Annabeth

Annabeth was talking with Jason in New Rome at a coffee shop. Annabeth and Percy's anniversary was coming up, so they decided to talk about that. That quickly turned into Piper talking about her first anniversary with Jason.

"Well, the day started with a nice breakfast he prepared. Actually, I wouldn't call it nice, but he tried. He couldn't even make scrambled, eggs, and he tried to make it in the form of a heart! But anyways, we hung out at our apartment until dinner. He had reservations in Paris at a new restaurant that opened up there. And after that, he had a gorgeous picnic set up at the top of a hill with a fantastic view of the city, where he gave me my present, which was a heart locket with a picture of me and him together, it was so sweet. To sum it all up, it was a fantastic first anniversary."

Annabeth blinked in shock at all the work Jason must have done to set that all up for Piper.

"Wow. For my and Percy's first anniversary, he took me to a McDonalds."

Now it was Piper's turn to be surprised at her answer. "Seriously? A McDonalds?"

"Yep. Fortunately, he made it up to me by setting up a lovely second anniversary."

"Yeah yeah, that's great. But a McDonalds? Not even Burger King?"

Annabeth rolled her eyes at Piper still hung up on the McDonalds. "Yes, a McDonalds. Since you seem to want to keep talking about it so much, I should tell Jason that for your next anniversary you should go to McDonalds?"

Piper frantically shook her head with wide eyes and Annabeth laughed lightly at her reaction. "Gods no Annabeth!"

"Alright, I'll spare you this time Pipes."

"Oh thank goodness."

They both looked at each other for a little bit before laughing, then immediately stopping when they heard a voice.

"Excuse me ladies, McDonalds, is a fine establishment with brilliant and marvelous cuisine and you, Annabeth, were lucky to be taken there."

Annabeth instantly knew it was Nico when the voice started complimenting McDonalds with such adoration and rolled her eyes after she and Piper faced him.

"Of course you think that, I bet you took Will there for your anniversary."

"I, in fact, did not. That was for the second anniversary. Will chose the place for our first one."

"Really? What did he pick?"

"Wendy's."

Annabeth threw her arms up in exasperation and sighed, rubbing her forehead. "What is with you boys, going out to fast food restaurants? It seems Jason is the only one with some sense."

"You may think that after Piper told you about her anniversary, but he actually didn't come up with all that. I did." Nico stated with a smug look on his face.

"Oh seriously? No way you would come up with that after taking Will to McDonalds."

"I'm offended, what Jason did and taking someone to McDonalds is practically the same thing!"

Will showed up behind Nico right before Annabeth was about to object, nodding in agreement and very seriously, like this was an important issue to be discussed.

Annabeth looked at the two of them in shock. "Guys, fast food is good but its not for a romantic day like your anniversary."

Nico, Will and Piper all said at the same time, "Fast food IS romantic if it's the right place!"

Annabeth looked at Piper like she betrayed her, which she definitely did. Frank and Hazel showed up together and she breathed with relief. Those two would understand that fast food restaurants aren't romantic in the slightest.

"Hey Hazel, Frank, what do you think about fast food for an anniversary?"

Frank shrugged and spoke first. "I think its good, I took Hazel to Five Guys for ours." Hazel nodded in agreement, and they shared a loving smile.

Annabeth groaned loudly and put her head in hands. "Oh. My. Gods. How is fast food romantic? Its so gross and there are kids running all around the place. Why does everyone think that is it?"

Everyone shrugged in unison, which Annabeth was finding odd. They were doing a lot of things in sync while having this conversation. Nico stepped forward with a smirk and Annabeth scowled back at him.

"You see Annabeth, maybe you're the one who's wrong, and Percy had a super romantic idea to take you to McDonalds. Everyone else here took our significant others to fast food places."

Annabeth just gawked at him and everyone there did a group high five and they walked out of the shop, looking triumphant and leaving Annabeth dumfounded.
