there, class! My name is Present Mic and I'll be your English teacher!" the man shouted loudly.
His students only sighed with a single thought in mind.
'This day just keeps on getting weirder...'
As the day progressed, the students found out that although it's a school founded on the generating of prodigious heroes, it is more like any regular school course. Some of them were bored out of their minds. Others, like Kai, were waiting for the class to end when their math teacher stepped in. So many numbers and equations...
Now, here the students are in their school's cafeteria getting ready for their hero course up next.
"Oh my god...It's Lunch Rush!" Izuku gapped with stars in his eyes.
"Hello there!" the hero waved slightly as he made food at a fast pace. "Here's your lunch!"
"Thanks!" Kazuto chirped as he dragged his greenette friend away from the hero. Seriously, can't he stop fanboying for a second? He forgot to eat breakfast in the morning for god's sake!
"Can't believe you forgot to eat breakfast. Tch, loser." Kai smirked as he laid his head on the table.
"Well sorry for trying to wake you up!" the ravenette muttered with a huff as he took a seat by Ida while Izuku sat by Ochako and Kai.
"Hn" was the only reply he received as the brunette beside Izuku waved at him cheerfully.
"I can't believe All Might will be our teacher" Izuku mused with a smile.
"I know right? I mean, I knew this school had the best classes and the like, but I never thought that the All Might would actually get to teach us!" Ochako exclaimed with a wave of her arms.
"I still think he's weird..." Kai muttered as he and Kazuto shuddered.
"You can't just go and disrespect your teachers. You should be mindful of your seniors and treat them with the respect they deserve." Ida pointed at him with a stern frown.
"Whatever...Mr. President" Kai snickered as the bespectacled teen looked stumped.
"I never did congratulate you for your win, did I?" Kazuto thought as he put his cheek on his palm.
"There is no need! I only acted in accordance to the issue at hand!" Ida denied with a smile.
"And that's what led you to be the first choice in our book! Right, Deku?" Ochako smiled cheerfully as Kazuto spat his drink at the sleeping Kai.
"The hell man!?"
"Sorry!" the ravenette panicked as his eyes set on the blushing greenette. "When did this happen!?"
"W-when did what happen?" Izuku played dumb as he turned to the side with his blush still intact.
"Your *ahem* 'nickname'" he wagged his eyebrows suggestively.
"Oh! I told him that it was what Bakugo had called him before! I thought it was cute and he said the name was fine so..." Ochako finished with a grin.
"Weak" Kai snickered as he looked at the blushing Izuku.
"D-don't start with me!" he pouted with a glare.
"Hn"
"Annoying isn't he?" Kazuto whispered to his friend with a smile.
"Yeah," Izuku nodded shakily as he glanced at the yawning bluenette. "I don't know how you can deal with him."
"Me neither..."
"Oi, I can hear you!"
"Anyway," Ida started off. "What do you all think will happen if All Might is to be our teacher?"
"For one, hero course won't be that easy..." Kazuto stated with a sigh.
"It would most likely focus on all the aspects of being a hero" Izuku muttered as he put his hand in his mouth with a thoughtful look.
"Aspects?" Ochako tilted her head to the side.
"Ah, I see" Ida nodded with a frown. "Scenarios, practical tests, and the foresight of catastrophic events."
"Oh"
"Either that or the ability to make split-second decision under pressure" Kai inputted as he turned his head to the side.
"The lazy bum may be right on that." Kazuto sighed as he looked at the clock.
Doing the same, his friends started to get up and walk back to class.
"Only one way to find out" Izuku stated with a shaky grin.
"I am...coming in like a normal person again!" the same blond man from before walked in with an air of confidence.
"Yeah!" the class cheered as the man stood proudly.
"We know" Kazuto and Kai exclaimed blandly as they saw the man twitch slightly.
"Welcome to the most important class in UA: Hero Training! Or as I'd like to call it, Hero 101!" he shouted as they cheered. "I know you've all seen me during class in the morning, but let's cut to the chase, shall we? I would like for all of you to suit up and meet up at Training Ground Zero!"
With that, the students bolted out of the room with their suitcases in hand.
'Ah, to be young and energetic' All Might mused as he too walked out of the classroom.
(A few moments later)
"As you all know, clothes make the pros ladies and gentlemen, and behold, you are the proof!" the blond man exclaimed as the class walked out with different color schemes and clothing material. "Where are your other three classmates?" he asked while looking around.
"Here" a bored voice exclaimed as the class turned to look at a teen with a white mask and triangular marks on its cheeks. What caught their attention was the simplicity of the clothing: light blue armor for his frame, dark blue combat boots, and a trench coat with the design of a white dragon biting its tail. What they didn't know, was that the armor was composed of the same synthetic material as his raven-haired friend's suit.
Simply put: the clothing is light as hell, comfortable, and really durable. They had tested Kazuto's idea with combustive fireballs and enhanced throwing knives that would have rendered anyone else immobile.
(It basically looks like regular ANBU armor with the light blue taking up most of the top half and dark blue taking the bottom half with boots instead of sandals)
The teen next to him had all black ANBU armor with a black mask that hung on his neck. Those staring at the mask took note that the mask itself would cover the bottom portion of his face and nose. Interestingly enough, there was a really small button on the left cheek. The clothing helped the teen look rather intimidating as he smiled their way.
Lastly, to their relief, a green-haired teen came running with a light green suit that had white lines over and on the side of his arms and legs with white gloves. Around his waist, there was a red belt buckle. Finishing his look, he had shin and knee pads and a bunny like top that gave light to his mouth covering smile.
"Is that a tanto!?" their blond classmate gasped in awe.
"Yep," the bluenette smirked as he took off his mask and threw the covered tanto to him.
"Awesome..." he muttered as he waved it around.
"Er- right!" their teacher shouted to gain their attention. "Let's see..."
Kai had to hold back a snicker as he saw the man take out cards from his pocket. Superhero he may be, but it seems that teaching isn't one of his strong suits.
"I would want for you to start with an exercise that helps me better understand your capabilities. This facility is used for such events. Behold!" the man shouted enthusiastically as he threw the cards to the side. Pointing a finger at the building, he then beckoned the class to move forward as they saw two boxes with the words 'Hero' and 'Villain'.
All Might took notice of their curiosity and couldn't help but grin.
"Interesting isn't it? This small box will help determine your fate in the next battle at hand!" the man pumped his fist in the air as the students felt anxious.
"That felt kind of ominous..." the blond from before muttered as he felt a shiver run up his spine.
"The feeling of dread only gives way for a hero to truly improve." a black-clad figure with a bird face stated strongly with a voice filled with conviction.
"Nice cape" Kazuto smiled his way cheerfully.
"Thank you"
"Ehem" All Might coughed as the students saw him put his hands inside the white and black boxes. "As I said before, these two boxes will determine your identity for this match. You are either the Hero or the Villain in this team exercise. So, without further ado..."
The students looked at each other in trepidation, or anticipation, as the first two names were called.
"Hero...Izuku Midoriya! Villain...Katsuki Bakugo!" Kai and Kazuto couldn't help but grimace slightly as they saw their green-haired friend tremble in fear. They knew how much he wanted to avoid his past tormentor. It seems fate was screwing with the teen specifically.
'Must be my bad luck catching up' they both thought with a small grin. Cynicism is truly something you can't truly break out of.
"As for the other pair, Ochako Uraraka will be the heroin and Tenya Ida will be the Villain!" All Might finished with his grin still in place. "Now that that's settled, the rest of you please come with me into the viewing room. As for the villains, please enter the building and prepare to defend what's inside!"
Kazuto patted his green-haired friend.
"You got this okay?" he smiled slightly as he saw him nod shakily.
"R-right!"
"Hey" Kai stated blandly as he went to talk with the ashy-blond teen.
"What the hell do you want?" said teen asked roughly with a scowl.
"Try not to hurt him too much" the bluenette smirked as he walked away and joined his raven-haired friend. Well, not before giving Izuku a confident nod. 'They both have to grow. What better way than to let their emotions run wild?'
"Tch" Bakugo scoffed as he walked into the building.
(Viewing Room)
"And here we are!" the blond hero shouted boisterously.
"This place looks cool!"
"Wow, the funding for this school is insane!"
"Does anyone live here?" Kazuto's eyes danced with mirth.
"The rent must be cheap" Kai snickered along with his raven-haired friend.
"Through the safety of this room, we will be able to evaluate your classmates based on performance." All Might stated seriously. "Heroes, can you hear me?"
"Hai!"
"Villains, can you hear me?"
"Hai"
"All right, then...begin!"
(With the Villains)
"How shall we go about this? We are heroes, not evil bred villains!" Ida muttered with a frown as he crossed his arms.
"Tch. Don't think too much on it." the ashy-blond stated with a glare as he started walking away. "Deku's mine to deal with."
He honestly didn't know when he had gotten so bitter. Where had all the pride he held on his quirk gone? It had to be that shit-nerd! Everything was better when he was in elementary! All the praise, the smiles, the bravado...
Where had it all gone!? They found out that Deku was quirkless, useless in his cause, and yet...
And yet he had felt relieved! The kids would help mock the loser! Isolate him and single him out like the weaker person he is. Make a pariah out of him like the scapegoat he is supposed to be. That was what he thought. "The strong should command the weak" he had heard.
That wasn't what happened.
Every single fucking time. It never happened.
"We still care about you!"
"Yeah! Even if you don't have a quirk, you're still our friend!"
"You're still the nicest kid, Midoriya!"
Why him dammit!? He had charisma too! He was great too!
"You only hurt us!"
"Yeah, such a big bully!"
"He made Midoriya cry again!"
"That's all he's good for..."
The whispers stung. It had hurt so much that he let his hate roll in. The catalyst? Izuku fucking Midoriya.
"I'll be your friend!"
"Take my hand, Kacchan!"
"Wow, you're so cool!"
"When I get my quirk, I'll be able to help you!"
Why why why why WHY!? He should have abandoned him a long time ago! He had only treated him badly. He should have left how they all did. After all, he was just a problem child. As aggressive as a ticking time bomb.
Why didn't he leave!? Why persist!?
He had felt relieved that he didn't. He really wanted to patch things up. Wanted, but couldn't. Would he truly believe that he had changed? That he genuinely wanted to be friends now that they were going to UA? A part of him did, a part of him felt disgusted in even thinking that way.
When he approached him that day, he just wanted to congratulate him. To let go of the past and start anew, as friends.
And what did he do!?
"If you want a quirk so badly, why don't you jump off the roof and pray for it in your next life?"
The words just came out...
The next words still didn't hurt as much as it did now.
"I'm tired of being your punching bag, Bakugo. I promise that I'll grow strong enough to surpass you!"
He hated Izuku Midoriya the same way he hated himself. He had not only lost himself in his arrogance but lost the only person that could have been a friend to him, a brother, kin.
Now, as the thundering of his heavily armored boots jingled with a menacing chime, he let loose and started to run with renewed vigor. A sense of purpose fueling him for once in his life since elementary.
(With the Heroes)
Why does life hate him? Izuku Midoriya had no idea what god he had angered. Out of all the could-be villains, it had to be Katsuki Bakugo. Why? Hadn't he suffered enough?
"Are you okay, Deku?" Ochako looked at him in worry as she saw him breathe deeply.
"I-i'm fine" he smiled weakly to reassure her. She still worried, but most of it had dissuaded due to his smile.
"If you say so..."
"Yeah"
"How should we go about this?" she cocked her head to the side in confusion.
"Knowing Bakugo as much as I do," the teen muttered bitterly. "He'll start running in our direction once we get in. Do you think we could get higher up in the building? Could you find another way?"
"Yeah, I could do that!" she chirped with a grin as he smiled back.
"That would minimize our time completely! Thank you!" he smiled behind his mask.
"S-sure" Ochako whispered with a blush as she turned to the side. Where had all that confidence come from?
"Alright, we can start by getting on that window!" he pointed to the right side of the building that held a window to the third floor.
"Hai!" she nodded strongly as they went through the window and into the building.
"Now that it's settled, we can start by lookin-"
"DDDDEEEEKKKKUUUU!"
A shout was heard by both teens as they jumped away just in time to avoid an explosion.
(Viewing Room)
"Starting off with a bang I see," Kai smirked as he leaned on the wall.
"A cataclysmic tide of surging emotions at bay" the bird-faced teen exclaimed solemnly.
"Ain't that the truth..." Kazuto muttered with a sigh.
The rest of the class looked on while All Might felt like biting his nails.
"Are you okay?" Izuku muttered with a cough.
"Yeah" Ochako coughed slightly.
As both teens stood up, they took notice of the ashy-blond teen looking at them, or more specifically Izuku, with a sneer.
"Found you Deku" the teen smiled wildly. "Let's continue from where we left off!"
"Go Ochako!" the greenette shouted in urgency as he ran towards the blond.
"R-right!" she shouted quickly as she sprinted forward.
"Oh no you don-" Bakugo was going to shout before a surprise attack cut him off.
Looking on, he only got to see a white-gloved hand grasp his arm and flip him over in a fell swoop.
Bakugo let out some spit as he hit the ground roughly.
"Your fight's with me!" the emerald-eyed teen shouted.
"Damn you!"
Bakugo got back up and let off an explosion in anger. He needed answers and If he had to pummel him to the ground for them, then so be it!
He was about to shoot forward in a fit of rage, but he noticed that the teen ran away. Even with his quirk, he's still a coward.
What he didn't know was that Izuku was trying to find a way to activate his quirk. The idea of its usage was still iffy, but he was still trying to grasp the notion to the best of his abilities. All Might really wasn't the teaching type...
It the viewing room, said man sneezed rather violently.
"Where are you...DEKU!" he heard Bakugo shout his 'name' in repressed anger. Honestly, if someone were to tell him that he is the embodiment of rage itself, he would believe them.
"COME ON OUT ALREADY!"
'Now!' he thought as he ran forward with tape in hand.
"What the!?" Bakugo shouted as he saw him wrap the tape around his arm. "Get OFF ME!"
An explosion got set off near the teen as the greenette tried to maneuver himself over the flaming inferno.
"Even...through all this time...you're still the same hothead!" Izuku shouted in between grunts of pain as his arm was singed.
"And what right do you have to belittle me, huh!?"
"I have every right to do so Kacchan!" he heard Izuku spit out with anger lacing his tone. If he were honest, it almost made him lose his concentration. Izuku Midoriya feeling anger just felt wrong. What made it worse is that it was all directed at him. Him!
(Viewing Room)
"Hey, All Might?" Kai asked as the man looked at him questioningly. "Do you have a microwave?"
Thrown off balance at the randomness of the question, the man could only nod slowly. Even the class stopped to look at him with questioning looks of their own.
"Cool. I have a bag of kernels so..." he motioned towards the microwave.
"Popcorn!" Kazuto cheered as he turned to look at the screen with a wince.
"You know it!"
(With Ida)
"What is the essence of a Villain?" the teen thought with a frown hidden behind his armor. "Is it the laughter?"
He let out a low pitched maniacal laughter that almost made the hidden Ochako stumbled.
"MUAHAHAHAHA! Yes! The villainess frame is derived from their laughter! HAHA! Heroes, fear me!"
"Pfft." Ochako couldn't hide any longer as she tried, valiantly, to hold in her laughter. Alas, she couldn't.
"Ah, the hero thinks she can hide from me does she!?" Ida shouted in a dramatic fashion. "Never the less, my experience in evil schematics helped me find you! Now, come hero! Try and take away my most precious machinery!"
Ochako could only giggle as she tried to concentrate once more.
That was rather easy as they both felt the building rumble from an explosion.
"What is Bakugo doing?" Ida thought out loud. It was that lapse of forgetfulness that almost cost him the victory. Using his quirk, the engines in his legs came to life as he took the bomb away from Ochako's prying hands.
"Not so fast hero!"
"Actually, it's heroin" Ochako pointed out.
Ignoring her completely, Ida kept on with his monologue.

(With Bakugo)
"Answer me already!" he shouted as he let off an explosion near the hidden teen.
"What is there to answer!? You were mean before and you still are now!" Izuku shouted almost as loudly as the teen. All the pent up aggression that he had accumulated throughout the years overflowed like a volcano. Why should he try and act like the victim now!? And why should he care!?
"Why did all the kids warm up to you!? You were weak! You still are! So why...why did they love you so easily!?" he raged as he punched a random area with his explosive nitroglycerin coated fist.
"So what!? Is that why you made my life so miserable!? To make yourself superior!?" the green-haired teen shouted as his echo carried around in the wind.
"It's because I was jealous!" the ashy-blond shouted to the heavens as Izuku looked on in a daze.
"Jealous?" he muttered silently. "Jealous of what!? Why would you be jealous if you had all the attention!? Perfect little Bakugo, the star of the school. The boy to beat, the boy that could do nothing wrong. The one that had a perfect shot a being a hero!"
"And yet, you had friends! They never feared you, never looked at you in a fake sense of awe in order to not get pummeled, never thought of you as a villain!" Bakugo screamed as he saw something red by the corner of his eye. With a scowl, he ran forward and set off another explosion.
"That was your own fault!" Izuku shouted as he ran away and turned another corner.
"You think I didn't know that already!? I never did, and never will have any friends! They only leave!"
"I never wanted to walk away from you! I really thought of you as a friend! And what did you do!?" the greenette shouted as he decided to stop hiding.
Bakugo turned a corner and came face to face with the emerald-eyed teen's determined form.
"It was a mistake!" Bakugo shouted in self-deprecation.
"A simple 'mistake' won't dismiss your words! You had told me to jump! Don't you remember that!? Or had you just dismissed that 'mistake' just like everything else in your life!?"
"Don't you dare...think so lowly of me!"
In a single motion, Bakugo got his right arm and put it forward as a hatchet opened up. All he had to do was pull the trigger. Pull, and all this would be over. All this and-
"Then what!? Let bygones be bygones!? Well," Izuku looked on with a frown as he took a fighting stance. "Too little too late!"
(Viewing Room)
The room was tensed as the aura of the black and blue duo felt suffocating.
This is it. It all came down to this in the end. No matter what, this would help them out in the long run.
"I know, I know, I know! I messed up, I get that! I just- just!" Bakugo couldn't get the words out as his left hand tightened around the trigger.
"Until you actually feel the way you say, I won't ever forget! Not now, not ever!" Izuku roared as he ran forward. Silhouettes of himself and Bakugo as kids popped up beside them respectively as their fists connected.
"Damn you...DEKU!"
"SMAAASSHH!"
Two things happened at once. The ashy-blond teen let out an explosion that would have burned anything in sight at the same moment the teen used his left hand to shield his face while using his right hand to launch the explosion upward.
"Now Ochako!" Izuku shouted loudly through the intercom. He only heard a "Right!" as he locked eyes with his former tormentor.
"THE WINNERS ARE...THE HEROES!"
This was his win now. With that thought, he only felt darkness overwhelm him.
(A few moments earlier)
"I have a plan." she heard Izuku mumbled through the intercom. "When I give the signal, make sure you lock onto any object to ensure the debris doesn't get in your way. During that time, would you be able to grab the bomb?"
"Yeah" she nodded strongly.
"Alright then..." the greenette's voice cut off.
Minutes later, she heard "Now Ochako!".
Letting out a sigh, she used her hands to pry a stationary construct from the bottom as an explosion broke through the building.
"Here batter batter batter!" she shouted as she threw the debris towards the panicking Ida.
"This wasn't part of the plan! Bakugo what's going on there? What do I do!?" the bespectacled teen rambled on as he stumbled.
"I got it!" Ochako smirked as she propelled herself forward using her zero gravity. With a cheer, she let her hands touch the bomb just in time to hear All Mght's voice in their intercoms.
(A few moments later: Viewing Room)
"Alright!" All Might's booming voice broke the silence. "Can anyone tell me what we can dissect from this scene? Who were the most valuable players in the game?"
"Certainly" a feminine hand rose from the silent class as the teen's pitch-black hair fluttered in between her serious expression.
"Ida should be the only MVP in this scenario as both Midoriya and Bakugo were stuck in their personal vendetta to notice the damage done in the room. If the bomb were motion-sensitive, it would have blown up a long time ago. To add on, Uraraka had the element of surprise that was then dispelled as she took notice of Ida's formulating persona. Henceforth, Ida himself is the only person to have kept their facade throughout the performance. Case and point, he is the MVP of the event." the teen finished with a nod.
"W-why thank you, Ms. Yaoyorozu for your analysis!" All Might stuttered out as the class looked at her in awe.
"Dude, is it bad that I imagined her as a teacher?" Kazuto whispered to his blue-haired friend. She really had the analysis down pat!
"Kinky" Kai smirked as he thought of many explicit scenarios. He only received an elbow from his friend.
"Aww. Well done, Ida!" Ochako chirped as she gave the crying teen a thumbs up.
"T-thank you!" the bespectacled teen sobbed gleefully.
Bakugo only looked away in disgust. Making eye contact with Kai for a silent second, he saw him nod towards him.
"Now that that's covered, onto the next ones!" All Might cheered with the class.
The events that transpired were either one-sided or finished rather quickly.
The blond with a lightning bolt let out a torrent of yellow thunder that rolled off in waves as the teen with earlobes the shape of earphones motioned for him to move.
Moving on, the class took notice of a teen covered in ice telling his partner to step out of the building. Being a curious bunch, the people in the viewing room looked on.
"This will take less than a minute" they heard him murmur softly as his feet touched the ground.
True to his word, the building was encased in ice. Truly, it was a beauty to glance at as his small footfalls were heard in the silent room. In a single second, his hands touched the bomb while All Might called it their win.
The moment after, Kai was paired up with the sparkly blond from the entrance exam.
'Dear god...' the thought in slight amusement as he saw him use his stomach laser as a slide to propel himself forward.
When he noticed him being in a bind, he coated his feet in lightning and shot forward, tanto in hand.
"Nagashi!" was what he shouted as his sword sprang to life and caused the 'Heroes' to stand straight as their systematic circuits stopped working. Finally, he nodded towards his partner to trap them using the tape. Once he heard the name being called for victory, he let a smirk slip onto his lips as he let the lightning recede.
"Vicious" Kazuto smiled his way as he leaned beside the building.
"Aren't I always?" the bluenette smirked as he walked away.
"Good luck!" the ravenette waved towards the raven-haired girl and purple shorty as they went inside the building.
"I still can't believe you don't have a partner..." the purple-haired teen smirked cockily. "This is a sure win!"
"Oh?" somehow, someway, the teen's smile looked less friendly as the shorty from before scurried onward.
"Good luck" he heard the girl, Momo, smile slightly.
With a sigh, All Might's voice was heard as he signaled the test to begin after a couple of minutes.
"Don't go overboard?" he muttered with a smirk. "Never heard of that."
As he entered the building, he decided to push the button on his mask. The people in the viewing room were able to notice his mask now covering his left side with a black-colored scope covering his left eye. The mask only augmented the eerie vibe they were feeling.
It was only an augmented scope to make him see from afar, but it still looked scary.
"Okay then," Kazuto smirked as he materialized something that he then hid beside his vest pocket. Kai smirked at the item being used. Hey, he did help create it after all.
The ravenette took notice of nothing being out of place. In fact, no one came out of the doors to attack him.
Thinking of them not being frontal assault, he ran forward with renewed vigor as he reached the door with the bomb, smile still in place.
Materializing a kunai, he whispered "Enhanced Armament" as the tip of the knife sharpened into black tendrils. Throwing the kunai forward, he then switched to throwing the item he hid from before. With an explosive *BOOM*, he smirked cheekily. Shock Charges really were the next best thing!
Coughing was heard in the Villain's room as he threw two more of them forward. Hearing a gasp come from the purple-haired teen from before, he couldn't help but chuckle slightly.
"Come forth, Byakuya!" he whispered as the black sword materialized. With the black-themed clothing, his left side being covered by a black mask, and a black sword that glinted in the light, he had all the aspects of a grim reaper.
"So, are we going to do this the hard way, or the hard way?"
"I-isn't there an easy way?" Mineta asked weakly.
The sword seemed to move around in the darkness as the two teens in question gulped audibly.
"Yeah and that's what happened" Kazuto chuckled as he talked to his green-haired friend who had both his arms covered from the damage.
Wow, I sure missed a lot!" the greenette muttered as he walked back into class. He didn't make it two steps in before being bombarded.
"Your quirk's so cool!"
"The fight was dope man!"
"It sure was manly!"
"And the explosions!"
"It wasn't as great as mine!" Mineta smirked as they turned to him.
"You do remember that the scream wasn't Yaoyorozu's right?"
Mineta could only grumble as the class chuckled.
With the swing of the door, they turned to look at the blond with a lightning bolt flirt with a clueless Ochako.
"So, how about we go and catch a-"
"Deku, you're okay!" the brunette chirped as she went with her green-haired friend.
"B-but I-" the blond was about to continue but felt a cold sensation at the back of his neck as he saw Kai's predatory smirk.
"I'm sure she has other plans" the bluenette motioned towards the brunette fussing over the greenette's injures.
"R-right!"
"Where's Bakugo?" they heard Izuku question as he then nodded and walked away.
"What do you guys think that was about?" Ochako muttered with a tilt of her head.
"Something important" Ida exclaimed with a sage-like nod "Something really important."
(Kazuto's Room)
"Hey Eugeo!" he chirped as he flopped on his bed. "Yeah, it's me."
[{What's up? It's like...eleven in the night dude!}]
"Remember that game where you talked about a sword capable of creating ice?"
[{Yeah? What about...it}] he heard his friend stifle a yawn as he turned to the side.
"Can you tell me the name and how it works?"
[{Glad you asked! See, I found 'Blue Rose' on one of my walks in the Mountain Range near the edge of...}]
With a renewed vigor, Kazuto stayed up all night taking notes on his friend's favorite sword in the game. He still can't believe he left his AmuSphere back at home! With anime tears running down his cheeks, he was ready to not get any sleep. Once his friend started talking, he never ever stops.
We never got to hear what Izuku told Bakugo, but from the small tidbits we could get, it may be possible for them to rebuild the friendship they might have had. Well, it mostly depends on blondie. Other than that, I could say that so far, the class was going well. Way too well for my liking though...
